Title: Reyes wants to leave again

GoonerLizzy - July 29, 2006 11:00 PM (GMT)
Yawn yawn ...Reyes wants to leave yet again in the papers today...which would explain why 02 have romoved him and added a random player in his place from their club level competition picture....probably shouldn't admit this here but if we get a good offer then should be accepted.

GoonerLizzy - July 30, 2006 08:21 AM (GMT)
i jus get sick of players always blabbing to the papers...fine if your unhappy just leave don't tell the world about it...it called a lack of respects (though sadly few footballers have that today)

apparently though arsenal have grown tired of homesick Reyes and now see the opportunity to ship him out and land one of Wenger's favourites.

Sources close to Calderon claim when Real asked about Cesc Fabregas last week Gunners chiefs said they had no chance of snatching Fabregas but Reyes would be available if the deal was right.

yeah u wonder if it's rumours or not as this happened last year as well same old story.

i won't believe the story untill arsenal confim it as u know newspapers they'll use any rumour/story 2 try and sell the papers.

i think if we get a good offer for him we should accept it as reyes seems 2 want 2 go back 2 spain. it seems a shame as i think reyes is gonna be such a great talent in the near future but if he's unhappy or homesick then he should go back. wats the point in keepin a player who is unhappy?

i'd be sad 2 see reyes go as i'm a massive fan of his and coz i've never met him so him goin back 2 spain will prob mean i never will. even when i went 2 arsenal games he's woz either not playin coz of injury, or not used as a sub :(

we will just have 2 wait and see what happens bout this story/rumour whatever it is

i woz also wonderin if reyes does leave do u reckon diwash will keep the arsenal section? i hope he does as lots of us r arsenal fans :D

Reyes Insists He's Happy At Arsenal

Jose Antonio Reyes has rejected reports that claimed he was eager to leave Arsenal and return to Spain.

The forward was quoted by Spanish media this morning as saying he hasn't adapted to life in England, leading to speculation that he'll join Real Madrid.

However, the 22-year-old has responded by telling the club's website: "I don't know where these words have come from.

"But what I would like to say is that I am very happy at Arsenal.

"At the moment we are all training hard in preparation for the new season and I am excited about not only playing at Emirates Stadium but also helping Arsenal to challenge for honours."

REYES STILL WANTS 2 MOVE 2 REAL

Jose Antonio Reyes is confident of securing a move to Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
And the winger, 22, told Spanish daily Marca he hopes the move goes through before Arsenal's Champions League qualifying tie against Dinamo Zagreb.

If the move stalls, Reyes added he would prefer not to figure for the Gunners against the Croatian champions.

"Obviously, if I do (play), it will make a move to Real more difficult. But if I have to, I will play," Reyes said.

"The manager (Arsene Wenger) hasn't said anything to me and I don't know if I am going to play or not.

"I hope I don't or that everything will be resolved before then."

Uncertainty has surrounded the Spaniard's future in north London since he admitted hankering after a move to his homeland and Real Madrid earlier in the summer.

Reyes told Arsenal's website he was "very happy" at the club, but conflicting comments came out in Spain at the same time.

He told Spanish paper As he was "not looking for another club", but added: "I have always said that Madrid is one of my biggest targets. Everyone knows it.

"Clubs are looking for me but the only way that any team, including Madrid, can sign me is by speaking to Arsenal."

Reyes' Arsenal career has been under scrutiny since he fell victim to a hoax early in 2005.

He told a Spanish radio presenter - who Reyes thought was Real's sporting director Emilio Butragueno - that he was keen on a move to the Bernabeu

REYES AWARE OF INTREST
(this report woz done on the 1st of august before more rumours of reyes leavin arsenal)

Arsenal star Jose Antonio Reyes has revealed he is aware of interest from other clubs in him.

Reports last weekend claimed Reyes could be on the move to Real Madrid as he remains homesick living in London

Reyes moved to deny the reports that he was looking to leave Arsenal although he has again admitted he would be interested in a move to Madrid if it came about.

“I have always said that Madrid has been one of my greater objectives,” Reyes told AS.

“It is something that I cannot hide and everybody knows that.

“Madrid is a treat which is very difficult to reject.

“It is the truth that I am not looking for a new team.

“In any case there are teams that are looking for me.

“What is clear is that the only way that some organisation, including Madrid, must try to sign me is by speaking with Arsenal.

“I will not move if Arsenal does not believe it is a good deal.”

Reyes insists he has not been affected by the speculation regarding his future and that he would be more than happy to stay at Arsenal.

“I am very calm. I am concentrating on my work and trying to give it everything to be in top shape for the new season,” added Reyes.

“If I had to continue at Arsenal I would be happy to do so.

“All players do not have the opportunity to play in a club of this category, with players of so much quality.

“I have left everything in the hands of my representative.”

Reyes says he has no problem at Arsenal even though he still misses life in Spain.

“I am very thankful to him (Arsene Wenger) for trusting me,” added Reyes. “In the club I do not have any problems.

“There are Spaniards in the team and that makes everything easier.

“Another thing is the lifestyle. There are many reasons why it is possible to miss Spain, not only the food or the time.

“They are many things that can help you to be totally happy or that you need something."

Reyes again denies interest in Real Madrid

Jose Antonio Reyes has once again denied that he is looking to move to Real Madrid.

Over the weekend, the Arsenal striker had to refute reports that he was after a transfer to the Bernabeu club. The story resurfaced in the media this morning.

“I did not say these words,” said Reyes in response. “I’ll tell you once again, I am happy at Arsenal and I am looking forward to the coming campaign. We have a new stadium this season and we are pushing for honours in all competitions. I do not want to leave Arsenal."
