Title: Come On England!

Reyes9 - June 10, 2006 08:37 AM (GMT)
I hope we beat Paraguay today. Good opening yesterday with Germany getting a good game out of Costa Rica and Ecuador shocking Poland. And Poland were poor.

I dunno how many other English people are on this forum but anyway

Come On England!

Reyes9 - June 10, 2006 07:27 PM (GMT)
We got lucky in the 2nd half. overall i think we deserved the win.

GoonerLizzy - June 10, 2006 07:44 PM (GMT)
:( I never got to watch it. The tv signal from my television company " telewest to name and shame" is down in my area of London and won't be mended until at least Monday  i have no money as well so couldn't go into the pub and watch it  I should have stayed up at uni

reyesno1fan - June 11, 2006 08:49 PM (GMT)
Yeah we were lucky in 2nd half but i think we didn't play well in 2nd half coz of the heat!!!!!!! the heat we had 2 day is the heat they had 2 play in yesturday, and i played football with my bro 2day in the heat and i woz totally nackered and i only played for 10 mins normally i can play for 2-3hours not prober match but just a kick about!!!!!

Reyes9 - June 15, 2006 08:41 PM (GMT)
2-0 vs t&t. Good win but we left it very late.

reyesno1fan - June 16, 2006 07:45 PM (GMT)
Yeah if we have any hope winning the world cup we need 2 play better much better
anyway a wins a win so i'm happy :D

reyesno1fan - June 20, 2006 06:51 PM (GMT)
ENGLAND VS SWEDEN

COME ON ENGLAND GOTTA WIN!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway i'm gonner now go and get a drink and watch the match!!!!!

Reyes9 - June 20, 2006 07:21 PM (GMT)
13 mins 0-0.

Owen injured 1st min. Should of bought on Theo. he bought on Crouch. Crouch has a yellow card. I would of thought bringing Theo on would give Crouch less time on the pitch so he wouldn't have as much time to worry about getting another yellow card and that would result in him getting a ban for the match vs Ecuador or Germany. Hopefully Ecuador as they finished 2nd. So all we need to do is win or draw this.

diwash™ - June 21, 2006 09:30 AM (GMT)
England escapes with a draw, they were lucky because Sweden came out strong in the 2nd half, and hit the cross bar twice. I really wanted to see England V Germany, well not this time.

reyesno1fan - June 21, 2006 10:28 AM (GMT)
Such a shame 2 see Owen get injured, sven should have brought walcott on what's the point in bringin him if ur not gonner play him. i really can't see us wining world cup without Owen, but u never know walcott could be the hero.

get well soon owen, hope it's not as serious as it looks.

amirah_as - June 22, 2006 05:18 PM (GMT)
Wahaha reyesno1 I definitely did not want England to draw with Germany this early in the game, because I know they would not win it. They just wouldn't.

England have a habit of inconsistency, of not putting enough pressure on the opponents from early on in the game. If they play like that against Germany they will panic. Chances may come for them, they may hit the crossbar or swing a ball dangerously close, but it will not go in the net. This is England, not Liverpool--they don't make amazing 2nd half comebacks. Unfortunately.

amirah_as - June 22, 2006 05:21 PM (GMT)
England vs Ecuador up next, everybody cross your fingers!!! :(

I would like the scoreline to be Eng 2 - 0 Ecuador but I have a strong feeling that the South Americans will score in the end of the 1st half.

Reyes9 - June 22, 2006 06:59 PM (GMT)
2-0 i think. As long as we win i don't care.

amirah_as - June 25, 2006 01:05 PM (GMT)
About an hour before the Eng v Ecuador game...
Apparently it's 36 degrees Celsius and everyone out there is melting!
Hope they can deal with the heat; it's not that bad if you're just sitting around but running for 90 minutes in that can be gruelling.

Come on England! :D

Reyes9 - June 25, 2006 03:51 PM (GMT)
half time 0-0. ecuador should of scored.

amirah_as - June 25, 2006 05:00 PM (GMT)
Yeah, Ecuador definitely should have gone ahead in the 1st half...
England were dragging their feet for a long time. They were making me so nervous I had to stop doing my homework and take a walk.

But it's 1-0 and off we go to the quarters!

Now I still have all this hw to finish. :hmm:

reyesno1fan - June 25, 2006 08:20 PM (GMT)
:yippy: we won!!!!!!! now we r in the quaters

We played better 2day, better than we have done, shame we didn't score more goals but the main thibg is we r through, now we just gotta see who we get in the quaters

portugal or holland

hummmmmm tough 1!!!!!!!

i would prob prefer 2 vs holland even though they prob be harder than portugal they don't play as dirty!!!!!!

anyway who even we get we gotta deal with it and jsut concentrate on gettin through 2 the semi's!!!!!

COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reyes9 - June 25, 2006 08:47 PM (GMT)
1-0 portugal 3 mins left.

amirah_as - June 26, 2006 03:12 PM (GMT)
I agree, I would have preferred Holland for the same reason. But we are facing Portugal, and if we get through that we will undoubtedly face Brazil... (unless Ghana or Spain can pull off a miracle.) I don't think I will breathe all through that one, just thinking of what happened last time makes me wince!

But one step at a time, let's throw Portugal out of the tournament first. :D

GoonerLizzy - June 26, 2006 03:37 PM (GMT)
i would have like to have played holland as my best friend is dutch so that would have been quite funny but england can now try and get revenge for euro 2004.

What i didn't like about the match was this mornign in a so called respectable paper (the times) showing Beckham being sick (showed everything) put me right off my breakfast

Reyes9 - July 1, 2006 08:51 AM (GMT)
Portugal game not long now. come on England!
