reyesno1fan - June 7, 2006 05:21 PM (GMT)
i woz reading about jose childhood and i really felt for him. i think he's amazing at what he's become not just 4 him but 4 his family 2.
i think he's mum and dad are amazing as well 2 stil manage 2 bring up children even though they had little money and little food.
it's unfortunate that he and his family had 2 live like that but it just shows ya if u get through it live can turn out great.

Jose GREAT example

Yes...very much football players had a life like this and were very poor...but they had very much ambition to work ...if you have nothing, you have nothing to loose! So they tried and they won! For example Rivaldo had a very bad childhood. His father left him and his family(or died,I don't know for sure) and they were very poor.He went to the soccer trainings kilometers by foot because he didn't have money for the bus.... and so on....the story can continue...

i think though that in a way even though reyes didn't have the best childhood in the material sense he had a better childhood that a lot of children don't have in that he had parents who cared for him.

Yeah i agree goonerlizzy at least he did have great parents that cared for him

he still does lol

apparently all his family suport real madrid and wen they played each other they supportred arsenal n they go 2 all the matches he plays in.

i think it's his brother and other family members not his mum and dad who support real

"My brother and some other family members are Real fans — but they all supported Arsenal when we played them.”...interview before villareal match in the reyes new section.

I may have got this wrong but i'm sure i read in an interview that his dad was a Betis fan

GoonerLizzy - June 13, 2006 04:01 PM (GMT)
yep i was right

His father, Francisco, is a retired electrician and mad Real Betis fan. He, too, was a talented footballer, but enjoyed life too much to play higher than Spain's second division B.
