History: Astrid was born to Sabine and Christian Haven. Obviously, that marriage didnt work out, as her mother is now remarried. She lived in a beautiful 2 story house. Growing up with her younger half-brother, Michael, Astrid was usually in charge of the entire house.
Needless to say that when she was the only one to receive a letter from a wizarding school, her whole family was astonished. She attended that school for 5 years, as her family grew older without her. A war was waged between southern Germany and Austria, and her brother was one of many enlisted in the defenses.
A week into the summer holiday of her 5th year, her brother was a casualty of battle. She was the only one summoned to the hospital.
She held his hand as he died. And was never the same.
As all of her relatives disowned this branch of the family tree, Astrid, Sabine, and Britta had nothing tying them down to Austria except the misery of their loss.
They moved to London to start a new life.
This wasnt too hard for Astrid to do. She was always smart, and learned english fairly easily.
She wasn't prepared to be accepted into Hogwarts, and almost decided against it. Wanting to be as close as she could be to her mother.
Her mother persuaded her to enroll, and thus she did.
Personality: Astrid has always been the gentle one. She took care of injured animals, and obviously watched over her brother. She has a shy disposition, yet, with her friends, she tends to be the life among the dead.
