History:

Severus Snape lived in a small brick house by a river in Spinner's End, Northern England. He grew up in seclusion, keeping to himself rather than mingling with the other Muggle children in his small neighborhood. Instead, he purchased many wizarding books and immersed himself in studies of all wizarding subjects, particurly Potions and the art of Leglimens. Another area of study that interested him was Dark Magic, but perhaps not in the way other wizards might be attracted; It intruiged him with it's mysterious complextion. His room was littered with books and cauldrons; Although he could not practice magic before he turned 17, he worked on potions in his room where his father, uneasy about his son's 'obsession', could not find them.

At the age of 11 he received his letter accepting him into Hogwarts, which he was extremely excited about. His father, however, was not. Tobius was still concerned about his son, and nervous about magic. Eileen didn't use magic all too much, but she was secretly enthralled her son was magical as well. He was sent off to Hogwarts with his parents well wishes (reluctant from his father) where he was sorted into Slytherin. He quickly created a hate for James Potter and his 'posse'--But only because Lily Evans continued to roll with that crowd.

Lily, his best friend, soon began to drift away as they entered their fifth year. Snape wanted their relationship to be more than just friends, but Lily was reluctant to go as far as dating Severus. He hung around the Slytherin crowd that was focusing on the Dark Arts (the forerunners of the Death Eaters) and this scared off Lily. Soon their friendship was completely demolished after one terrible mistake of Severus'. He let his elitest views get the better of him and called his friend a 'mublood', even though it was only in a moment of rage. After this relationship was destroyed, he dragged himself further into seclusion, focusing on his studies intensely. But he always watched out for Lily on the sidelines and loathed James for taking his friend away from him.

After he graduated and his parents died, he lived along in the small house, continueing his previous trend of seclusion in his small house. He was still interested in Dark Magic--And after a few invitations from his 'friends' at school, he joined Lord Voldemort as a loyal follower. However, his mind was not as cruel as his followers might have been. His interest in Dark Magic was purely curiousity, however he did share their elitest views. After a while he was repelled by their cruelty and rejoined the side of Dumbledore. Not long after was Voldemort's first downfall, of which brought him into a venomous mood. The loss of Lily Evans sent him in a depression and hate of Harry Potter, the boy who got to live while Lily died.

Personality:
Hates: Severus has always hated the fact that James was the one picked over him for Lily. He did have a love interest in mind of Lily instead of just a friendship like Lily preferred. Snape also hated the arrogance of James--If it couldn't have been him, Severus, with Lily, surely she could have picked someone 'worthier' of her. He also hated the fact that his father was a Muggle as his views were always very elitest. And lastly he hates the fact that he joined in the cruelty of the Death Eaters out of pure fascination.
Loves: Lily Evans, since he was the age of eleven. He admires and adores the muggleborn and despite his elitest views always wanted the best for her. He also loved studying--Studying--the Dark Arts, though he was sometimes repelled by the cruelty. He loved his cat, Quiver, for it was his only one true companion all through Hogwarts. And he loved Lily's green eyes that were always so warm and loving.
Wants: He has always wanted Lily as more than a friend--This could be considered as one of his greatest desires. He also wants to delve deeper into the mysteries of magic as he was always a very curious person.
Wishes: He desires that he was a pureblood, and that Lily would have been his wife, not James. He also secretly wishes he could have had the popularity and talent of James Potter, though he would never admit it.
Fears: He fears his own self at times, what it is capable of and how at times it doesn't seem to be controlled. He also fears loving again, because he has loved and he has lost, when he hadn't truly had his lover completely. Another fear is that he will be completely shunned because of his part-blood status.

Favourite Color: Green, because that was the color of Lily Evans' eyes. Black is a close second, because it is the color of mysterious and unknown.
Favourite Past School Subject: Potions, because it was the one thing he could practice before turning 17 out of school and he excelled at it.
Favourite Animal: Cats, because of his companion Quiver, his black cat.
Favourite Food: Peppermint Patties, because it was the traditional Christmas gift from Lily every year until he called her a 'mudblood'.
Least Favourite Color: Yellow. The mellow shade never appealed to his better nature for some odd reason he could never explain.
Least Favourite Past School Subject: Astronomy. He didn't see the point of it.
Least Favourite Animal: Rat. The rat is the Animagus of Peter Pettigrew, who betrayed the Potters (and more specificly, Lily Evans-Potter) to Voldemort who killed Lily (and her husband, but that wasn't near as painful to him).
Least Favourite Food: Spaghetti. Lily and James were caught sharing a spaghetti noodle in the Great Hall the last day of 7th year. It ended in an extending snogging period of which Snape would not watch.

Wand Core: Dragon Heartstring
Wand Wood: Oak
Wand Length: 11 inches
Wand Movement: Normally a flick
Wand Strengths: More particularly Dark Arts, and his own little curses he created out of pure curiousity.
Wand Weaknesses: Household Charms. He could never master the arts of simple things like 'scourgify' and etc.

Affiliation: Neutral

He first joined the Dark Side, but he was only in it for the curiousity and the interest in Dark spells. Later before the first of Voldemort's downfall's he switched to the Light Side. It is assumed he is on the light side, though he enjoys practicing dark magic, so he considers himself more or less neutral.

Special Talents (If Any): Occulmency and Legilimency. Before he realized he had magical blood, he had an uncanny talent of knowing what people could do before they'd do it. He also could read expressions and why someone stood like they did extremely well. Snape also was very hard to read, very introverted. When he learned about Legilimency and Occulmency he studied it hard, and soon became an expert.

Special Possessions (If Any): Previously, it was Quiver, his cat. Now it is his Pensieve, bought for him by a rather particular student that was a lot like himself (Alumni, now) he encountered through the years. He stores all his good, and some not very good, thoughts in there...Whenever he wishes to take a trip in past and visit Lily or another memory he goes into his Pensieve.

Sample Post: (Post at least two paragraphs.)

Severus stood off to the side, observing quietly. He watched as a teenage boy with shoulder-length black hair fidgeted with his robes anxiously, perched on the edge of a chair in the center of the room. As Snape circled around slightly to get a better view, he analyzed his own features, in that young form, staring back at him. He hadn't visited this memory in a while--Much too painful. But he supposed that now was the time to face that pain and get it over with, rather than avoiding it.

The younger Snape seemed to peak at a watch displayed proudly on his wrist impatiently, his gaze wandering to the door every few moments. The older Snape set down at the teacher's desk in the front, folding his hands neatly on the desk and watching with indifference. How foolish he had been when he was a boy! Had he really thought, even for a moment, than he could ever possibly--

His thoughts were inturrupted by the tentative opening of the door. Younger Severus snapped his head up, a rare smile showing a little as he found sparkling green eyes. "Lily." The one word exchanged was enough to bring Lily forward tentatively. "Severus?" She seemed to be nervous. "Severus, I shouldn't be here. This isn't right--" "No! I mean...Stay here. Please. For a little bit. Let me explain." The older Severus stood at the harsh proclumation from his younger self. He always did have to control himself around Evans.

The conversation between the two memory figures continued quietly as Severus walked slowly to stand in front of the doorway. He knew that eventualy he would have to face this. For years, ever since it had happened, he had wondered what Lily's expression really was that day...And now, he would see. He would know what she was thinking when--

"To hell with James! Why not me?!" Severus had his wand out, sparks flying. Lily had her own, positioned in defense. "I love him, Severus." The quiet words brought a short pause while Severus' face contorted into fury, pain, sadness...Then a quick bang with a chorus of 'no's followed. When the haze cleared, the older Severus caught full blast of what he had been searching for. He stumbled slightly, hate for his former self flashing across his features before he ripped himself out of the memory and into his office again.

The devastating truth of what had happened that day, that horrible day when Severus called Lily to finally find out if they could ever be anything more...It hit Severus like a fist, and he sat slowly back into his chair, thinking. The expression on Lily's face had not been hateful, like he had thought. It had been one of fear.

Severus took a moment to compose his face once more before sweeping out of his office.

What is the meaning of life? (Read the rules for the answer.) Zzzz.

[Edit: Typo. Meant to be 227 pounds, not 127. :)]

Accepted provided you change Snape's weight. 227lbs is no where close to what he'd weigh (Especially at that height). Try somewhere around. That and his height, he's about 5'11" or so. Other than that, it looks great.

Definately read up on the plot here too. This site will pickup in a month or two, right now everybody is on the sister site.
