We all know about the future but there can not be a future without a past.
The year is 990. Hogwarts has just reopened its doors for the third time since it was opened but things are not as perfect as they seem on the surface.
It is the year when the rivalry between the houses starts to be less then friendly. No longer will you see Slytherin students walk down a corridor alongside a Gryffindor student. Salazar has started to set his ideals into the minds of his house. Many are from pure blood families, and those that arent are half bloods, hating the half of themselves that is muggle. Salazar is tainting the harmony of the school.
Although magic is not openly used in the corridors, it is obvious that there are problems between the students. Problems that the majority of Professors want to sort out. But all is not well in the professors lounge. Salazar is openly arguing that those of muggle parents should not be allowed within the school. That they should be left for the witch hunters that are collecting up all of those that seem to have magical ability in the muggle world.
Above all of this fear lies within the hearts of all wizards and witches. The fear that a muggle will stumble upon their lives and give them away. The fear of burning on the stake. The fear of being drowned. The fear of death. Is it a matter of time before a muggle finds out about the school? Is it a matter of time before a Muggle stumbles upon Hogsmeade? Or is the protection they have enough?
