Walking slowly into the Great Hall, ignoring the looks she got from some people and trying hard to push her way past the Slytherin students, Ciara Black finally found her way to the Gryffindor table. Today her hair was a bright blue and her eyes matched, although the white stripes running through her hair were not echoed in her eyes. That was a skill she had yet to master.

Glancing around slightly looking for her sister she sighed before turning back to the table. She dipped her spoon into the bowl of porridge in front of her before dropping it right into it and resting her head on her hands. She stared into space (or rather at the Slytherin table) not noticing anything going on around her.

Her mind flicked back to her childhood. She was in a graveyard. Or rather a memorial garden, sitting on a small bench. Her Mother and sister were placing flowers next to a small stone in the ground and cutting away the grass that threatened to hide it. Ciara's face was hidden by long golden locks of hair. She hadn't yet discovered her powers. If she had she knew exactly what colour her hair would really be. You see Ciara Blacks power was unique. For all she could control it her metamorphmagi powers were highly influenced by her mood. Today was the 14th anniversary of her Fathers death. She'd never met him and this tore her apart inside.

She knew her sister was the same but she hid it better. Both girls felt deprived. They'd grown up in a small yet busy town in Scotland and all their friends had Fathers. Watching them mess around and do normal family things hurt the twins but they would never show it. They were jealous of what the others had, they'd never know what it was like to be so close to their Father.

A tear trickeled down Ciara's cheek as she continued her trip down memory lane. she never noticed someone staring at her.

OOC: Was it you? Open!

Abby was looking at the girl, and as it seemed she was caught by the girl, she decided to walk over to the girl. Ingoring the looks of the Gryffindors, she sat down across from her at the Gryffindor table. "Hey, are you alright?" she asked her. She normally wasnt nice to Gryffindors, but for some reason she felt sorry for the girl, even though she had never seen her.

Snapping from her dream like state she glanced up. Why does she look familiar? she asked herself. Casting it to the back of her mind she wiped her cheek, glad she had decided not to wear her make up today. Or at least not as much as normal. Her lips were tainted a metallic blue and her eyelids matched but that was it. She'd refrained from applying her white foundation and mascara. She knew today she'd cry and didn't want to draw attention to it.

"I'm fine" she muttered as she looked at the girl "Shouldn't you have stayed over there. Seems like your house mates aren't too happy about you sitting here" she nodded to indicate a few boys who were looking at Abby with menacing looks.

"They dont matter." she glanced over to them and shot them a look. "You seem upset, and not a snob like the rest of the Gryffindors." she said. "Im Abby Black by the way, just incase you are wondering who I am." she smiled.

Ciara looked slightly shocked as Abby introduced herself. She wracked her mind trying to think. Then it hit her like a ton of bricks. "You-You're James's daughter!" Her eyes grew wide as she looked at her. Finally. Someone apart from her sister who knew what she was going through. Ciara had never met Abby before. She'd never met any of her family in fact but she'd seen photos of them and Abby hadn't changed much.

Ciara also knew Abby had lost both her parents. How, she had never found out but she'd heard about her cousin.

"Ho-- how do you know?" she was in shock. Not too many people knew her Father's name, yet alone knew him.

"I'm Sirius' kid. Mum told us all about Dad's side of the family. I thought i recognised you from somewhere. We have photos of you and your parents when you were a kid. You really haven't changed much"

"So Id be related to you or what?" she asked. She was still shocked. She thought that her and Rachael were the only Blacks left that she knew of. "Are-- are you sure?"

Ciara nodded. "Dad was freed from prison. Or rather he escaped then Mum was freed and then er...you know. He-he died." she sighed slightly "They cleared out things from Grimmauld place and photos of you and your family were amongst them. i know it's you. You haven't changed much really and Mum told us as mucha s she could."

"But-- I never knew... this is really weird." she sighed. Today was different for her. Instead of being sad, she was actualy shocked and a bit happy. "So your my cousin?"

"Well techinically we're second cousins once removed. Or is it second cousins twice removed?" she asked the last to herself. "Well we're not direct cousins anyway. It's still the same though. A Blacks a Black. Even the ones who think bloods better than anything else in the world. My Dad and your Dad were cousins. So we're sorta related but it's confusing."

"Yeah, Im confused." she said. This day was turning out weirder than she thought. "Are you sure?"

Ciara turned and pulled her wand from her back pocket. "Accio!" it took a few minutes but soon enough a photoalbum was whizzing over the heads of the students and landed neatly in front of Ciara. "This is what i have left of the Black family history. Take a look. You'll see why i'm sure"

Abby opened it up and flipped through the pages. When she reached the page with her picture, she looked at it. The she looked up at the girl. "Whats your name?" she asked, since she didnt know.

"Ciara" she said simply before flipping the book that Abby now had to a childhood photo. Two boys laughing their heads off and an evil looking old woman chasing them around a garden. "That's my grandma and your Dad and mines. They were about nine when that was taken." For the first time that day a smile etched across her face.

Abby slightly smiled. Even though it ached to look at her Dad, it actualy made her feel a bit happy. "They are so young.." she sighed. "How come I never heard about you before?" she asked, looking away from the picture.

"No-one in the family knows about us. Mum took me and my sister off to Scotland. We were born not long before Dad died. He saw us once before he had to go back into hiding. We've never been in contact with anyone from the family. Mum was worried that old Mouldy pants might come after us. She didn't know how Dad died until recently."

"Oh, Im sorry." she sighed. "How long have you been at Hogwarts?" it was really weird that she had never seen or heard of her. She had to find out about her, just to make sure.

"I'm a fourth year now. I've only been here a few months though. Mum had us at Darkstone School of Sorcery but withdrew us from there because she didn't think their teaching skills were up to scratch. She just hated having us so far away if you ask me"

"Darkstone? Never heard of that place." Have I? she asked herself. The name seemed to ring a bell, but where had she heard it?

"It's a special school. Mainly for people with strange powers like me and Ally. We've somehow managed to inherit metamorphmagi powers from Dads cousin Tonks. They help you build on your power but Mum took us out as I've still not learned to unhook my power from my emotions."

Now I remember! "Thats nice." she smiled. "You like it at Hogwarts?" she asked her. She was trying her best to keep a conversation going. For she was in shock, and she was having diffculties finding what to say.

"It's ok. Much colder in this castle though. Weird sort of since Darkstone was made of ice. I guess they made it a bit warner there though to keep us all from freezing to death. I do miss my boyfriend though. He wasn't allowed to transfer" At this she lowered her head to look at her plate again and she felt terrible. Her heart ached for Xander and her Father.

"Oh, Im sorry." she said, looking at her. "Do you know why he couldnt transfer? If you dont mind telling me." she said. She glanced back to see some of the other Slythern's laughing. She frowned, and turned back to look at Ciara.

"His Mother refused to let him come 'to is monstrosity of a school.' She's French. She would have had him at Beauxbatons if the place wasn't for girls. They have a male school there but Xander got the letter for Darkstone first and he decided it would be better for his education."

OOC: Le Katie needs to go to msn and sign on. Le Katie needs to help me decide whether to scrap some stuff on DS :S

"Oh, I see." she smiled softly. "Youll get over it, hopefully. Youll meet someone new, and sometime youll forget about him." she said, trying her best to cheer her up.

OOC: le Katie cant because she be on her mom's screen, which doesnt have msn. Le Katie also cant because she is scanning the drive, which is also on her mom's screen.... but almost done. I should be on in five minutes or so :P

"I don't really think I'll get over him" she muttered as she started messing around with a small ring on her left hand. Her wedding finger to be exact. "He's made sure we won't forget each other. I have this and he has my name tattooed across his back at his shoulder blades. He's sorta fucked if we ever do break up" she muttered with a small smile.

"Are you engaged to him?" she asked, looking at the ring. "Cause if you are, I dont see why not.."

OOC: I wrote his...it should have said my lmao. Changed it though.

BIC: "Nah. I'm not ready for that sort of commitment. It's an eternity ring though. It's commitment but not one that says I'm gonna marry him. Not just yet"

"I get what you mean," she said, putting it together. "I think..."

((You should see Kyle and Dustin right now... Its sooo FUNNY!))

OOC: What are they doing? Hope they're not throwing stones at you lol.

BIC: "Yeah it's sort of complicated when you think about it. I promised I'd go back and see him sometime. I don't know if I can though. All those memories we have. It was hard leaving them behind. It'll be even harder going back to them though."

((lets say, wrestling to the extream funniness... i even got in on it, although I stopped when they were trying to headlock me. but they continued, and well, havent stopped laughing.))

"I know what you mean, although in a slightly different way." she sighed. Although hers was family; her dead one.

"I'm sorry. Here I am rambling on about me. What about you? Who are you staying with? Do they treat you well?"

"Im going with one of my friends when the term ends.." she said. "And, how do you know I have no home?" she asked, as it just sank in on what she was asked,.

"There was one thing Mum promised Dad. Whatever hapenned she had to inform your side of the family. Your Dad was one of the few people she trusted with the information. She sent him and owl and the letter came back unopened. She figured something hapenned to your Dad so she's had someone tail you. Not all the time. Just someone that checks up on you every once in a while. She'd have invited you home but she wasn't sure about how you'd take finding family you didn't know about. That no-one really knew about" she sighed, glad to have that heavy secret off of her shoulders.

Once again, Abby was in shock. "Its incrediable how people find things out." she sighed. "I just wish I had my parents still. I wouldnt have to be going through this right now."

"It's hard losing loved ones. Even harder if you knew them well" Ciara said simply. She considered herself both licky and unlucky. One she had never known her Father to love him as much as others loved their Fathers but she had never known what it was like to have a Father and she pitied herself for it.

"I know how you feel." she said sadly. She thought about her parents. Even though she was some-what happy that her dad was gone, but yet, still sad. She had never known her real mom, but she did have a step-mom, who was like a real mom. That made her feel worse.

"Well I have to get going. Places to go people to meet" she said with a weak smile as she gathered her things. If truth be known she'd been given permssion to go to her Fathers grave and she was already five minutes late for meeting her Mother down at the school gates. "I'll probably see you around" she said before turning on her heel and walking off towards the school doors.

Abby waved as she watched her leave. SHe got up and walked back over to the Slytherin table, where they still were laughing.
