Ginny walked into the great hall and walked over to the gryffindor table. She sat down and waitied to see who would show up. She hoped Harry would come soon, but now that he was a teacher he was very busy! She smiled deep in daydream thoughts.

Kara came into the great hall. She went over to the Griffindor table and sat down. Getting out a book, she started reading.

"Hey there Kara." Ginny smiled at her. "What are you reading?"

"Hi Kara," Harry said, coming in and sitting next to the Ginny. "Are you new around here? I haven't seen you before...it's nice to see a new gryffindor though!"

"Hey Harry." She smiled as he sat next to her.

Kara looked up. She said, "Hi, I am new. I love books."

"What are you reading?" Asked Ginny. She grabbed some coffee and toast,then sat opposite Harry trying not to look at him.

'Yeah, books are great! Ginny loves to read too...I do, I just haven't had much time lately." He took scrambled eggs and pumpkin juice.

Having being sorted, Neville came over to the Gryffindor table and sat down as well, showing everyone his pet toad, Trevor.

Ginny looked up seeing Neville joining them. "Hey." She said mustering a small smile. "I see Trevors doing well."

She cringed noting Harry so close to her. All she wanted was him to be a million miles away and yet, there was nothing she could do about it except ignore him. "Had a good summer Neville?"

"Yeah, my summer's been great" said Neville. He then noticed that Trevor had gotten loose again. "Trevor! Come back!" he picked up the toad and placed it on the table. "So how's your mum and dad, Ginny?" he asked.

Ginny mustered a small smile for Neville. Not everyone needed to know how bloody awful she was feeling. "Good good. My mum and dad? They're well! Fred and George have opened up their own shop finally. It's set to be in hogsmede soon." She added feeling proud of her two brothers.

She shook her head watching Neville chase after his toad. Trevor was always getting away no matter when he did. "How's everything with your Gran?" She asked.
