Edie Coombs - August 27, 2008 01:19 AM (GMT)
It was one of those nights where being stuck inside just wasn't going to cut it. Edie had opened up her bedroom window around eleven o'clock, having been distracted by her Lord of the Rings marathon on her day off. Seeing as she wasn't in college or anything and had no intentions of going, she usually worked, but she had the day off so it was spent curled up in bed sleeping and watching her hobbits. The third movie had just ended and she had to take Snickelfritts out so he could do his duty. She checked the weather to see whether she'd have to wear a hoodie or not, and when the window was open, she came to the discovery that it was an amazing night out. She had been sitting around in her apartment all day for what? Silly girl. So she took the dog out for a quick walk so he could piss and shit, then she went back to her apartment to get ready for a night out. No, she wasn't going to go out clubbing or anything but instead was going to head down to the beach and hang around there. First things first she wanted to find someone to go with her because going alone = lame. Riley was still in Washington, lame, so she'd have to find someone else to go with her. While skimming her contacts, she came across Tristan's name. Ooh, Tristan! It had been awhile. So she sent him a quick text telling him to meet her down at the pier and to bring alcohol. Then after that was finished and done, she threw her cell onto her bed, having no intentions of taking it with her. She slipped into a black bikini then over top that she wore a pair of Daisy Dukes and an old Ramones tee. She headed on out then, grabbing a bottle of Jacks from under the cupboard on her way out. Then it was down to the pier she went! Upon arrival, she hung out around the entrance of it (if entrance is the best word) and awaited Tristan's arrival by sneaking sips of her whiskey to get all started and such.

Tristan Conrad - August 27, 2008 03:31 AM (GMT)

Tristan had passed out not too long ago, after a long shift at the bar last night, or should I say early this morning, then came home to head straight off to the tattoo parlor. It was one of those times where his planning sucked and he hadn't checked ahead to see if any of his work schedules overlapped. He had stripped down to his boxers the moment he got home, made it as far as the couch, and completely zonked out. Tristan had been undisturbed for a good three or four hours now, until he heard some familiar jingle go off in his room only 20 feet away. Groaning, he suddenly stirred from his sleep, pushing himself up off the cushions to glance around lazily and take in his surroundings. To his relief, he had actually made it home and at least that part hadn't been a figment of his imagination. Yawning, he rolled off the couch and onto the floor, staring up at his ceiling while he tried to muster up enough energy to head and check just who had texted him. Of course, if it was no one of real importance, he would be severely pissed. Ruining his lazyass moment just to inform him of nothing? Yeah, that'd push him over the edge. But if it turned out to be some pressing issue, he'd be relieved. Grabbing himself up from the carpet, he stumbled into his room, adjusting his boxers before searching through last night's jeans for his cell.

Sliding it out, he blinked a few times, focusing on what the name read, immediately smiling. So maybe it wasn't going to be some urgent news, but it was definitely better than a pestersome message. Quickly replying, he told her he'd be down there in about 20 minutes. Throwing his phone back onto the bed, he rushed towards the closet, grabbing a pair of shoes before quickly heading for the kitchen. Yanking two cupboards open, he ran his finger over each bottle of alcohol, deciding on some grey goose and seagram's 7. Putting both in one hand, necks of the bottles intertwined in his fingers, he closed the doors with his free hand. Tristan left his apartment only moments later, realizing it probably would have been smart to lock it, but what was the luck of someone coming to steal or ransack his place? Yeah, not likely. It was only then that he also realized the state of his attire, nothing but boxers. Now that one made him stop dead in his tracks. Well, they were going swimming, weren't they? Okay, so that fact wasn't confirmed, but they were heading down to the beach, so he could just say he assumed. Continuing on his walk, he nodded his head, chuckling under his breath.

Tristan lived about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the beach, depending on how fast or determined you were to get there, making it a waste to get in your car, start it up, drive down there, park, turn off the car, get out, lock it then go search for the easiest route down to the water. Instead? He walked. Making record time, he was touching sand within a few minutes, spotting Edie moments afterwards. He wandered over, taking a bottle in each hand and shaking them lightly to show what kind of treat he brought, before leaning over to peck her cheek seeing as his hands were full. "Heyyy!" It had been awhile since they last saw each other, huh? "Did you miss me?" Tristan grinned.

If Edie had her phone with her, she would have gotten that text but since she had left her phone at home (due to the fact she really didn't want to drag it to the beach - she'd get too worried) she remained there unknowing. Not that it mattered much because she managed to amuse herself with the booze in her hands. A few people passed by every now and then, looking at the lone girl with her big bottle of booze with an odd look, but she just ignored them. In fact, a few people she even smiled and waved at which got her even weirder looks. But what other people thought of her didn't matter all that much. She was starting to wish that she had brought her phone along so she could have been amusing herself with all the games on there right now. She had this kickass skateboarding game that was really a fun time and not to mention she was pretty awesome at it. Considering she had never stepped on a skateboard in her entire life and never really had many intentions of it either. She was kind of a bit too clumsy and had zero balance so she'd end up failing horribly and falling on her ass. That wouldn't be too much fun, she had to say. So instead she just stood there, how exciting. But then she saw Tristan coming towards her, and a wide grin spread to her features. "Hey baby," she exclaimed to him before making a small squeeing sound and clapping her hands together (the best she could with one hand holding booze) when she saw the booze he had brought. "Long time, as always," she smiled at him. "How've you been?" she asked him, tipping her head to the side a little as she took another swig of whiskey.
