Nick was at the pet shop because he wanted a dog but he wasnt getting one at the moment. He was just looking and thinking about what kind of dog he wanted once he turned eighteen and got a house. He walked by the golden retriever puppies and watched them. He didn't think he wanted a golden retriever. So he moved on.

After looking a bit more he walked out of the store and put his sunglasses on. He started to walk away and down the street to get back home. He looked into the windows of interesting shops but kept walking.
