Title: * calm before the storm

Avery Cullen - June 22, 2008 03:03 AM (GMT)
Okay, so it wasn't the calm before the storm because like, the storm already happened in the kitchen of Derek's place. Not that they spoke about that, and not that Avery rememberd all of that but he rememberd enough to be uncomfortable with it, you know? Not like he blamed Derek or anything, it takes too to cookie dough fight, and he was still his best friend and always would be. He and Derek has made plans to meet at the pool, where he sat now, on the ledge in his bright green swimming trunks, his legs up to his knee's in the cool water, simply staring down, not really hearing the splashing kids and stuff. It wasn't as crowded as he'd thought, seeing as most of the younger kids weren't out of school until the end of the month. He let out a sigh, and brushed hair from his eyes, glancing around to see if Derek had arrived yet.

Derek really wasn't that worked up over what had happened, probably because he could barely remember a thing. That's what happens when you drink too much alcohol and do naughty things with your best friend. Oops. Well, he did have a few bits and pieces in his mind like he was aware that he sucked Avery off which later made him really awktnawkgn when he remembered it. But yeah, he was trying not to think about it because it was just sort of weird. Yeah, he'd always had a thing for Avery but how could he not? The guy was hot, but it didn't mean anything. He actually felt sort of guilty for doing anything in the first place 'cause of the last week with Ezra. It had been amazing and in one night and two bottles of booze he sort of fucked things up a bit. Oh well - he'd fix it. He arrived at the pool after throwing some swim trunks on and grabbing the important shit from his place. He took a look around and saw Avery, and the taller male went straight over and poked Avery in the side with his foot. "Hey there," he said with a small smile to his features.

Avery wasn't sure if this change what he was, sexually. That was his problem, the uncertainty. Avery looked up, kind of looking a little dopey with his hair hiding his eyes, and offered a gentle smile. "Hey man, good you could make it." he nodded, and then nodded to the pool. "Wanna get in?" he stretched out, splashing his legs around in the water and cocking his head at the taller male, rubbing his eyes a little tiredly.

It was up to Avery what he took out of the other day, because there was no one here forcing him to go one way or the other. "Damn straight I could make it. I mean, what the hell else am I gonna do?" he laughed out, shaking his head a bit. Meet Avery or sit around doing nothing. I wonder which ones more tempting [/sarcasm] "Heck yes," he exclaimed, throwing his towel and other shit onto a chair and then at a run, he jumped right into the pool, sending splashes everywhere.

Avery kind of just blinked at the other males sudden surge of energy, and then laughed, following him into the pool with a splash of his own. He went down, and came up a few feet away from the ledge, his hair soaking. He didn't look for Derek, instead for a fun floaty thing. Like at the pool by my house there is this one thing and its a airplane and it floats like a boat and thats what I mean and so anyway, he found it. Yeah. He found this floaty thing, and spotted another kid going for it. He shook his head, jumping forward, his yell of "MINE" ending in bubbles instead of an 'e' as he flailed towards the floating thing and stole it from a four year old. Owned. Then he swam back with it, pulling it awkwardly to where Derek was. "Looksie was I got." he smiled happily.

Derek was like a little boy at heart, which is why his energy could turn on and off no matter what the situation was. He was just far too happy for his own damn good, even when life was shit. Derek was currently just swimming around a bit getting used to the damn cold water of outside pools. Weren't they supposed to be like, really warm? But for the most part they were cold. Ugh. He got used to it, though, and by that time Avery was coming over with a floating thing. "Aw, I want one," he said, immediately pouting and taking a look for a floaty thing. Nothing. "Waahh," he exclaimed like a crying baby. Stupid whores. Oh well, he'd live.
