Title: Out with the new, back in with the old?
Description: >>Ashton!<<
Abrey Thomas - April 20, 2006 01:06 AM (GMT)
Abrey wasn't one to sit and think about the past, and he prefered to live in the present. Unlike a few people he knew, he had no patience for learning. Not that he was lacking in the knowledge department, but he just didn't have the attention span to sit and listen to a teacher talk about people in red and blue coats with gunpowder at their sides.
Chewing on his bottom lip as he drew stick figures along the margin of the paper he was supposed to be taking notes on, Abrey let out a giggle. For a seventeen year old, you'd think his artwork would've improved since finger painting. Pushing his long and untidy hair from his face, he tapped his feet childishly.
Today, he'd dressed in a pair of too short jeans that could've been classified as floods, pink Chucks with the laces undone, and a Jimi Hendrix t-shirt. Abrey clicked the toes of his shoes together, looking up from his paper to scan the classroom.

Ashton hated when notes had to be taken. He hated writing facts unless they were really interesting.Of course, these weren't.Ashton actually had a problem with sitting still and/or being quiet. They weren't his strong points.
Right now he was just stareing at his paper just writing notes and when i say note, I mean musc notes. He sucked at writing the lyrics, but was awesome at writing the music.

Too preoccupied with his doodling, Abrey glanced up at the front of the class with no interest or attempt to listen. Turning to look back down at his lined page, he looked over at a boy sitting near him. Instead of scribbling down notes like the rest of the class was, he was busy with music notes. Something that Abrey's small mind never had the capacity to grasp.
Leaning over with a friendly smile and tilting his head lightly, Abrey looked at the notes in confusion. "That doesn't look like history to me," he whispered with a light chuckle.

Ashton looked up from his work hearing another boy's words. "They're better than history notes."He looked at the other boy and smirked.
Abrey Thomas - April 28, 2006 02:57 AM (GMT)
"They sure look a whole bunch prettier," he giggled, looking down at his failed attempt at notes. Most were partially finished and trailed off into childish doodles. Abrey looked over at him once more, putting on a childish and excited smile. "So you play an instrument?"
Ashton Brewer - April 28, 2006 09:46 AM (GMT)
Ashton smiled at the other boy's response. "I think so too!"He laughed looked at the other boy. "Yes.I play drums. People think its srange I write music when i only play drums, but I'm good at it.Thats why I do it."
Abrey Thomas - April 30, 2006 10:39 PM (GMT)
"Ohwow. Drums always make me smile. But I think, if you're good at writing music and you really like it lots, there's no reason it should be weird then," he explained, nodding his head as he convinced himself this was true. Abrey dragged a hand through his long and untidy hair, flashing a boyish smile.
"Only drums? Jeeez, at least you can play an instrument and make music," he giggled. "I can even play the triangle."
