Title: Another New Student
Helena Bree Sanders - June 12, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
Helena walked up to the school's entrance, classical music playing from her iPod to sooth her nerves (it wasn't working). Gracefully, but tentatively, she opened the front door. Looking around she found the principal's office and approached it. She gulped and quietly brusher her dark brown, recently highlighted hair, out of her brown eyes. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and said to the secretary, "I'm here for my first day." She could feel many eyes on her; the other students, she figured, were already judging her. That's never a good thing...
Monique Newbright - June 13, 2007 12:49 AM (GMT)
Monique was in the principal's office again. Someone had accused her of spraypainting their locker. The accusation was bullshit and she had no doubt that she would be out of here soon enough. She laughed at that. Looking around, she saw a nervous looking girl come in. When the girl finished up her conversation. She walked over to her. "Hey," she said, "Don't look so nervous. You're going to be fine. You're new right?"
Bailey Progue - June 13, 2007 05:21 AM (GMT)
Doors slammed open, and a petite girl but what seemed with a rowdy attitude kicked open the door. "Alright, alright you can let go of me now", she glanced back at her probation officer, "I expect you to stay at school. I don't want to see you at the mall or down at the beach." Bailey rolled her eyes, "fine what ever." Watching her officer walk out the door she turned, to see two girls. One must have been new, the other looked rather familiar. "Hey so what's new?"
Helena Bree Sanders - June 13, 2007 07:23 AM (GMT)
The new girl looked at the two, more experienced students and smiled sheepishly. "I'm Helena, I'm from the south shore of Massachusetts." She waved and gave her best I'm not so nervous, really!' smile, which she doubted looked real. She fixed the skirt of her pink, Gothic- Lolita style dress and tucked her hands up, into her sleeves, "I'm gonna miss all that snow in the winter, heh..." She continued to grin, almost a bit scarily and manic-like, but manic was far from what she felt for her insides were churning and bubbling like a fairy tale witch's cauldron. This sucks... she thought, Majorly. Maybe, however, one or both of these girls would be someone she could befriend...
Bailey Progue - June 13, 2007 02:10 PM (GMT)
Bailey smiled, "Massachusetts's, wow your a pretty long way from home huh? So what made you come out to media induced sunny California?" by this time Bailey was being a cheeky smart ass, not on purpose she just sorta was. "God, snow, the only snow you get here is up in the mountains, and half the time its fake. I'm Bailey Progue by the way."
Monique Newbright - June 13, 2007 06:54 PM (GMT)
Monique noted the other girl who had walked in led by a probation officer. Hmmm, she thought, I could get to like this girl. She turned her attention to the girl from Massachusetts. "East side girl," she said, "Awesome. I'm Monique and I come from Arizona." She smiled lightly.
Bailey Progue - June 13, 2007 07:08 PM (GMT)
Bailey glanced over at the other girl who was standing in the office, she held out her hand, "The name is Bailey. And you are?" Bailey smiled as she winked smirkly to the other girl.
Monique Newbright - June 13, 2007 07:13 PM (GMT)
Monique grinned and shook her hand. "Monique," she said, "Nice to meet you." She asked the question that had been burning in her mind since Bailey had walked in. "Why was the cop leading you in here?" she asked, "He looked like a DOC guy."
Bailey Progue - June 13, 2007 07:20 PM (GMT)
Bailey smiled, "Good Question. His name is Officer Steven McCowen, he's my probation officer. See, I'm one of those good girls that got caught. but I love it so what ya going to do about it." She pulled a pack of cigarettes out of her bag placed one behind her ear and than offered Monique a cigarette, "you smoke?"
Monique Newbright - June 13, 2007 07:23 PM (GMT)
Monique laughed. "Yeah sometimes," she said, taking a cigarette and tucking it in her pocket. Better not to smoke in the principals office. She was rebellious, not stupid. "So why do you have a probation officer?" she asked, "What did you get caught doing?"
Bailey Progue - June 13, 2007 07:32 PM (GMT)
"It's more like, I got caught for ditching school, and the cops finally caught up to me. I mean, I'm smart enough not to get caught but it's all the more fun to try and get caught, and see how long it takes for the stupid ass pigs to even catch up with you." Bailey giggled, she put the pack of cigarettes back into her bag. "Not to mention, my 'rents, thought I was getting "out of control" for them to handle"
Monique Newbright - June 13, 2007 07:35 PM (GMT)
Monique laughed. "Haha, I hear you there," she said, "My parent's have given me every rant in the book. Apparently they want me to 'fall in line.' The only falling I do during their lectures is falling asleep." She laughed. "And they wonder why I don't listen to a word they say."
Bailey Progue - June 13, 2007 07:42 PM (GMT)
"That's parents, and well authority in general. I mean the least they could do is make the lectures more interesting, right?" Bailey laughed, she thought about it a little, and well it was like that for the whole world. "I mean if they want us to pay attention, it should spark our interest right?"
Monique Newbright - June 13, 2007 07:57 PM (GMT)
Monique grinned. "Yeah really," she said, then saw the principal gesturing for her. "I'll be right back after I finish telling the principal how I didn't spraypaint anyone's locker." She followed the principal into his office and started in on him. "Ya know," she said, "This is bogus." The principal looked at her. "How so?" he asked. "You hauled me in here just cause someone accused me of spraypainting their locker?" she said, "Don't you need a little thing called proof before you go disrupting my day?" The principal shook his head. "Actually Miss Newbright," the principal said, "You need to prove you didn't do it or I can suspend you. That's my position." Monique nodded. "Okay," she said, reaching into her bag, "Here's a can of the spraypaint I use. See the label?" She pointed to it. "Does not bond with metal," she read to him. "You could have used another kind of spraypaint," he told her. "I wouldn't have," she told him, "I swear by this brand." The principal finally nodded. "Very well, Miss Newbright," he said, "You're free to go." Monique grinned. "Pleasure doing business with you, Mr Principal," she said, and walked out. She went over to Bailey. "That was a colossal waste of time," she muttered, "So what are you in here for? Going to get bitched out for skipping?"
Crazelin Rage - June 13, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
Craze strolled into the office.
"Hey."
He was swearing at his teachers. Brilliant work.
"Monique, what the hell are you doing in here? I mean... I'm confused now..."
Bailey Progue - June 13, 2007 08:14 PM (GMT)
Bailey laughed, as she saw Monique walk out of the principals office, rather ticked off that they were blaming her for something she didn't do. "So, what were they trying to pin on you?" Bailey smiled, "oh I was caught hanging out by the mall, like 45 minutes after the bell rang, so the damn pigs called up my probation officer, he came and picked me up and brought me here."
Monique Newbright - June 14, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
"Hey Craze," Monique greeted, "I was busted cause someone thinks I spraypainted their locker." She laughed. "I wish it had been me," she said, "It would have been worth the detention."
Bailey Progue - June 14, 2007 07:44 PM (GMT)
"Great, don't you hate it when they try to pin shit on you cuz your more than likely the one to do it" Bailey laughed. She noticed Craze walk in, "Sup man. Great its one big reunion", Bailey smiled. She began to lean up against the counter, she could really go for a cigarette right now. "Fuck man. I fuckin', hate addiction"
Monique Newbright - June 14, 2007 07:46 PM (GMT)
Monique laughed. "Yeah, addiction sucks," she said, "Especially nicotine addiction." She laughed again. "Of course, that's really the only thing I'm addicted to," she said, "Except perhaps adrenaline."
(OMG we're kinda running away with poor Helena's thread.)
Crazelin Rage - June 14, 2007 08:15 PM (GMT)
"Me too. It sucks."
Craze sighed. "I'm trying to quit, but it just won't stop..."
He pulled a face.
"I say no to cigs and they just don't listen. Plus, if I didn't smoke I wouldn't have saved Monique here."
Quit playing the hero.
Monique Newbright - June 14, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
Monique grinned. "Craze here saved my ass from this guy who tried to grab me at a nightclub," she explained, "He burned him with his cigarrette." She laughed.
Crazelin Rage - June 15, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
"No big deal. Jeez, Monique." Craze grinned, joking around, as per usual. "Just stopped you being raped, is all."
He grinned, moving over to Monique and hugging her. "And I didn't do too badly out of it, did I?"
Monique Newbright - June 16, 2007 04:00 AM (GMT)
Monique hugged him back. "Oh yeah, no big deal at all," she said sarcastically, "People are always saving me from being raped. It's part of my daily schedule. And no, you didn't make out too bad at all."
Crazelin Rage - June 18, 2007 08:54 PM (GMT)
"Well, Maybe I won't say."
Craze mimed zipping his lip, before kissing Monique's cheek and pulling out a cig from his pocket. "Anyone got a light?"
Rebel.
Ashley Thompson - July 17, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
Ashley walked over to the principal's office. She looked around at the her new school and sighed. "Time to play the new girl again" She thought to herself. Taking a deep breath, she hooke a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear and pushed open the door. As she walked in, she saw three other girls and a boy talking. She smiled at them and walked over to the secretary's desk. She smiled at the secretary and said: 'Hello. I'm new here, and this is my first day.' Even though she looked confident, she was really quite nervous inside. She allways was when she started a new school, even though she should be used to moving to new schools by now...
Eva Foye - July 17, 2007 10:21 PM (GMT)
Eva's full lips tinted naturally the color of rose, released a soft sigh as she extended a slender leg, inclined it, then placed it on the ground as she stepped out of her car. A simple task taking much more effort than usual as Eva had exhausted her body of it's energy, waking up early just to come to Oakland High.
She strolled into the somewhat crowded Principal's office, taking on little attention from the other staff memebers other than a few observing her outfit which just fit the dress code; her exhale as dull as the poor excuse for a light barely illuminating the room. Various students were scattered around the area, waiting to be told how to get to a class, or what was to be their punishment. A sheet of paper was grasped by a delicate hand, some document the principal needed to accept her into her new school.
Eva released it onto the desk of the secretary, roughly in the same spot her hands had been. With a heavy breath, Eva pushed away thoughts of being new, for she knew, it would cause her to think of the people she would have to face. "I'm Eva Foye. Also a new student."
