Lyss was sitting on the bleachers, like usual. Only this time she wasn't talking with Donnie, or anybody else who hates gym. In fact, she loved gym, but now she was nervous. Her stomach had gotten bigger to the point where she could rest her hands on it. She was pregnant.

It felt weird, being in gym class while she was pregnant. Hell, it felt weird being pregnant at all. The class hadn't started yet and was waiting for a familiar face.

Ryan entered the gym slowly. He hadn't been to school in a while. Ever since his little trouble, it'd felt weird to be back in school. He looked around, and who does he see on the bleachers? Alyssa Jones. The one and only. She looked different. He couldn't tell what was different until he walked closer. "Hey Alyssa... whoa. You've gotten.. umm. I have no clue how to say this nicely. Don't hold it against me, but you've gotten bigger." He smiled and sat down next to her. After all, he wasn't participating. He never did.

She was startled by the fact that her old friend Ryan plopped down beside her. It was so weird ever since she started to date Jackson, but now they have broken up, right at the worst time. She knew he would still help support her and the baby, but she didn't really want to see him again. It was too weird. One hand was on her belly and the other rubbed her forehead. "Yeah, um, Ryan..." How the hell was she gonna say this to the boy she really liked. He was everything she ever wanted, and she just left him. Now she could never forget.

"I'm...pregnant." Looking at him with big brown eyes that seemed to say 'sorry', Lyss was so confused.

He looked at her with a soft expression, and smiled. "Aww, Lyss. How far along are you? And what happened to Jackson?" He was concerned that Jackson had left her and wouldn't help. Ryan would help her. She meant alot to him and he didn't want to see her in any kind of trouble.

She was relieved to hear what he had to say about her situation. So she was like 7 months along...yeah that sounded right. Wow, she was bigger now that she thought about it. Looking down she frowned when he asked about Jackson. "His family flipped, and I told him I didn't want to be with him anymore. I don't love him Ryan." She loved Ryan... "I don't want to go through this. Jackson is still going to help me, but I don't really want to see him. It's awkward." She needed a hug.

He looked at her and put his arm around her. "Babycakes, you have nothing to worry about. I will help you through this. You don't have to see Jackson. I've been through this before I moved. My sister's best friend was pregnant and her boyfriend was kinda abusive. So, I helped her." He leaned back on the bleacher behind him, his hand still on the small of her back. He's been through three births, both of his sister's and Emily's daughter's. This shouldn't be any different. "So, do you know if it's a girl or a boy yet?

She smiled and felt warm with his arm around her. Looking into his blue eyes she couldn't help but think of how it would be to raise a family with him. It would be great.

She leaned back with him and looked at the kids playing their sports. "You know you must be the sweetest guy I have ever known." Her words just seemed to fall out of her mouth. They had been held up in her mind for a while now, but she just had to let him know. "Oh, it's a girl." A small smile tugged at her lips as she thought of having a little girl. She would be ok as long as Ryan was there. "I'm so happy you are back. Where have you been? How are you and your familiy?"

"Thanks," he said. He looked at her and then said, "Last little girl I knew was Kayliegh Marie. If I ever had a little girl I would name her Drezlin Jade. I've always liked that name." He put his free hand on her stomach. Her belly button was sticking out already. He always thought that was cute.

He looked away when she asked where he's been. "Uhh, yeah. I got in trouble. Like huge trouble. I had court, then I got sent off. But it's over now. Thank God. I didn't think anybody would have noticed that I was gone." He truely didn't. He was never that known at school. He wasn't some big, popular guy. He was just Ryan.

She let him feel her belly and thought over the name. It was cute. "I like that name. That's a deffinate possibility." She let her hand rest ontop of his and looked at him with a worried glance. "Well, I missed you a lot." She decided not to bring up whatever it was that he had done. Chances were he didn't want to talk about it. She snuggled up closer to him and let her head rest on his shoulder for a while. "I think we should go do something. Are you hungry? Pssh I am!"

He looked at her with a serious expression. "Lyss, when have you known me to not be hungry? Yeah, it was never. But we're gonna have to sneak outta class. You just want to go back to my house? My parents are back home, visiting my family and their friends. They took Kayla with them, and Rachel is at her friends house." He stood up and put his hand out to help Alyssa up.

His house was pretty damn clean for just him being there. But he wasn't sure that she wanted to come over. He wanted her to because there were somethings that he wanted to talk to her about. He wanted to actually be with her. Like just the two of them against the world. He could take care of her and her baby. And he wanted her to know that.

She laughed and grabbed his hand. Right now she wished that it was his baby she was carrying. "I'm sorry I should have known better." She winked at him then heaved herself up. "Don't worry I got this under control." Walking over to the teacher, Lyss put both hands on her stomach and made a sick looking face. "I don't feel good, sir." Being the big shot man teacher he just raised and eyebrow and shoed he away. "Go, go. Just don't stay here." She winced and looked over to Ryan. "He needs to come with me, too." "Fine whatever." She turned around and gave Ryan a smile. "Let's go."

He looked at the gym teacher and then said, "Later Coach." He knew that they wouldn't have had to sneak out of class anyway. That particular teacher liked Ryan and let him do whatever he wanted. He took Lyss's hand and walked with her as they emerged outside. He steered her towards his car.

He opened the passenger side door to his 2006 Ford Mustang GT for her. After she got in, He shut the door and walked over to his side, letting himself into the dark red car. He put his keys in the ignition and started it. He put his seatbelt on and turned down the music. Which just happened to be Jamestown Story's 'Goodbye, I'm Sorry'. "So, what do you think of my loverly car?" He smiled as he put it into gear.
