Dusty let out a great sigh of relief as she finally found the music room. She had been walking around the school for ages trying to find it. It was currently lunch time, but Dusty had already eaten. She was carrying her flute and trying to find where to sign up for band.
Yes, Dusty was band geek, but she was also a very talented piano ad flute player. She wasn't even 100% sure there was a bad at the this school but she was pretty sure she had heard rumours there was. Dusty hated been the new girl, but someone had to occupy the position!

All the rooms were empty that Dusty had passed and she was wondering if there was actually anyone here at all. Dusty sighed, this time a dissapointed sigh. It was all apparently empty, so Dusty began to head out of the music rooms...

She saw a girl enter a room she was at... Dusty? she smiled sweetly. She turned and walks towards her, her flute cast hanging in her shoulder and her pieces in her hand.

"Hey, I don't you're intersted in band? I am here for the audition are you too?" she asked in a friendly tone, her accent just like any Long Island Girls would sound.

Taylor was feeling for a round of mischief. He noticed the band rom and grabbed a guitar. "ROCK ON!" he exclaimed. He saw Dusty and smiled. "Hey Dusty! What's up? You take band?"

Dusty was about to walk off when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around quickly and saw Justine behind her.
Oh, hey! Dusty said, relieved someone else was there.
I didn't actually know there was auditions today...but I'm here now so I will go along!
Dusty smiled and sighed. Everything was going so well for her here!
You play flute too? She asked, observing the flute pieced Justine was holding.
Then Dusty heard another voice come up near them. She turned and saw Taylor. She giggled at his "Rock on" exclaimation.
Yeh, I take band. You? She said to him.

"Meh." Taylor responded. "Actually," he started saying it in a British accent and continued on, "I have heard through the grapevine that two lovely young ladies-" He gestured to both of them, "-were taking this class, so this young lad signed up." He grinned.

Dusty laughed at Taylor's antics. He was quite a charmer! Dusty had promised herself that she wouldn't get involved with too many guys, but Taylor was different then most she had met previously.
Do you actually play an instrument? Dusty teased, or are you just here for your good looks?

She smiled and answered Dusty "For new students, there are auditions..." She put her flute case on the arm chair and leaned on the chair. She was held aback when Taylor entered the room and blushed slightly.

"Hey..." she greeted Taylor too who seems to look fine today and hyped.

He smirked at Dusty's remark. "Haha. I do play the snare drum you know." He smiled and did an American Pie impression, "This one time at Band Camp...I took a few lessons." He smiled at both. "I assume that you ladies take instruments to your hearts?"

Dusty giggled again. Drums...defiantly not Dusty's forte.
Yeh, I play flute and piano. Dusty said, and I should probably get to these auditions soon. Do you know where they are? I am still so lost in this school!

She smiled at Taylor and looked at him with beaming eyes "Oh, The snare drum." She looked down and just smiled her way through the conversation. She looked at Dusty and smiled too, "I play the flute, too.. and Piano, too." she chuckled and looked down again.

She looked at her watch and answered Dusty "In about fifteen minutes the teacher will be here."

Wow, this is so awesome. Dusty thought, amazed that she was actually maintaining conversations.
She smiled at Justine. She loved meeting other piano and flute players! Just something about it made Dusty feel happy.

Are in band at the moment Justine? Dusty asked her. And thanks. She added in response to her question been answered.

Taylor saw Justine making eyes at him and made eyes back. "Really? Flute and piano? My favorites." he grinned. He leaned back in his chair. "I love a girl who can play."

Shw was shocked at Taylor's comment. She thought it was something else and slap him lightly at the shoulders "Finish your sentence... you like a girl who can play... what?" she grinned coyly.

She blushed slightly when Taylor eyed him back. It's kinda like they're sending secret messages even Justine couldn't decipher.

Dusty laughed at Taylor and Justine...maybe it was best Taylor left his sentence unfinished...
Maybe you should learn to play piano or flute too, Taylor Dusty said with a grin, you'd be surprised, some girls actually like 'band geeks.' Dusty hated using the title of band geek, but thats what most people labelled her and fellow band members. She didn't care, atleast she wasn't a try hard!!

[gotta go. our charries should meet up later. all friends now? see yas!]

"Play an instrument, of course!" he snickered slightly.

"Dusty, you're not a band geek. Don't be so stereotypical. And, you're not a band geek, you're just a person who can play an instrument fairly well." He patted her on the back reassuringly.

She looked at Taylor at how he told Dusty that people who play instruments fairly well. Aw, she just saw the Sensitive part of him.

"Well, the people call us band geek. I was always the band geek back at my school... " she stuck her tongue out in a coy sweet smile.

"Aww." he made a puppy dog face. "Poor you. Well screw them. I think you're awesome." he blushed and grinned.

She smirked and looked at him with eyebrows raised and lips curled in a coy smile "yeah, right." she said and touching her nose she answered, [b]"You're awesome, too, yourself. Awesome in making the girls feel good."[/b she teased.]

"Aww. You're sweet." and with that, Taylor gave Justine a hug. He blushed and hoped she wouldn't push him away or something.

It was an akward moment even though they were making secret flirt language all day.

She blushed profusely when he gave her a hug. Her mouth flew open and her eyes beamed in slight shock and awkwardness.

"Thank you..." she said. Okay this is really weird. But then when they pull out from each other an awkward silent fill the gap between them.

"So, um..." He laughed nervously. He hoped that someday that they would be a couple, but he knew the chances were slim. "I wonder where Dusty went." She had just mysteriously left without saying anything.

Because Justine just got lost with the moment in Taylor's embrace she never did realized that Dusty was gone. But still her flute was in the table just besides Justine's. Woah? Where is she? she wondered and fell silent once more.

She smirked nervously and bit her lower lip and answered "Uhm.. I don't know... She's like a ghost..." she joked in order to break the awkward silence that's filling in between.

"Weird..." Taylor mumbled, "hey, since our teacher basically ditched us, you wanna go to the movies or something?" he smiled and put his stuff away.

She didn't answer for a second there and was too shocked at Taylor.

"Oh.." she said YES! she wanted to say but to hide her excitement she gained her composure and loked away while saying. "Maybe, after school." she looked down and looked outside.

Oh, my! She's beginning to feel sick, too nervous!

Dusty skidded around the corner. She felt so silly as she left without explanation.
Sorry guys! She exclaimed as she stopped at Taylor and Justine, I just a message from my brother and then I ran into the Music teacher. He's ready for my audition now! Dusty said all this without a breath and quickly picked up her flute case. Here's my number- Dusty scribbled it down on a bit of paper- We should catch up again sometime. See you both later. And without another word dissapeared around the corner once more.
She just hoped either Taylor or Justine would actually give her a call as she didn't have either of their numbers.

She was happy that Dusty break in the awkward silence. She smiled. She took the paper and read it and before she turned to give her number to Dusty but she was gone. "Oh well..." she told Taylor.

She took her flute case and said, "I better go with Dusty for auditions..." one part of her wished that Taylor would come with her, but one part of her wanted him not to come. She would definitely have problems in the auditions if Taylor would come and watch her play. "So, i think i need to go so I won't be late..."

"okay." Taylor said with a disappointed sigh. Maybe he was going too fast. Maybe Justine didn't like him. Maybe he should move on to another girl. No. He wouldn't do that yet. That was just inhumane. "See you guys later." He thought for a moment first. "HEY WAIT! HERE'S MY NUMBER!" he held up two scraps of paper for each of them.

Before she disappeared she took the two papers and would give the other to Dusty. "Okay, See you around... Taylor." she nodded as a gesture of saying goodbye and walked away with a smile on her face. She just can't believe still that she was just alking to Taylor again! Oh my!

Taylor turned around with his hands in his pockets. She laughed and shook his head. He couldn't believe he was still talking to Justine. He ran down the hall and exited the school.
