OK lets begin.

will just pretend your doing this for a sig. but u can use it for anything so it doesnt matter.

1) File> New - set width to 400 px and your hieght to 150 px

2) Make sure your foreground and background colours are default so just press "D" on the keyboard. After that press alt+backspace then go Filter> Render> Clouds. Then go Filter> Render> Difference Clouds. Once you have done that go Image> Ajustments> Auto Colours. should end up with something like this :

3) Go Filter> Distort> Twirl - and set your angle value at 50. Can change this to what you think looks good but this is what i used. Once you have done that go Filter> Artistic> Plastic Wrap - set your highlight strentgh to 16, your detail to 11 and your smoothness to 8. You could probably play around with these settings as well abit. So it should look something like this :

Adding colour makes it look really cool as well to do this just go Image> Ajustments> Hue/Saturation then make sure the colourize check box is clicked and your right to go.

Now for some simple and easy text.

1) Your foreground and background colours should still be default so dont worry about them. Grad your text tool and type what ever you want, make sure your text point is fairly big. i used 60 but the font im using is small so just play around.

2) Once you have finished that create a new layer (shift+ctrl+n) and it should be above the Text layer if its not put it there. now hold (ctrl) and click on the text layer. Then go Select> Modify> Expand - i set mine to 5px. after that set your foreground colour to anything but black, i made mine white. after that press (alt+backspace) to the exspanded part.

3) Now that you have done that hold (ctrl) and click on the text layer then cut (ctrl+X). once you have done that hold (ctrl) and click on the previous layer and grab your gradient tool and set it to the one which starts off black then goes white (Black, White) then just draw a line from one side of the sig to the other make sure you go through the White outline.

4) right click on the layer in the layer palette and go bleding options -
Bevel and Boss - leave it all default except change the structure size to 0 px.
Colour Overlay - change the colour to white and change the blend mode to Hue.
Gradient Overlay - change the blend mode to Hue
Hit Ok

Thats it your Done.....
this is what i finished up with :
