Im not sure how many racers we have on here, but those that there are may be interested in my yacht clubs regatta?

Teignmouth Regatta.
Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July 2008

Full details later, but below gives an idea of planned events.

Good windward starts from Committee boat, both days at 1100 hrs.

Saturday to be a 4 - 5 hour coastal race.

Sunday to be 2 races back to back, round courses set by the Race Officer from the committee boat.

IRC fleets – and PY, depending on entry numbers.

Regatta committee trophies and also glassware to be awarded.

Moorings. It is hoped to be able to offer visitors discounted harbour moorings for the Saturday night.

Dinghy races to also run both days from same committee boat.

Social gathering on Saturday evening – may be at the Eastcliff club house or on Back beach.

Prize giving on Sunday at Eastcliff after racing. Bar to be open.

TCYC is a realy friendly club, we have a fleet of around 20 yachts, from sport boats, to true cruiser racers and expect quite a few entries from the Torbay area this year, so it should be a good event. The RC tells me Evolution 25/26's can have their own start if we get 5 or more, so we only need anouther 4!
