Title: prop or P-bracket damage from drying mooring

Hi
I am wondering if anyone has had or knows about someone who has had damage from a drying mooring. I am looking at buying a Evolution 25. it has a 1GM (9-10Hp) inboard engine. And I will be keeping it on a drying mooring, that is a bit hard due to small stones and shells in the mud. Do I hold back on the purchase and wait for an out board version? I was thinking of putting an out board bracket on the back so I could move the boat in very shallow water as not to damage the prop.

Do you have any suggestions or hints
Thanks
Jasper

I know that "Absolution" an Evolution 26 used to live on a drying mooring here on the Teign estuary and had an inboard engine fitted. The river bed here is very hard, made up of coarse sand and shell mainly and I belive she was ok, although it was before I moved down here. I know the guy who used to own her and can ask him more, but unfortunatly I probably wont see him untill the start of the racing season at the end of April.

Hi

My 1986 Evo 25 has a stub behind the prop to protect the prop and P bracket.
