Hi
Is anyone intending to do Torbay week this year, if so which class will you enter and where will you ask for a mooring?
I intend to take "Redshank" along as its just down the coast from me, but Im not sure which class to enter. I have a 2009 IRC number but with a scratch crew, possibly different on each day, it may be best to enter the white sail class.
It would be nice to assemble any Evolutions together at Torquay.

I am intending to bring Temptation down from Poole and will enter the IRC class although I will probably have a scratch crew as well. Revolution another Evo 26 may also be coming down. I normally stay in Brixham for the first 2 or 3 days then move across to Torquay for the remainder of the event.

My entry is in now, bit the bullet and went for IRC, someone has to come last!
I will be at Torquay for the duration as it is much closer by road to Teignmouth where all my different crew live.
If you are interested in bringing the boat across early, we have the TCYC regatta on the 8th - 9th August just up the coast from Torquay. I may be able to sort something out mooring wise for the time between the two if you fancy it.

I have now entered Temptation in the IRC class and Ian Wall has also entered Revolution in IRC. We will be coming down at some time during the week before the regatta and will stay at first in Brixham then come over to Torquay. I look forward to meeting you for a chat and to compare boats

I look forward to meeting you, we should be at Torquay from some time Friday afternoon. I hope to be on the visitors moorings near the events tent on the Eastern side of Torquay harbour.

Torbay week was excelent and I didnt come last in all the races! It was also nice to have three Evolution 26's rafted up in Torquay harbour on the Monday night. I bet that hasnt happend for a few years.
Maybe I can tempt a few more Evolutions to make the trip next year?
I trust that Revolution and Temptation made the trip back across Lyme Bay ok? Sorry I didnt make it back to Torquay in the final race. With the forcast for gales on the Wednesday and the prospect of hammering back up wind into a force 6, I'm aftraid the call of my mooring became too strong, as it did for most of the Teignmouth boats.
