Easilly one of the best Final Fantasys ever made. A lot of changes from the typical system, but I feel it's closer to the first nine than 10 was.

I like the fact that it's closer to IX than X. I loved FFIX so much.

I actually liked it more than IX. It sounds odd my saying that 'cause I only like 2 FF games more than IX.

FFXII comes out 23rd Feb for UK, and I've had mine preordered since June 2005 :crazy:
Can't wait to get it. I've heard there are many new and different things in it compared to the other Final Fantasys but still manages to bring out that brilliance and ranks very high in many peoples favorite ff's. [The old ps1 ffs will always be the best for me but i'm liking the looks of this very much]

Played a little of it today at Pearse's. I'll get it when I get money for it. It was pretty good. I told him to use Fran. He's just after getting Ashe in his party. He likes it now. xD

Ashe..? Meh, use Fran, Balthier and Basch. Mind you I'd take Ashe over Vaan or Penelo.

Sadly he's not that good at it, nor am I that much but it was pretty much my first try at the game with no phoenix downs and infiltrating someplace to rescue Ashe. >_>; Can't blame me for dying. But yeah, he likes it now. (Same guy who disliked it at first, that is Zidane.)

I like it. But Im biased against Vaan from what you said already to me last time we spoke, he does seem to be like Tidus from what I heard him speak. (Very Little)

Tidus wasnt that bad, but I guess people are influenced by other's views too much. But in comparison to other characters yeah, he is Whiny. I've noticed that when I went back and looked at his character in particular, he was pretty whiny. :D Shows how observant I am on my first go around I suppose.

Linoud I may not have good at the game when you were playing it in my house before but now I own the game xD.I wasnt good at it before because I wasn't use to the licence or gambits system.I know you told me to use Fran Linoud but I rather have Vahn, Basch and Ashe out in my party. The other three are just back up incase the other people die xD.I disliked the game at start because to me it was like Guild Wars all over and god I hate that game xD.After the first hour or so I tought different xD.Since then it hasn't let me down yet.

Vaan and Ashe? Ashe I can understand, but Vaan is a statistically weak homosexual Tidus-ripoff. Bring in Fran and Balthier methinks. :)

I'm not kidding. I actually read somewhere that Vaan is homosexual. And Tidus phails worse-off than many other mediocre FF heroes. He whines more than Noishe. As far as I'm concerned the only good ones are Firion, Luneth, Terra, Cloud, and Zidane. Ramza's pretty good, too. The rest are only good for a laugh, some not even that Squall.

Plus Balthier and Fran are the two best PCs you get. Basch is pretty good, too. Ashe is up there. Penelo fails about as miserably as Vaan. I'm glad they didn't do the typical FF thing and base it just around the main character and the female lead.

Bartz and Squall land on a mediocre scale, albiet low. The rest (i.e. Marche, Fighter etc. fail. Miserably.)

All the main characters in ff games are cry babys lol Cloud, Squall, Tidus there just and example lol and vahn i think has the best quicking move aswell lol .i dont like pinnelo or fran but in the acual story balthier is probaly my favorite xD And Linouid i aint seen you play many ff games but i seen your saves tho lol so i wouldnt know but what i do know is your ff7 file is awsome but your ff10 file sucks lol ya will never be as good as me at ff10 lol

Nah. Cloud has a reason to be a cry baby, he got used as an experiment and had alot of alien cells injected into him. (Jenova IS an Alien.)

Played the start of this game at Le's earlier. Vaan's brother is waaaay better than Vaan. It doesnt matter about quickening moves or whatever, a character being good is based on his own qualities, personalities and whatnot. Good moves can help, Omnislash anyone? >_>;

You've seen two of my game saves. My worst one, FF10, and possibly my best one. (FF7) But you havent seen my other FF saves. :( Like FF9, FF8 or FF6 when I had it.

Statistically Basch > Fran > Balthier > others.
Character/Story-wise Fran + Balthier > Basch + Ashe > others.
Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. Linoud knows this as well.

And before you go around bragging about that phailed attempt at a main character you might want to begin by spelling his name right. ^_^

Basch and Fran are the ones I've always used B) which is probably why I'm getting through the game at what people are called, "seriously low levels".

I only have one at the moment, Vaans. I'm going to get Fran's first one soon. :o It's just Vaan's was easier to unlock. XD

i have them all. fran's whip kick is cool too. i have like 3000 lp for everyone aswell haha.at first lp was hard to get now i cant get enough of them haha.Linoud you should worry more on getting magiks and weapons etc befor you get all the quicking moves.

I enjoyed this game. It took a bit of getting used to at first.. but in the end I beat the game and was only on level 51. xD

I liked every playable and guest character. However to me Vaan, Basch, and Ashe always seem to have the higher attack by almost 1,000 damage. So my parties were Main: Vaan, Basch, and Ashe.... Secondary: Penelo, Fran, and Balfier.

I noticed alot of you saying Fran, Balfier, and Basch were stronger etc... But thats not true.. Perhaps Basch was the strongest... but Balfier was a weakling.. and Fran was only good when it came to fliers. I think Basch had some of the better Quickenings..

The Espers were pretty useless... I only got 4 of them because I didn't bother with them because I didn't have a need for them. The only usefulness I noticed was for the Gigas Gate opening.. >_<

Hmm. I've yet to properly get into this game. Still at the Aerodrome.
Perhaps next friday or whenever I'm rested enough I'll play it.
