Title: San Francisco Bay Area - Seeking Gamers
Description: Beginners Welcome

The Furox - June 5, 2005 04:52 AM (GMT)
If you're an adult in the San Francisco Bay Area and are interested in meeting up to play either the Dragon Booster trading card game or the Inuyasha trading card game, go ahead and post a reply or send an email to me. If we can get enough people together, we can try to find a card/comic/game store that will host us and perhaps have some events. I know of a couple of likely stores, plus we could also reserve a room at a library or community center.

Beginners are welcome. I just started playing myself and both games have more strategy and depth than I first imagined. Could be fun. If anyone passing by this forum is in the area and wants to try playing, just let me know you're here.

On the remote chance there's someone else in the Bay Area lurking on this discussion board:

I'm working with one of the local game stores to build up the player base for the Dragon Booster and Inuyasha card games. The store runs demo day events periodically where people can come out and learn new games. The next demo day is Saturday July 16th from 11-5 and I'll be there myself teaching the games to anyone who comes in. It is, of course, completely free and we'll play a full game of either (or both) so you can see how the games work. So if you've ever wanted to try one of these games (or just see what I'm like in person  ), then this is a great time to do it. This store regularly runs tournaments with prizes, so it's a worthwhile place to check out. Plus there's a variety of free stuff they give away on demo days.

Where: Gator Games, 4212 Olympic Ave, San Mateo, CA 94587, 650-571-7529
When: Saturday, July 16, 11-5

Here's some info for the next Bay Area demo day event:

Where: Gator Games, 4212 Olympic Ave, San Mateo, CA 94587, 650-571-7529
When: Saturday, August 20, 11-5

I'll be there all day teaching people to play both Dragon Booster and Inuyasha. The store also has lots of free give-aways for anyone who stops in.

Also, there are a couple of tournaments coming up (all held at Gator Games):

Inuyasha: Saturday, July 30 at 11 am & Sunday, August 14th at noon
Dragon Booster: Saturday August 6 at noon

I'll be at all of these and will be teaching the games to anyone new who wants to participate.

*sigh* If only I lived in San Fransisco... I live in Missourri. <_<

You don't happen to live near Odessa or Springfield, do you? If you do, there are game stores there running Dragon Booster tournaments this Saturday as well.

Use the tournament locator on the DB TCG site to get the details. With a little work, you could probably be the Missouri state champion!

With the holidays upon us and so many people traveling, the store here won't be running any TCG events until next year. However, they'll allow me to run my own events in the store if I want. So if anyone from the San Francisco Bay Area wanders through this forum and is interested in trying either the Dragon Booster or Inuyasha TCGs, contact me and we'll organize something. New players who come to an event and try Dragon Booster get a free starter deck.
