Title: Suspension

LightningFlash - February 20, 2006 10:48 PM (GMT)
So, you do something wrong and you get suspended. Now you have two choices. You can wait out your suspension with good grace, or you can do something even more stupid.

When you've been suspended, do not then go and rejoin with a different email. If your IP or the use of an email address with the same surname doesn't give you away, then your behaviour most probably will. Especially when you post things 'on behalf of' yourself. (I do rule out relatives, btw.)

It doesn't take much to recognize you, and then you get deleted permanently, with measures taken to prevent you from joining again.

This frustrates me immensely, as I don't particularly enjoy deleting members, or even suspending them for that matter. So please, just don't.

Mari - February 20, 2006 11:02 PM (GMT)
Before anybody blames Thrakos for anything, I would like to point out that he posted for me while I had no internet. I don't know Thrakos personally and we've never met before. Just pointing that out so nobody gets mad at Thrakos for posting for me while I had no internet. ;)

And Flash, thank you for the warning about suspensions. I will try not to do anything stupid.... err, I'll try harder than I already am not to do anything stupid.

LightningFlash - February 20, 2006 11:13 PM (GMT)
I'm not going to blame Thrakos for anything at all, neither of you were suspended. If one member can help another while they're having 'net problems, then yay humanity!

Mari - February 21, 2006 12:56 AM (GMT)
I'm just making sure nobody would get in trouble. :D Yay! LF likes humanity!

LightningFlash - February 21, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
*headdesk*

And when I've deleted you the second time, don't rejoin again! How many computers/email addresses can one family have?!

Either way, it's not something I'll miss.

Mari - February 21, 2006 11:14 PM (GMT)
 Were you talking to me, or just sort of everybody?

LightningFlash - February 21, 2006 11:35 PM (GMT)
Everybody. Well, actually, a certain ex-member who with a bit of luck won't even see it. :P (They re-joined, again, I was frustrated.)

Hunter - February 22, 2006 02:55 PM (GMT)
Well,if i may ask,who was it? Maybe it was Dragon General? You know what? I'm just going to shut it and stop. :P

Skylii - February 23, 2006 04:03 AM (GMT)
So this is the justice.

Explain this to me clearer (because I'm an idiot :P and because I have a bad migrane right now :(): so if you get suspended/deleted, and try rejoining again with a different e-mail address, then that's bad, but what if it's the same e-mail address?

Also, what if the suspended/deleted person would like to regoin again and will actually abide by the rules?

Sarah Frost - February 23, 2006 04:33 AM (GMT)
(Note: some guesswork/fudging here as I'm not an admin for any invisionfree boards.)

Not possible to rejoin with the same email address, because all email addresses are unique and that one will be stored in the board's files on the suspended/deleted list. Possible to rejoin with a different address, but eg. sarah_thornton @ whatever . com and elizabeth_thornton @ whatever . com would be a dead giveaway (my family all have addresses like this at homemail); also, IP addresses. Though I think it would be possible to rejoin with an email address from a free web-based service, eg. hotmail, yahoo, provided the admin doesn't figure out your identity from your chosen registration name or email address (ie. provided you're not a complete idiot, which considering you were banned is probably not the case). Also, while I don't think it's possible for unregistered (deleted) users to send an email to her via the board, LightningFlash's profile may be read for methods of getting in touch with her to request her to change suspension/deletion (eg. via the email on her FF.Net profile).

LightningFlash - February 23, 2006 09:17 PM (GMT)
They rejoined, again, and this time stole art.

Please keep your eyes open for any suspicious behaviour, although they've hardly been subtle so far.

baby Hyve - February 23, 2006 09:32 PM (GMT)
I'm i under Suspension of being my sis (but I'am not)

LightningFlash - February 23, 2006 09:34 PM (GMT)
Suspicion? Not from me, you aren't.

baby Hyve - February 23, 2006 09:46 PM (GMT)
:) okay i thot you where talking about me that's good for no reason i was freaking out

Mari - February 23, 2006 11:37 PM (GMT)
I noticed Icesphere and Prophets are also unregistered........ May I guess that Dragon General has tried to be these people?

My guess was that Icesphere was another person, but he/she re-joined. Also I can see that Wylder and the shadow are also unregistered.......

LightningFlash - February 24, 2006 12:25 AM (GMT)
Wylder is unregistered due to a name change.

Dragon General hasn't rejoined a third time, as far as I know.

Icesphere was suspended, so created a new account, so was deleted, and has made four or five new accounts, all of which have been deleted. But they've rejoined every day since they were suspended/deleted.

Each time they rejoin, the IP and email they used are put on a special 'Block List', so eventually they'll run out of options. One simply wonders if the rest of their family is aware that their emails are being used.

Mari - February 24, 2006 03:04 AM (GMT)
Dear gosh... The Icesphere musta really broken rules!! Either that or he's DESPERATE to be on the board.

What was DragonGeneral's second user name?

Cepheus - February 24, 2006 03:15 AM (GMT)
The first had a space (Dragon General), the second had none (DragonGeneral).

You have to wounder if these people even think abouy what they are doing. I think it would be kind of obveous that it was the same person. If I was going to try and sneek back in I would try to be as different as possible!

DragonBooster500 - February 24, 2006 07:30 PM (GMT)
What did Icesphere do to get suspended? He/She seemed nice and put up some cool fanart.

I know that Dragon General is deleted and Wylder changed her name but other than that has anyone else got in trouble? Have I done anything wrong? Just wanna know. :)

Cepheus - February 24, 2006 08:38 PM (GMT)
Icesphere, Wylder, and The Power of FIRE had a thing going in the fanart forum where they kept posting extended versions of the word "aw." (ie- aaaaawwww) It got to the point of competition, and every time it was longer.

He/She was suspended *unknow reasons* and then rejoined. I think, I may be wrong.

Cepheus - February 24, 2006 11:11 PM (GMT)
Yeah, that, too. But why did prophets get deleted? Or was that another of Icespere's names?

dRagOniDe - February 24, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
I think so, we had 3 members deleted. Icespehre, the shadow and prophets.

Brightclaw - February 25, 2006 09:00 AM (GMT)
Icephere's sig was also too big. And that was probably my fault. I feel so bad now. :(

LightningFlash - February 25, 2006 09:44 AM (GMT)
It's not their sig that's causing problems, it's the behaviour.

WereDragon - February 25, 2006 10:37 AM (GMT)
Don't you hate it when people can't behave properly? We come here in our own lesiure time to relax, post a few answers or opinons and suddenly you being attacked by an unruly member. Can't they steam off some where else? As for art theft well thats just horrid. Some of our artists put a lot of effort into their pieces when it gets stolen, changed, reproduced and claimed as someone elses. This doesn't only destory the original artists' reputation, they don't get the credit for the art. The people who do this deserve to be thrown out or suspended. I know this because my hand drawn art has been stolen and traced over and people thought I was the one who copied.

I for one know how much work can be put into a piece. I draw stuff at home that sometimes can take a month to finish. And my designed dragons.... Oh man, those things take FOREVER to finish.

And when I post an 'aaaaaaaaaawwww.' I usually say something else with it... <_< Rotten rule breakers....

Iam so sorry for being one DUMB person for doing all those AWWWWW post  and i'am soo glad that I was not deleted :) thanks lightningflash for having mercy on my bad Behaviour

thanks lightningflash for having mersy on my bad behavyer *Ithink that's how it's spelled  )

"Behaviour". And "mercy". :) If you have Microsoft Word, copy and paste your posts and run 'em through there, that usually helps. If not, there's gotta be some spellchecker around Google. I wish Invisionfree boards would have spellcheckers, like Proboards.

Wylder - February 27, 2006 12:08 AM (GMT)
sorry i'am not the best speller and i do not have them

Cepheus - February 27, 2006 12:17 AM (GMT)
There's always Spellcheck.net. Just type/paste what you want in there, and it can check your spelling. I don't know Corel Word Perfect can check grammar and spelling, too, maybe you have that?

Wylder - February 27, 2006 12:21 AM (GMT)
nope i have nothing to help with my spelling

Cepheus - February 27, 2006 01:30 AM (GMT)
Well, Spellcheck ought to help, if not, Grammar Station checks spelling, grammar, and might even translate, you just need to sign up.

SheWulph - February 27, 2006 04:12 PM (GMT)
If you want to hear stories about poeple getting suspended or band from forums ask me, I am also a member/moderator on my univesity's anime forum, we are about 120 members and we have band 2 and 3 other is pending verdict. 1 of the pending is because he was sexist against the female members (very long story).
They must learn to be nice to other poeple.

Oh, somebody by the name of 'secret' has been deleted. I am to assume that somebody previously deleted tried to re-sign up? <_<

LightningFlash - March 2, 2006 01:05 AM (GMT)
Yup.

Cepheus - March 2, 2006 01:29 AM (GMT)
 You know, if that was Icesphere, how many different email adresses do they have?
