Just a heads up to let everyone know that the board will be one year old on the 29th of March this year.

Any ideas for celebrations?

Maybe some sort of competition, with some sort of prize?

Lighning Flash, Any chance you will post this date on the Calender? I know if some people don't have time for the board they do check the Calender.

I actually don't have a clue how to edit the calander. :S I keep looking, but I've never found out how.

I second that motion. Perhaps we could make a banner that says something along the lines of 'First Place at the annual Birthday Bash Art contest' or something. :D I for one am willing to make the banner if we decide on this. I'll add whatever I'm told to. :D

Yeah! Maybe it could have a birthday cake and party hats! ('Cause it's the board's b-day! :P )

Or some of the crews giving the people a cake! (Wulph must be included.)

An art competition is probably not the way to go, as not all members draw. Good idea though. :)

There, there. I can't draw dragons worth my weight in dirt. I can only draw humans and edit on the computer. You take screenshots; I can't. Wish I could, but I'd have, like, over a thousand pictures per episode! :lol:

I only can draw in my notebook, that I do not show to him anybody, but in computers I am an idio.. you now.

That sounds like a good idea! And if any of us made anything, we can attach it ONLY the web address, since all the pictures would get annoying, and then we could send it on! :D :P ^_^

Chain mail? That gets really annoying to read "Send this to five people and you'll have good luck the rest of the day," so I don't think I'd honestly take part.

A topic would probably be better, the PM thing could get a little out of hand and spam-ish.

There'd be no way of knowing who had and hadn't recieved the PM, so some members would recieve it 50 times, while others may not recieve it at all.

There'd have to be a point for a topic, as I'm fairly sure the Board itself won't know you're wishing it happy birthday. :P

*shrug* Perhaps we're also wishing YOU a happy one-year of adm-ing us all. :D

How about an all-round, anything you can come up with comp? You can submit fan art, fan fic, poetry . . . anything that you can relate to both Dragon Booster and the Message Board. Then all the entries can be put to a poll, and board Members vote for the winner?

Well, we're running out of time to make a decision, as people need time to prepare.

I'm inclined to agree with Kay Yasha's idea, perhaps with an art comp, a fic comp, and a misc. comp. Each section could have it's own deciding poll, with the three winning entries then put to a poll of their own. I won't be entering and so am happy to make prize and participation banners.

I'd suggest we sort of do a banner that's up thet day instead of the board's usual banner, which says HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY with every charachter cheering, and this cake with a candle and Beu blowing on it or something

if it was just an art comp. people might not participate ^_^

I like the idea of everybody just submitting SOMETHING to a single thread. If we must have a competition, then perhaps we could have catagories that the somethings could be submitted to, and then just give a tiny banner to the winner of each catagory. Me, I like the 'Just-submit-something-to-wish-the-bord-Happy-Birthda-' idea. :D

It's not necessarily too late. While it's probably too late to get something organized by March 28th, I think it's the spirit that counts rather than the specific date.

I'd still be up for participating in something to commemorate the one year anniversary if others are as well. For me, whatever we decide to do can happen anytime within a few weeks of the actual date and it would still count. :)
