I was in a big rush, so I rushed a quick little 400+ word fic with some Artha/Kitt in it. (There is no kissing, no "OMG I love/like you!"'s; in fact, this fic is rather G-rated on the "romance").

Okay, er, enjoy, I might write a bit more double-drabbles (or in this case, quadruple-drabbles :P) even after V-day...

Slow Down and Be Mine!

Summary: Takes place before Paynn Rising. February 14th is just a fine day for a street race, isn't it? One shot, A/K.

"Slow down, Kitt!"

The blue-haired girl rolled her eyes as rookie racer Artha Penn and Beau approached Wyldfyr's side. "Oh, please, like I'm gonna do that!" she yelled back, shifting her eyes quickly back on the track. "For your information, Artha, this is a race!"

"Yeah, I know this is a race!" Artha retorted, and quickly ducking as a green ramming gear attack ball flew at his head. He adjusted his helmet and turned back to her. "But I need to tell you something!"

Kitt saw a male rider and his dragon catch up to her other side, and she pulled out a mag-staff. "Can't it wait?" she cried, quickly smacking the rider off, causing his dragon to slow down and mag him back on. "Unless Dragon City is in trouble or somebody's dying, I'm not stopping!"

She pressed a button on her saddle and pressed a second button on her grips. A burst of flame shot out from her red thrusting gear as she and Wyldfyr sped up, passing Artha.

She gritted her teeth as Beau rammed into Wyldfyr, nearly causing them to fall off the track. "Look, can I just get this over with, while there's nobody watching?" Artha asked, catching up to her.

"Artha, what do you mean nobody's watching? Everybody is watching us race!"

"I have a plan so that nobody sees us."

"Plan? What plan? Just what in the Magna Draconis are you talking about?" Kitt wondered, staring at him in bewilderment.

Artha didn't reply as he started digging his hand inside his pocket. Kitt groaned and shook her head, speeding up. The finish line was just ahead; now, if she could make it before the stable boy here did...

When Artha caught up yet again, he tapped her shoulder. "What?" Kitt growled, rather irritated now.

He thrust something into her hand, and when Kitt looked down, a piece of pink paper sloppily cut up into what seemed to resemble a heart was in it. "Happy Valentine's Day, Kitt!" Artha called, shooting her a sheepish grin as he sped off towards the finish line.

"Your timing sucks, stable boy!" Kitt bellowed, trying to force a smile not to pull at her lips as she found herself finishing in second place.

I liked this. It has the potential to turn into a full sized story. It is very good for a rush job, I would love to see more. B)
