Title: Dragon Booster Blitz Begins In The Us
Description: Let's Hope it Takes Off

The Furox - February 3, 2006 10:08 PM (GMT)
Boy, they are really making a big push to promote the show here right now. This month is the Happy Meal promotion at McDonald's and the DVD release is next week (and I got the confirmation that mine shipped, should have it in a couple of days). Plus over the next 10 days, Dragon Booster will air a whooping 25 times. That's more showings than we've ever had in such a short period of time. See the Re-Run Schedule on dragon-city.org for the details.

In addition, both Toon Disney and ABC Family Channel will have mini-marathons on Sunday, Feb. 12th. They're running the last four episodes in sequence back-to-back followed by the US premiere of "The Return of Drakkus, Part 2".

I'm still not sure when the action figures will come out, but hopefully they won't wait too much longer. Though I imagine they'll wait until the Happy Meal promotion ends, so maybe spring time if we're lucky.

Let's hope all this generates lots of interest in the show so they'll make a 4th season and more!

Kereea - February 5, 2006 11:33 AM (GMT)
If you are in the U.S, we have the McDonalds toys.

Brightclaw - February 5, 2006 11:53 AM (GMT)
No I'm in the UK.

Kereea - February 5, 2006 12:45 PM (GMT)
Oh. well, no offense, but last time I was there, the McDonald's was about 3 or 4 years behind the U.S. in toys.

I think it's because they feel the US is a bigger market, so they want to tap that one first. Dragon-city.org, for example, gets roughly 4 times more traffic from the US than from Canada, though of course that could be for other reasons (like more US fans happen to have Internet access).

Plus I'm pretty sure McDonald's is far more widespread and popular here than anywhere else. So I'm sure that factors in as well since they can reach more people with a promotion here.

Personally, I don't like McDonald's. Haven't eaten at one in eons. (I very rarely eat fast food at all, actually.) Which is why I bought the toys off ebay instead just going to McDonald's.

SilverDragon - February 9, 2006 10:17 AM (GMT)
The MacDonalds promo currently is...Animal Planet?! What the heck?!

It's just a recycle of their older plush animals with stretchy limbs things from a while back, except in realistic colors.

WAAAHHHH!!!!!

What next? (silently hopes)

I like their food (milkshakes, chicken nuggets and chips especially-and ACTUAL chicken, not recycled fat mixed with manure like you Yanks get) but I despise the way they neatly divide up boys and girls and hand out toys according to dated stereotypes.

On this first point you got it dead one. How ever the food is not that bad here in Canada Thank goodness.

On the second point I seen that last time I took my sister there. I made then witch it becuase she wanted the boys toy for the last one. This makes me angry.

WARNING! OFF TOPIC SENTANCE AHEAD!

Whoo hoo! This is my 200th post!!!

*Ahem* Anyways. 1st, i still think Macdonalds food is well, crappy. So much fat. *shudders* So far I've got all of the Dragon Booster Toy things except Spark and Ferno, and Wulph and Hyvve. Have any of you seen Artha and Beau? Artha's like on some kind of a magnet stream thing,it's so weird! And they couldn't manufacture those toys to look a little less bulky? It's like 1 toy is just one melted glob of colored plastic. :P

Yeah! Artha's mag-jumping! I thought that was clever. Whoever designed the toys was at least thinking about the show a little, which is more than I would have expected for Happy Meal toys.

Cyrano I think is the strange one: his neck extends? That doesn't fit the show. :P

Well, they are free. :) At least they made them a decent size. Some of the Happy Meal toys I've seen in the past were just tiny little things. For the price, I think they're kind of cute. :D

Brightclaw - February 9, 2006 06:30 PM (GMT)
all you people are lucky getting the Mcdonald's toys. (espcially propheci!) I envy you!!

Well it's supposed to be Level 4 Green Ramming Gear. Cyrano's neck extends to kind of 'hit' the foe.:P But i still agree with you Furox. But if you go on here, click on Dragon Booster, let it load, and then you get a little video kind of thing showing all of the Dragon Booster toys. :) There's a fast-forward button, or you can just watch the 'show' and wait until Parm and Cyrano come on. If you look closly, you'll see the 4 on the side of Cyrano's head. If the link doesn't work, sorry. It's my first time making a link. So if it doesn't work, just go to www.happymeal.com

In "Chromatic Dragon," Brutaris extends his neck to lift Artha off the ground. Maybe it's like holding your neck in to protect it from the impact of bashing?

UUH! You guys got RoDII and Paynn Rising, while we're still waiting!! AAand, I do believe that you had The Mechanist, When Darkness Falls, Still Waters Freeze... yeah, most of season 2 before the US did. :D

Besides, the US is REALLY into McDonalds... We have, like four, in my town, which only has a population of 30,000!!! Yeah, sad, huh?

No, I ain't mad, I'm just being obnoxious!
