Title: Anime North

Jouroo - January 12, 2006 01:58 AM (GMT)
Okay, so I was doing a google search of dragon booster (I do them regularly... stop looking at me!), and I found a site for something called Anime North. Now, I think I've heard about this once or twice, so I looked at it, and it seemed pretty interesting.
This year, some of the guests to this convention are going to be Dragon Booster-y people, and I noticed that it is in Toronto, which is most definately not that far away from me (My 9 y/o brother has hockey tournaments there all the time.) So, I was wondering, as I seem to get such good advice from the peeps around here :D, do any of you know what these things are like? I've never been to a con of any kind, and I'm a bit wary of an anime con especially. Would this be the kind of thing I could go to with a friend or two and a parent? Would it be worth a few hours drive for maybe a day or two? Feedback greatly appreciated :)

I went to Animania 2005 in Sydney, and I thought it was great. Usually it feels like I'm talking in code with other people, but everyone understood what I was saying!

If I were closer to Toronto, I'd go for sure. I've been to a number of cons and I've had fun at them. The only way to find out if you like this sort of thing is to go to one and try it. :) If you've got some friends and a parent with you, then I think you'll be fine.
