Does anyone have any recommendations on how to build around Cyrano?

One thing about crew cards: the team symbols have to match your dragon in order to use them. Cyrano is actually misprinted. Cyrano is obviously part of the Penn Racing team, but they printed his card with a Grip of the Dragon symbol instead. This is listed in the errata sheet for the game and so Cyrano is treated as if his card was printed with the Penn Racing symbol.

So that means you can't use Shurykyn and Sparkk with Cyrano. There is one exception though: if you have the "Down City Council" maneuver and play it, this lets you recruit crew from other teams. So unless you have that card in your deck, then Shurykyn and Sparkk shouldn't be in your dragon deck since you can't use them.

Connor is good depending on what strategy you want to use. Lance is very good to have. Lance's effect does a good job at slowing down your opponent during the early portion of the game. Try to get his card. Artha is good as well if you're going to use the "Release the Dragon" event.

ARES gear isn't that useful in my opinion. Battle Armor is very good in combination with Cyrano. It basically means your opponent can't permanently damage any of your gear. Light Blue Stun gear is good. I use it a lot and it really irritates your opponent. :) Note though that the color boxes on it don't include green. That means you have to first recruit Connor and use him to add another color to your dragon before you can mag it.

I'm not sure the Black Mind Cloud Grenade would be that useful in practice. It's kind of hard to tell when to use it, especially since you can only use the effect once. Maybe near the end game. The Black Mind Pod on the other hand, could be really useful. I'd use that at the start of the first battle each turn.

The Green Anti-Mag Grenade is a tough one to use since it affects you as well. I tend to shy away from the card effects that impede me.

And since your playing a green dragon, you'll want to get 4 copies of the "You Can't Beat Me" maneuver in your race deck. It's a rare but powerful card that only works with a green dragon.

Also, every single deck you build should have 4 copies of "Ancient Might" in it.

I think that will get you started. ;)

I haven't tried using "Down City Council" to recruit from other teams yet, so I'm not sure how hard it is to pull off. The difficulty is you're limited to no more than 4 copies of any particular card in your race deck. So with a 60 card deck, that means there's only a 1 in 15 chance of drawing the card (if you've got four copies in your deck). That means on average, you won't draw the card until turn 4 or 5 which is kind of late in the game. If you were running a purple dragon, you could increase the odds by putting 4 copies of "Immense Power" in your deck.

Another good card to have in your deck is 4 copies of "Nothing Stands in My Way". It's a rare card, but if you can win the first battle with the card, you can really toast your opponent with it. :D
