Alright well for some reason when i go into my controls to change my avatar I choose my new avatar that I want, then click update avatar but it's always my original avatar picture but sometimes the size changes.

If anyone could help me to fix this problem it would be very much appreciated.

There are several reasons why it might not be working. First, try hitting your browser's reload button after you update your avatar. Your browser might be caching the old image.

If that doesn't fix it, then are you uploading an avatar or specifying a URL?

I got it set now, I'm not sure if it was my browser or what cause i just ended up starting a photobucket account and using the url from there.

If you're trying to get a pic from a photobucket, look beneath the picture you want. There should be text boxes with titles to the left. The titles should say URL, Tag, and Img. Take the URL from the image and paste it to the place in your avatar settings that says "Enter a URL..." Or right click on the desired image, click save as, and upload it with the button that says "Browse."
