Title: Dragon Booster Ds Game
Description: Anyone?
SilverDragon - December 24, 2005 09:40 AM (GMT)
I found a review of the Dragon Booster game on IGN, and it got 2.5.
Out of 10.
That equals Terrible.
Here is the reviewI'm still going to be getting it anyways.
ShadowCat - December 24, 2005 10:27 AM (GMT)
I won't be getting it because I don't think I'll be able to see it well enough to play it.
Sparx - December 24, 2005 10:31 AM (GMT)
Does anyone know if it's out in Australia yet?
ShadowCat - December 24, 2005 10:31 AM (GMT)
Airroh - December 24, 2005 03:58 PM (GMT)
It rated that terrible, huh? What's wrong with it? I need at least five quirks to declare it dump worthy in my book. I was really considering getting it, but I want to know what's bad about it before I decide not to.
Goddesstears - December 26, 2005 03:39 AM (GMT)
If I had a DS I'd probably still get it. I heard that it might be on PS2 though so I'll wait till then. If they wanna make a good racing game though they should take a page from Naughty Dog's book when they made Jak X: Combat Racing. That's got to be the best racing/combat game I've ever played.

The problem is that if the game is poor and doesn't sell well on the DS, then that pretty much cuts off any chance of the game being ported to other game platforms. It's always such a pity when they don't do a good game design since it kills the chances for a better game from ever coming out. Though, a used Nintendo DS can be had for under US$100 now.
dRagOniDe - December 26, 2005 06:18 AM (GMT)
2.5 out of 10??? OMG that is so sad to hear. I was thinking that this game was going to be better. Perhaps the rate the IGN guys gave was mainly because this show isn's very popular yet.
WereDragon - December 26, 2005 07:26 AM (GMT)
Hmm...I have read that before and I thought "He does have a point there." Even though I have never played it. It has totally turned me off playing it.
Sparx - December 27, 2005 02:20 AM (GMT)
He might have a point about the controls, but come on, there's more than five of us here, isn't there?

Definatly. More than five different people have replied in this thread!
If the game loses intrest for me, I'll get a DS when Pokemo Diamond/Pearl comes out.
WereDragon - December 27, 2005 11:26 PM (GMT)
I've still got the original playstation. My family bought it er...6 years ago? It still works but the only problem is that I can't get games for it anymore. Which is a bummer. I'm just waiting for it to die so we can get a new one. But it won't be doing that anytime soon.
Sparx - December 28, 2005 12:06 AM (GMT)
I've still got a Nintendo 64 and it's so hard to find games for it as well!
Daigerus - December 28, 2005 01:54 AM (GMT)
Well, I hope to get that game, since I'd like to use Fracshun and beat all the other experienced dragons with a youngster. :D
Goddesstears - December 28, 2005 03:47 AM (GMT)
It's kinda sad though that this is the only game I would want for DS. I'm not that interested in any of the other games. I'm not even interested in the PSP either...except to get that Daxter game that will be coming out soon so I can unlock more characters on Jak X.
If they really wanted to do a good job on the Dragon Booster game, they shouldn't have used Konami to make it. The most successful ones are Sqauresoft, Edios, and Naughty Dog. They should have let one of them work on it...they would have done a much better job on it.

I'm hopping that they make a Dragon Booster Game in the future that could run on the Xbox or Xbox 360.
I think the graphics would be Drac :P

Oh, yes, it would look good on an Xbox or an Xbox 360! :)
And if they did put it on that and not a PS2 I would have to save up a buncha money just so I could buy a Xbox in the first place

Perhaps also in the Gamecube, but the graphics wouldn't be as drac as the Xbox's

Mind you, the Cube' does more of the cartoony' graphics, the x-box/360 does the more photo-realistic stuff. But yeah, the 360 woould be really drac! :) *gasps* Online play . :D :D :D :D :D ok that would make my day!!!! :P and have a "create your own dragon" feature and like chose your dragons parents and stuff. *day dreams*

eeeeeeeerrrrrggg.....I don't know about Square Enix/Soft they do the RPG thing. Naughty Dog, ok THAT would be really, drac!!!! ^_^
Goddesstears - December 29, 2005 04:55 AM (GMT)
Squaresoft has made racing games...the only one I can think of at the moment is Chocobo racing with some Final Fantasy characters in it. I only played a demo of it though.
But yes, Naughty Dog diffenatly! Jak X is sooo addicting! And its so cool because not only can you do the story mode, but you can also do exhibition races and play as the many characters, customize your cars the way you want them and all sorts of stuff. If they made the DB game I could only imagine the good things they could do to it.
Another good choice would be the makers of the Sly Cooper games. I'm not sure how good they'd do on the whole racing thing, but the animation looks close to the same.
SilverDragon - December 30, 2005 11:58 PM (GMT)
A DB game like one of those MMORPG things would be a good thing. Unless it has a fee.
Skylii - January 8, 2006 07:26 AM (GMT)
Heck, as my mom says, "You gotta see it/do it/watch it/etc to find out yourself." So by all means, I'm not gonna let one review stop me. So all we have to do is get it, either buy it, trade for it, order it, borrow it, rent it, steal it...okay, maybe not the last one, but your personal opinion is what truly matters.
Me, well, so what? It's Dragon Booster. And speaking of which *grabs shovel and marches over to reviewer for the "all five of you" little comment*
Brightclaw - January 12, 2006 01:44 PM (GMT)
I'm going to america soon so i will be buying a DS and DB game while I'm there. Ive been saving up. :P
The Power of FIRE - January 14, 2006 05:50 AM (GMT)
who knows if ill get it or not
Brightclaw - January 20, 2006 10:21 PM (GMT)
Square enix/soft makes really drac games. It would be great if they made a dragon booster game. Maybe it will come out on Ps2 that would be sooooooooooooo drac! *does artha impression in 'artha the drac'* lol

I complettely agree, Skylii. I saw the rating and read the review, then got the game for xmas anyway and it was just fine. Personally, I think its a really drac game!
Brightclaw - February 16, 2006 01:58 PM (GMT)
What!!! You got the game for christmas? Lucky! Do you think that it will be around when I go to Disney World in march?

The game will certainly be available, but I don't know how easy it will be to find it in stores. I kind of like it myself, but it's not exactly a top 10 game which means it may be a little difficult to find a store that stocks it. (I bought my copy off ebay, so I haven't looked around the stores much.) You may have to ask your parents to go online and order it for you.
SilverDragon - July 16, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
I found the game in a games shop in Avignon (pretty weird place to find it). It's really addictive!
So far, I've unlocked Moordryd, Phistus, Pyrrah, and Khatah. PLEASE tell me there are more racers than them and the Penn Team!
I'm also curious about the passwords. I haven't gotten any yet. I think it may have something to do with those boxes on the track, but I'm unsure how to open the damn things.
Deathshallcome - July 17, 2007 03:21 PM (GMT)
Well SilverDragon I own the game as well and I know a few passwords myself like 9,13,6,5,5,12 that give you unlimited draconium bar. Also I have the shadow booster and the dragon booster as playable riders. The only way to activate the passwords are simple the top colours are the uneven numbers the bottom colours are the even numbers like the dragon eye crew sympol is 1 beside it is 3 and so on the same goes with the penn crew sympol is 2 besude it is 4 and so on the codes are simple to figure out. if you want more codes go to www.gamefaqs.com and search for the codes. The way to get into the passwords are simple very simple when you go into the main menu you will see password in a small box coloured red at the left bottom corner. Those boxs I haven't even opened yet and I have no idea what is in it maybe it helps your draconium bar meter go up......
demonicangel53 - July 17, 2007 04:44 PM (GMT)
I have this game myself and personally, I like it. I loose interest in games quite quickly but this game has had me going back for months now.
The only bad thing about it is the controls, but I can live with that and with some practice, you get to know where to tap the stylus and you get better with experience, which is not such a bad thing.
Its a great game. If you go on google and type in dragon booster DS cheats (or hints or help) then you can find game websites that have all the passwords. Not sure if they work if you havent unlocked them as I havent used them myself yet, but they probably work like any other game passwords.
Deathshallcome - July 17, 2007 04:45 PM (GMT)
They do I have used them.
demonicangel53 - July 17, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
oh and deathshallcome, thanks for pointing out that the top boxes are odd numbers and the bottom are even numbers. on the websites I have seen that have the passwords they dont say that they go top to bottom, not left-right (if you get my meaning). Otherwise I'd probably be there for months trying to figure out those passwords.
Deathshallcome - July 17, 2007 05:29 PM (GMT)
You're welcome I had to search high and low to find out what they were.
SilverDragon - July 30, 2007 06:45 AM (GMT)
They aren't working for me. :( Could someone translate the codes into the appropriate symbols?
EDIT:
Got them working. It's actually the top who are even and the bottom who are odd.
Deathshallcome - August 28, 2007 05:56 PM (GMT)
wha? thats very strange...... maybe because its a different game... thats very odd cuz on mine its top uneven and the bottom is the even numbers.... I got the game on right now... and used the passwords like I usually do....
Dragon Fanatic - August 28, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I have all the passwords too. but this is the big accomplish of my games...
I have defeated Shadow Booster and Dragon Booster a lot of times!!!!
The key: *spoiler* Use red dragons or Moordryd/Shadow Booster
Deathshallcome - August 28, 2007 06:04 PM (GMT)
:D Yep I know but have you beaten Prophicy on the Dragon-War mode yet?
