Areal_Ravendark - March 29, 2005 05:49 AM (GMT)
Anybody up for a Dragon Booster rping section?
LightningFlash - March 29, 2005 05:53 AM (GMT)
If you guys want one, I'll stick it up, but HOW would you RP a race?
Areal_Ravendark - March 29, 2005 05:55 AM (GMT)
Um...
Maybe when the video game comes out we can play that then record what we came :P
...
Yeah that was a stupid idea
LightningFlash - March 29, 2005 05:57 AM (GMT)
No it wasn't!! I'm sure you can RP scenarios, and . . . stuff . . . . :)
Areal_Ravendark - March 29, 2005 06:00 AM (GMT)
Maybe you can roll dice which decides who wins races...or something
LightningFlash - March 29, 2005 06:02 AM (GMT)
That would be a bit hard for, um, people scattered all over the country/globe to pull off, don't you think?
But! It could stil work, keep trying. :D
Knights_Honour - March 31, 2005 03:28 AM (GMT)
We could use the Race game on the website E-mail vs E-mail
hyperpsychomaniac - April 1, 2005 07:10 AM (GMT)
Are they making a video game?
Areal_Ravendark - April 1, 2005 08:19 AM (GMT)
Yup, I read about it on some site I found while searching for screenshots, I can't remember the link though.

Yes, for the Nintendo DS. I read somewhere it might come out on PS2 as well later on.
Click here to go to a web article about it. It's scheduled to come out in the fall.
hyperpsychomaniac - April 1, 2005 08:49 AM (GMT)
Sweet! I'm buying that! :D Well if it comes on on PS2... I'm guessing you'll get to race and stuff in it?
LightningFlash - April 2, 2005 02:40 AM (GMT)
That's what I've read. There seem to be a lot of screen shots on the 'net.
Knights_Honour - April 2, 2005 08:13 AM (GMT)
ShadowCat - April 2, 2005 08:19 AM (GMT)
I haven't played the race game before, but it sounds like a good idea.
hyperpsychomaniac - April 2, 2005 01:48 PM (GMT)
I played that, it seems pretty addictive ('cept that I had to get off the computer after my first race <_< ), but I haven't checked out the email vs. thing.
LightningFlash - April 3, 2005 12:25 AM (GMT)
I've completely no experience with games, and gave up my attempt at the dragonbooster.com game half way through setting up.
Knights_Honour - April 3, 2005 05:18 AM (GMT)
ShadowCat - April 3, 2005 05:47 AM (GMT)
I just played the game! It's cool.
Knights_Honour - April 3, 2005 06:29 AM (GMT)
A good way to have a comp, I'll look into the E-mail vs

How are you ever going to compete in the Comp(if we have it) if you don't load it up completely
Sarah Frost - April 4, 2005 11:28 AM (GMT)
As for me, I DON'T want to bother playing that game. It's not the sort of game that appeals to me; I prefer round robin RPs or more arcade-style. So count me out too.
Natalilly - April 5, 2005 02:11 PM (GMT)
You could do it the same way i did Quidditch matches on my Harry potter RP (I owned a huge RP board, Two Professors. NEVER.AGAIN.)
Don't.
Don't have them. They won't be very interesting to RP anyway, and you wil get the WORST two types or RPers to have in them- Powerplayers, and invincibles. Powerplayers will move everyone elses dragons and positions, and invincibles will go to ANY length to proove THEIR dragon is fastest. They'll have gears up their sleeves and forcefeilds and extra super hyper boost and wings and just plain moronic things like that.
i know the races are a big part of the toon, and the main part of the NES game.but really character interaction is more fun, training, sparring, fights, arguments, mischief, sabotage...
LightningFlash - April 6, 2005 12:08 AM (GMT)
Yup! :D
And racing must get boring when you're doing it via a keyboard.
Knights_Honour - April 6, 2005 12:42 AM (GMT)
Okay okay.. so scratch the game
Natalilly - April 6, 2005 07:24 AM (GMT)
Question, would we be using our own invented characters, or will there be a punch up for who gets to be Moordryd? *laughs*
ShadowCat - April 6, 2005 07:26 AM (GMT)
I was wondering about that as well.
LightningFlash - April 6, 2005 09:21 AM (GMT)
Blood would fly either way, as the OCs would probably become Sues.
(Moordryd is mine, MINE, I tell you! :P )
Natalilly - April 6, 2005 12:44 PM (GMT)
I have experiance.... I've played both Lucius and Draco Malfoy... AND Snape... and Commander Khashoggi from We Will Rock you.. *laughs*
Actually I'm adaptable, I can play just about anything, but i DO have priorities and preferances.
You'll get Sue's no matter what- Canon charras get horribly warped and twisted- at least you can filter out sues. if they have in their decription
"I'm Amathest from Sun City and I ride moonflowa the pink and gold and silver dragon with beautiful shimmery wings and she's a crystal boned dragon which is mre powerful then a gold boned dragon"
Block them immediately...
hyperpsychomaniac - April 6, 2005 12:57 PM (GMT)
Lol! Yes, please do.
Calling dibs on Parmon due to my technobabble abilties!!! :D
Natalilly - April 6, 2005 11:11 PM (GMT)
Moordryd, Kitt, Phyrra, Word- in that order. ;)
Sarah Frost - April 7, 2005 02:32 AM (GMT)
Plot-Relevant OCs, Word, Artha, Pyrrah--in that order.
LightningFlash - April 7, 2005 03:16 AM (GMT)
Moordryd, Kitt, bearable OCs.
Natalilly - April 7, 2005 08:26 AM (GMT)
OC's are pretty much your own creation, so if you can't make them bareable, that's your problem... :P
On Two Professors, most of us had an OC and a cannon charra... Keeping track of the preferance list.
LightningFlash: Moordryd, Kitt
Sarah Frost: Word, Artha, Pyrrah
Natalilly: Moordryd, Cain, Kitt, Pyrra, Word
hyperpsychomaniac: Parm, Cain
hyperpsychomaniac - April 7, 2005 10:31 AM (GMT)
Hehe! That makes me look possesive! Stick Cain for second choice for me, I love sarcasm.
Natalilly - April 8, 2005 01:32 AM (GMT)
i think you're pretty much set with Parm ;)
And I also forgot about Cain *looks at list* My, i am gettign a bit ambitious...
LightningFlash - April 8, 2005 01:39 AM (GMT)
Well, I just made a RP section, although it doesn't seem to be visible yet.
Just let me set up the rules 'n stuff, okay?
Natalilly - April 8, 2005 02:10 AM (GMT)
Awesome! Looks like the canon characters are pretty set too, 'cept we might have to discuss the Moordryd issue *chuckles ;)*
