Title: Stop Dolphin Slaughter!
Description: Save the Japan Dolphins!

BlueBooster - October 13, 2009 12:42 PM (GMT)
They showed this on bbc 1, These Japanese people take dolpins from the wild, tame them then they breed them like sheep before slaughtering them for their meat.

I saw a film about this on another tv programme and I cried, they had managed to hide cameras in the cove & the scenes I saw were horrific, the dolpins were being stabbed to death and they were screaming.

check out the 'save the japan dolphins website & show your support.

http://www.savejapandolphins.org/

they gave guidelines for everyone to follow:

1 Get the word out : Help us get the word out in Japan, and pressure our leaders to take action. Send a letter to President Obama, Vice President Biden and the Japanese Ambassador to the US. Your message will be displayed on social networks, web sites and blogs in Japan, along with information from the The Cove.

2 Make a pledge: don't go to dolphin shows.Don't pay to see or swim with dolphins in captivity.

3 Donate now.Help our campaign to stop the killing of dolphins in Japan, and the sale of captured dolphins around the world.Show your support.

4 Go see The Cove. The secret is out. Spread the word. The more people who see the new documentary The Cove, the greater the pressure around the world to end the killing of dolphins and whales.

5 WAZA has the power to stop the slaughter in Taiji.Pressure them to take action now.

Thanks for jogging my memory. I had totally forgotten about this senseless killing. I have signed the petition.

The main thing you have to watch if you donate, they will keep on pestering you for more.

Plus if you become a member of one of the societies against this sort of thing, they will also send you raffle tickets, letters/leaflets, and more that you have to keep up with by selling or handing them out.
This isn't just a thing you send off a few ££$$ and thats it, it becomes a commitment that you have to keep too.

And yes, i speak from experience from when i was a member of the Whale and Dolphin Society (many years ago) where you also adopt a Orca or Dolphin too.

They was also against all of this and when i had to leave them, they was currently getting a big campain against the Japanese then.

FYI, i had to leave them as i couldn't keep to the commitments they was asking so rather than waste their money, i had to leave

I'm not saying this is all a bad thing (i joined in the first place) but please bare this in mind when donating or becomming a member.

As a 'guest', I read the message from Blue Booster, and on the website, I began to tell my immediate family to write a message. I immediately donated, and it is to become monthly.

I have been a member of several societies, and many of my family members have these leaflets. We still have those leaflets.
