I can clearly see the effort you put in your drawing. Nice work. The first Beau picture, I can see you took three days.

:cookie: :cookie: :cookie: for your efforts. Three bags of cookies. Each bag has fifteen cookies.

Thanks :)

His name's Mkono, which means "hand" in Swahili. I thought it would be a nice name for him :D And squee a cookeh!! ^_^

i see lots of nice stuff here draco, but... where's Dragon Artha? :P

Arthapenn - August 28, 2009 12:41 PM (GMT)
I am impressed, Draco. That is a nice handprint on the dragon. Decepshun somewhere in Dragon City.

Cain - August 28, 2009 01:31 PM (GMT)
Drac, Draco, drac! I am impressed, so is my elder brother. My elder brother was a member, but he is no more. We are both impressed, and he is wondering where is Artha the Dragon?

Whoah! :eep:

yah, that thing could use a resizing.

Still, he looks pretty cool. ^^

Cain - August 28, 2009 11:58 PM (GMT)
That is great, Draco. I agree with Skulderian that it needs resizing.

Draco - August 29, 2009 02:52 AM (GMT)
Gigantic Dragon-Artha!!! :D *insert evil laugh*

Draco - August 30, 2009 02:39 AM (GMT)
I might as well add more since I'm here :)

Affecshun ;) Owned by Skulderian. I don't know her markings so I made them up in hopes of them being somewhat likeable.

That looks great for her basic coloring draco. i never really did describe her natural hide pattern, but i did mention that she had Connor add on a stripe of red down her sides with the chromo shifter (her personal choice ^_^ )

Thanx :) And you mentioned that? I must have missed it somehow... Dang. She must look completely different from what I thought up XP

Skulderian - August 30, 2009 03:56 AM (GMT)
Oh, not at all! in fact, if you wouldn't mind, i'd like to use this as reference for her. she'll be easier to write with an image of her solidified in my head.

You don't need permission :) You certainly can use her as a reference.

Skulderian - August 30, 2009 03:59 AM (GMT)
thanks much. and if you draw her again, you can just add a stripe of red down her sides to keep her 'current'. otherwise, she looks perfect to my eyes. ^^

You're very welcome :) Perfect? Really? ^_^ *blushes*

And what do you mean by "down the sides"? Do you mean a stripe across her lower body or something? I'm just a little confused. I need specifics. Dang my visual learning style X|

Skulderian - August 30, 2009 06:15 AM (GMT)
ok then, let me see if i can't put this into words properly... *ahem*

Starting around the back of her jaws, on her neck, and a little bit above those slightly jagged blue markings that are at the edge of her underbelly coloration is where the red stripe starts. the stripes keep above those marks untill it hits her shoulder, where they simply keep going in a horisontal line over her shoudler muscles and along the middle to upper 'side' of her ribcage, then staying lvel down over the side of her abdomen, then again level over the side of her flanks (her upper leg muscles) and then it goes down the middle of the side of her tail, stopping right before it connects to the darker markings on her 'tail-fin'.

That work?

Squee another picture! :D

I couldn't help it XD I had to do it sooner or later...

Okay, this took since last night, and I'm really proud of the outcome and used my drawing as a ref. I have a few people to credit about this, so I'll get started :):

Linearts credited to Shearkin, Neemers, and Nayade

For Shearkin

~ I used a Beau and Dragon Booster lineart for this, and used Beau's paws for the two front feet and one of the back feet.

~ I also used one of your Wyldfyr linearts in use for Dragon Artha's Magma-Class ears (are they ears or is it something else? Whatever).

For Neemers

~ I used the base of your Fracshun lineart for Dragon Artha's body, since I've read he most-likely represents an Energy-Class/Sky-Class dragon hybrid.

~ I used your Legendary Beau lineart for the very back foot.

~ I also used your Turbulance lineart as a base for the horns on Artha's head. I edited them to make them smaller and look like my drawing.

For Nayade

~ For the final touch of Dragon Artha, I used your Psi-Class dragon with its rider. I used the tail of the dragon as the tail for Artha, since the end of his tail was written to be like Coershun's.

--

Whew... finally got that off my chest... :faint:

I also made tons of edits with Artha's body (such as the arms and back legs and a little bit of the head; as well as minor edits with the teeth, since he is an adult instead of a hatchling like Fracshun) to make them match the description and my drawing. And AGAIN, credits to Skulderian for the story in which Dragon Artha here was in. I own none of it! :P

I'm such a fangirl.

again, very nicely done. this design of artha's hybrid dragon form is starting to grow on me.

on that note, have you seen Renesh's and Liliwen's pics of him in that form? not that there's anything really wrong with yours.

those are amazing, i especially like the dragon version of artha

Oh, yes I have! :D Theirs were excellent as well :) Though, Liliwen's was difficult to see because of the dark shadowing and scale-like texture. For some reason I couldn't see his form too well. Stupid laptop... *smashes PC with sledge hammer*

Liliwen's Dragon Artha seemed to be colored like a sea-green O.0 Again... stupid laptop. Liliwen's form of coloring and skin detail with her dragons are most interesting, and they're very foreign to what I've seen. Renesh's was really nice too ^_^ She did a nice job with her drawing, and even though the sketch lines are still there it gives the drawing some form of style, you know? Kinda like giving it something interesting to look at. Unlike myself, who erases the base lines so it's not so messy :P

lol We're talking to each other in two different sites XDD

And Renesh's colored picture looks so cute!! Your coloring was simple, yet very clean and I thought you did a nice job ^_^ He looks so huggable

Oh, oops :P

It's just a really big hassle to quote every single thing that people say and for me to reply to it, so I make multiple ones with their quotes above. I'm guessing it's not desired here, so I'll try not to double post (watch me do it again in another topic due to my slow brain XD).

And thank you :) I try to put enough effort into my stuff ^_^

a better idea is to put quotes from multiple posts you're replying to in the same box, each quote followed by your response to it.

I do that sometimes too ;) I don't get why you can't just have a "reply" button below a person's post XD Everything would be much simpler; kind of like the way the replies are set up on deviantART.

Skulderian - August 31, 2009 04:15 PM (GMT)
about the reply thing, i dunno. i got used to the manual quote editing tags after a little use.

Ans as for the stripe, firstly, i'm rethinking even having it there, but then, that's the neat thing about a chromo shifter apparently, you don't like a color change, use one to revert it back to normal. :P

Secondly, the red stripe was a little higher up on the side of her torso and limbs, if that helps.

though, perhaps, it's just a case of that sometimes things thought up and only expressed in text form don't translate as well in a visual format.

Edit: though, honestly, i guess i should've said it this way: i envisioned it, if you looked at her from directly above, a pair of red racing stripes, like on a car. dunno if that'll make it any nicer looking in actual practice, but it's what popped into my head.

Hehe that's true :) You could say Affecshun didn't want the design anymore and thought about removing it.

Why, hello there Alexis! :D I haven't seen you (much less talk to you) in a long time!

And yes, I started going on here around July, mainly because I signed onto this account back in 2007, yet I never knew how to use this site until now XD And thank you very much, I try to improve on my artwork, maybe do something different once in a while (HA! Watch me be brave enough to do it :P)

Hope to see you around the DB Forum sometime! I've gotten through a lot during the two months I've been here. Maybe see some new DB art from you?
