I have no idea if this has been posted yet since it originally was broadcast back in August 7th, 2007, but Trevor Devall, known as being the voice actor of Moordryd (and Captain Faier) of course, has his own internet podcast show called
Voiceprint, where he interviews fellow voice actors such as Samuel Vincent (Vociferous, Dorsull, Aerrow from
Storm Hawks), Brian Drummond (Kawake), and of course, Matt "Matty" Hill who voices Finn from
Storm Hawks. And of course: Artha Penn.
The original link is
here, which is over an hour long, with so much laughing, (in-)jokes, voice impressions, talking at the same time, and just plain off-and-on conversation that makes you feel totally envious/confused/WTF r they on/left out/annoyed as scales, that imagining Artha and Moordryd doing something like this will make your brain explode. I'd say it have a PG-13 rating for some mature talk such as some cursing, situations, and Drunk Trevor Stories. We also learn how badly Trev wants to land himself on Storm Hawks and how much Matty runs and probably would totally try to race and outrun Beau. :P It has been reposted recently by
crazypersonlikescake on Youtube in 7 parts:
Part 1Part 2Part 3 Part 4 Part 5Part 6Part 7Part 4 is the one that focuses on Dragon Booster, which Trevor and Matty discuss good memories of old days working together. Matt also mentions how he wished that the writers explored more of Moordryd's "daddy issues" (in which Trevor FINALLY makes one (
*coughdisappointingcough* ) Moordryd impression), as well as poking fun at Moordryd's snivelly voice,
especially Matt who "busted Trevor's chops" over both of those things.
(Matt: *snivelly* "FATHER! Oh, FATHER! Whatever, DAD! *insert more mentions of "FATHER!" in the show* (Paynncest joke in Part 7, 3:17. I swear it is) Apparently Trevor hated Matt "for the first 6 months of Dragon Booster" until he got used to Matt's nutty humor :D ) They also mention Scott McNeil (Cain) and Mark Oliver (Word) also poked fun at him for that, and how Trevor worked with Mark right beside him at times as Mark would recite his lines while giving
[dramatic]EVIL EYES[/dramatic] looks to Trevor (as well as Matt and the other DB VA's apparently). Both of them expressed hope in the show coming back, as they both clearly have enjoyed working on the show very much.
It's interesting in general to see a basic outlook on how the life of a VA works. Trevor mentions how he sometimes forgets which characters he voices, and I can understand why, even before he explained it. Plus, these two have so much fun and just laugh so much while doing a bunch of cheesy voices and poking fun at each other, and they seem like really good buddies and it's just kind of "d'awww ^_^" and "u guys r awesome". (Or maybe annoying, depends on your outlook. ^^)
Trevor Devall has also interviewed Scott "Scotty" McNeil (Stork from
Storm Hawks, a TON more awesome voices for characters and YAAAY CAIN :cookie: ) on October 25, 2007, which is FAR longer, FAR more (in-)joke filled, WAY MORE crazy, zany, yet very awesome voice impressions, A BIT more familiar (if you think Matty and Trev there are having fun, wait until you watch Moordryd and Cain's VA's duke it out), and also I'd say 14+/MATURE ALARM for LOTS of innuendo, mentions of male anatomy, mild controversial subjects (both of the last two mentioned in sponsor commercials by the way), and FAR more cussing, like several drops of poorly censored F-bombs. (They talk about
Black Lagoon. If any of you know what this is, you know how F-bomb filled even the dub was.) There's also touching stories from Scott near the end.
It has far less DB-related content, however, and was part of the general listing off of Scotty's many works - in which Scotty (in a sophisticated butler-esque voice) and Trev (in the same accent yet more Word-y and cheesy) discuss how Scotty played "[Moordryd's] whimsical and slightly significantic sidekick".
("You look very nice today sir! I'm planning to kill you you know.") Trevor mentions once again how he wish it had been longer, in which Scott butts in and says "you never know, I mean look at
Reboot." (Can we get these guys to sign the petition unless they actually did? Seriously! )
