At the moment all I can do are Psi or Energy classes, but I'm working on Star and I've got the screenshots for Nautilus. I'm hoping to also get at least Magma and Bull, but if everything goes according to plan I'll eventually be able to do Pack too. Who knows? Maybe I'll be able to find a spot to get a run sequence for Sky too.

Anyway, if anyone wants me to make them a run animation, just post a link to a picture of your dragon and I'll get it done as soon as I can! One request at a time please, if you want more than one then please wait until the first one is finished. Again, all I can do at the moment are Psi and Energy classes, so please don't ask me to do a Beau recolor or something like that until I announce that I'm done with the run sequence for that.

If there is anything that is different from the reference provided, please tell me.

If you want, you can specify whether you want the markings to be outlined in black or not. If you don't tell me one way or the other, I'll just decide what looks best. Keep in mind that if your dragon has intricate markings and you want them lined, they may not show much. You may end up with mostly black lines with a few small patches of color in between.


Also, if anyone wants to use an animation I've already done, feel free to do so. Just let me know you're using it, so I can keep track. And be sure to ask the person it belongs to if it's someone's OC.


Alright, people have been ignoring my polite requests, so now I'm going to turn them into rules:

I can do Energy classes, and Psi classes. If you want something else, too bad. If your dragon contains a part of a class I don't have available, don't request it. Wait until that class is available. An example is a Pack class head. Until Packs are available, don't request anything with any part of a Pack. Got it? Good.

If anything is different from the reference provided, tell me what's different, and how it's different.

I will only accept references that show all of a dragons markings clearly. This means that if it's a front view and I can't see all of a marking on the dragon's side or tail, or even the back of the neck, find a different reference. There will be no exceptions.

I will no longer allow anyone to request whether or not their dragon's markings will be outlined in black. If everyone is on good behavior long enough, I may start allowing it again.

Provide a link, and a link only, to your reference picture. If you embed the image in your post, I will deny your request and make you wait to make another request until the current last request on the list is complete.

If you already have one request on the list, DO NOT MAKE ANOTHER REQUEST until the one on the list is finished. If you have a request on the list and you try to make another request, I will ban you from making further requests. There will be no exceptions.

Star class run animations have been canceled. No amount of begging will get me to reverse this decision, and said begging will probably get you banned from making requests.

You may not request animations of other people's dragons. If you want one of someone else's dragon, get them to request it for you.

I am no longer doing race animations. One dragon per animation, no exceptions.

No-one is allowed to use any animation they have not requested unless it was stated at the time of requesting, by the requester, that it was also for your use. Also, if you wish to use an animation on a site other than this, send me a link to where you want to use it, and tell me what your username is there.

Also, check your post for typos before posting, I don't want to have to decode your message.

Phew! His markngs looked really complex at first and I was thinking "Oh man, that one's gonna be some work!" but now that I take a closer look, they're mostly just a modified version of Fracshun's markings. Haha, you scared me! ;P I'll be happy to do him for you! Gimme a few days and I'll see what I can do!

Oh, and on his left foreleg (our right) are the colors actually darker or is that just to make them seem more like they're in the background? Also, unless you don't mind me finishing his markings myself, could you provide a pic showing how his bright blue stripe over his shoulders ends on his back and how the dark blue under-neck/-chest section turns to the bright blue belly?

On his foreleg, it was just shading. I forgot to make his colors on his beck forleg darker for the shading as well, but I ran out of time! But, on his markings, they'r eperfect. They are just like that in the pic below. So, the pic below is perfect!

The rider's from the template, doesn't need to be in the animation. If he's too hard to see colored I'll bleach him, but he's pretty much pure black except his claws and eyes.

I can see him just fine. :) Is his head shaped just like the one in that pic, or is it more like Decepshun's, or Luutt's, or Coershun's or any other dragon? And do you want the markings on his head outlined even though they're the same color as the rest of him?

I can't start work on it until I'm sure, so if you could get back to me soon that would be great.

The shape of his head is closest to Decepshun. I'm trying to figure out how to redo the head and keep the rider intact, because the shape of his head is more like:

Also got rid of the spare markings. I left the one "marking" to show where his mouth should be. A mouthless dragon would be just plain weird, haha.

Screenshots...yeah, I was looking at the bloopers thread and one shot of Wyldfyr is perfect for me. I think I'll try to get some other shots, since I'm modeling and animating a biped dragon for school. Wish I could figure out how you guys manage to get such clear screenshots though. I watch DB on YouTube, but the images are usually a bit blurry.

Take your time, there's no rush. Hmm...someone else has a dragon with the same name, minus an "r". I hope they don't think I stole the idea from them...I had Corrupshun's name before I even came here, made it up myself. It suits him so well too, since he's so evil-looking.

@Swyftfyr: I downloaded the episodes, I have every one on my comp. I use VLC Player to watch them, and it can take screenies too, which is really helpful. I can send you some screenies of Wyldfyr once I get them, if you want.

I'll definitely have to look at that Wyldfyr thread once it's made. The dragon I'm modeling, the one whose head is in my avatar, is based loosely off of him. He's my favorite DB dragon!

Renesh, you must be quite talented. You manage to draw a dragon correctly in several different poses, even if it's shaped a bit different than Decepshun, who is the dragon your template is from I believe. If you ever get biped dragons, I'll have to get more animations! I might ask you to do a dragon or two once you have Star dragons as well. Which way will Beau be anyways; blue and red or black and gold?

Actually, I didn't draw them. I took screenshots of Decepshun and Fracshun and template-ized them. All I have to do is modify the original template to make it look like the specific dragon, then color it in, load all the frames into Beneton Movie GIF, set the delay and activate transparency and I'm done. That's why it doesn't take me more than a day or two if I work on it seriously. If I had to draw each frame by hand for each dragon it would probably take at least a week and still turn out terrible. I can't draw on the computer, despite the fact that I'm fairly decent with a pencil and I have a Cintiq.

I hope I do get a run sequence for bipedals, and if I do I look forward to doing some for you!

Beau will be red and blue. The only reason I'm doing Beau is because people deserve a high-quality run animation that actually is Beau. The ones that already exist are Shock-Ra with his fins cut off and his head replaced with Beau's! Not having a black and gold version is my way of protesting all the "(insert generic name here) the (insert color here) Dragon Of Legend!!!1!one!" recolors out there. >_< I hate those! Still, it'll go slow, because the Bouncy Dragon's legs are so hard to untangle. I'm convinced he's a draconic contortionist in his spare time, because feet aren't supposed to be able to do the things his do. The fact that they are all red is what's the worst. Open this in paint, zoom in to 6x and look at his legs. If you can figure out where one ends and another begins in less than ten minutes, you deserve a medal.

And besides, I don't think there's a good spot to get a run sequence of him with his true coloring anyway.

I use 12 frames for the Psi-classes and 8 for the Energy-classes. Star will have 10, and Nautilus 12.

@Amicela: Well, my only question would be what the markings on his hip look like. Without a good reference I highly doubt I'd get them right. If nothing else, could you describe them to me? I'll try and draw them in, then show you the result and you can tell me what needs to be changed.

EDIT: Evalest is finished! I like his markings and colors, his colors are similar to Coershun's and the markings are kinda like a cross between him and Decepshun. Fun stuff, despite the fact that they, like my own dragon's markings, can be a pain in the tail to draw. But hey, the best markings do tend to be that way, don't they? Well, not the best, because there is no "best" because it's all personal preference, but you know what I mean.

The only reason they made my neck hurt is because they are lineless, and it takes a while to get everything sorted out and the right colors, because alot of the red lines that I used to mark their positions touch, and if I use the paint bucket then it'll do everything, not just the portion I want. So I had to use the pencil, which takes alot longer. And I was working on my Cintiq, which I have laying flat on my desk, so I was looking down the whole time. For those who don't know, a Cintiq is basically a monitor that comes with a pen and works like a tablet. This is the model I have. I named it Cindy. ^_^


And BTW, I'll be doing a Pack-class if I can find a spot to get a run sequence. I'm actually looking for it and Wylfyr's right now. I've gone through roughly 15 episodes with no luck so far though. If all else fails I can get one that's at a slight front angle instead of the straight-on side-view that I'm looking for.

But it's awsome that you're making one, I can't make any without screenshots to trace into templates! I wouldn't recommend 18 frames though. You can get a really smooth animation with fewer frames and less work. 12 seems to be the optimum. What program are you going to use to animate it?
