Thanks for letting us know about the trailer. Ice Age Trilogy. What is next? Movies seem to be made in trilogy, but I am not complaining. Scrat is annoying and funny at the same time.

Scrat is far too cute to be annoying in my book. And he just wants the acorn; it's his mission in life. :) I find the sequences featuring Scrat to be very funny and entertaining, particularly with all the gags and great animation.

I really liked the first Ice Age movie. Even though the story was a familiar one (enemies/misfits teaming up and becoming friends by the end), the humor and animation style made it seem fresh. The second movie wasn't quite as good, but still enjoyable.

I hope the third movie is good. I love the idea of adding dinosaurs to the mix, and the T-rex they show looks really cool. Can't wait to see more of him. I hope he has a real role in the story and isn't just a monster that chases them around throughout the story the way the sharkasauruses did in the last movie.

Of course, what I really want to see now is "Ice Age 4: Dawn of the Dragons!" :D

Oh joy-dinosaurs in a totally wrong time period. It was inevitable, I guess.

Just came across some new information about the third Ice Age movie set to release on July 1, 2009. One of the funnier things revealed is that Skrat gets a girlfriend in this movie. Her name is Skratte. How original. :D

Watch the large HD trailer and you can see that they did a really great job on the fur simulation on Skrat and Skratte. I really like the look of the render engine Blue Sky Studios uses.

Looks like the whole gang from Ice Age 2 is back for this round with the addition of Skratte. There's virtually no information about the dinosaur characters, so I'm tending to think they don't have much of a role in the movie other than to chase the main characters. I just hope the T-Rex shown in the teaser trailer is an amusing character in some way.

Also, it looks like the movie will be shown in 3D in at least some theaters. I like that since it's always fun. I hope they show it in Imax theaters as well.

Hope this one is good. I thought the second movie was a bit weak, though it looked really great visually. I guess we'll know in about 7 months!

It looks pretty clear that the dinos were living in an isolated "lost world" type of place similar to the idea of "King Kong" or "Journey to the Center of the Earth". Don't see anything wrong with that other than perhaps it's a bit cliche.

I saw the trailer recently, and Skratte is different from Scrat. It was a very funny trailer. Their reactions made me laugh.

A new Ice Age 3 trailer is up. This is looking pretty good. :-)

I went to see "Ice Age 3" the other day. I thought it was good though not great. The jokes and gags were quite good and they seemed to be putting the emphasis on those. Great animation and great 3D. Worth seeing for animation fans. I wrote more in my journal if you're interested:
