Title: Light Burst For Photoshop 5.0.2
Description: If you're looking for a different style

I am messing around with photoshop today, and I stumbled on this. It's not as cool looking as The Furox's but it is alot easier, faster, and I can do it of Photoshop version 5.0.2

1)500x500 pixels, RGB Color, Transparent background.

2)Fill with any color.

3)Go to Filter>Pixelate>Pointillize and put the settings on ‘3’

4)Go to Filter> Artistic> Colored Pencil to get a neat, cross-hatched look

5)To go farther: Filter> Distort> Polar Coordinates and set it on ‘Rectangular to Polar’ to get a flower-shape.

6)Then use Filter>Distort>Spherize set at -100. Continue with the “ctrl+f” command until the sphere in the center is gone. You are left with a light burst pattern. Sharpen or blur to get the setting you wish. If you want, you can put a lens flare in. It's under Filter>Render>Lens Flare

Note: You will sometimes get strange colors in your finished light burst. If you do, start over and try a similar color. Here are some examples:

I used black and got this:

I used light blue, and got this:

I used dark purple, and I got this:

Use your own patterns to get even cooler designs.

Oh, very cool! An easy to get color variations that doesn't require starting over is to use the Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation dialog. This allows you the shift the hue/saturation and brightness of an existing image. Very handy tool. :)
