Chapter 1: Capture

Connor watched, as Moordryd ran off from the Penn Stables. Moordryd had sneaked into the Penn Stables in the night to capture Beau, the black and gold dragon that Connor had bred. Beau could mag all gear types and all gear levels. The dragon was sleeping, and the teenager's entry woke him up. The teenager had used a flashstick, to confuse the dragon so he can approach him. It was successful, but Connor came in time to stop him. The dragon had seen the boy using the flashstick, and could not do anything else, except to get up to defend itself. As Moordryd walked over to him, a distant memory came to him, and this memory caused him to get up. An incident occured, when he was still inside an egg. His father was pinned to the wall by trapping gear, and his mother was flashed at, making her look away long enough for the thief to grab an egg and get out. "Beau, remember this name: Paynn. You must not allow anyone, especially Paynn, to steal you. Connor is a good man. Trust only him, and his son. Most of all, protect his son from harm. You are a dragon of legend, and I am so proud to have a son like you." were the words from one of the two older dragons to the pup. Beau was only a pup then, but he remembered his mother's words well. "So, Word my old friend." Connor said. A sound from inside the stable caused him to look inside, and he saw his dragon standing angrily in front of the food trough, and clawing the ground with its right front leg. The man said, "Beau must choose!"

Inside the house, Lance was playing Vidd, and Artha was looking at the golden star armulet, which their father had given in the daytime. Artha was looking at it, when he suddenly notices movements with the corner of his right eye, and he stood up to walk to the windows. Lance paused to watch him, and Artha told him to wait in the room. Artha saw the intruders, and noticed the symbol at the back of a jacket. It was Dragon Eyes! He recalled seeing two of the Dragon Eyes Crew members in the afternoon. He was slowly inching his way to the Dragon Pen, when a loud explosion knocked him to the floor. Luckily for him, the Dragon Eyes did not hear it, and they did not see him. His love for his brother overruled his planned attack senses, and he decided to go back to his brother, Lance.

The Pen door opened, and Moordryd was caught by surprise, when he saw Beau standing, preparing itself to charge. His shock changed quickly into a sneer, and placed his arms on his hips. Beau clawed the ground, and his breeder had spoken to him, after Lance was born. Connor told him, "I have lost my supporting friend. She had been my pillar of support, and now she is gone forever. I miss her dearly, Beau. She was happy when you hatched, and I will not forget her joy. Do you remember her gentle hands? Good. You must protect my younger son too, as he is precious to my wife and I." Six-year-old Beau sensed Connor's distress, and went over to his breeder's side. The young dragon nodded, "His mother was gentle, and kind. I will not forget her. In her memory, I will protect her sons no matter what the cost."
Beau ran down the full length of the pen to get to Moordryd, but he suddenly found himself slowing down several inches from his foe. A green Trapping Gear was fired at his chest, and he was restrained. Moordryd continued to sneer at him, until he began to glow, and the Dragon Eye leader ordered the two crew members to fire another gear at the front legs. Beau felt his mag energy cut off, and he looked at the black gear on his legs. The dragon found himself being forced to kneel, against his free will, and he roared his dismay at the Dragon Eyes.

Pushing the door, Artha entered the room he was sitting in earlier with Lance, and found the room in a messy state. Beams laid in the room, and fire was blazing. Worry was in Artha's voice, as the older boy called out, "Lance!" and looked around. In a section of the room, red hair appeared from a fallen beam, and Lance showed himself. Artha went to him, and Lance looked scared. The younger boy told him, "I cannot find dad." He looked at his brother for guidance, and Artha turned to look at the opened door. But beams suddenly fell on the door, and the two brothers found themselves being cut off. There was no way out.

Down at the pen, Decepshun was ready to take her cargo, and she looked at her cargo. She had magged Green Towing Gear, and Beau was kneeling helplessly. The black and gold dragon thought to himself, "This is it. This is my future now. I have failed my father, and mother, and my good friend, Connor Penn. My father has the rights to fear for my safety. I am the leader of all the dragons, and Paynn can call the other dragons to start a Dragon-Human War. With me as his pet, he will stop at nothing to get what he wants." Moordryd, and his Dragon Eyes Crew, watched him. A faint cry rang out around the stables, but he did not hear it, his mind too busy thinking about his future life. He knew his life would be nothing more than a slave, and he closed his eyes, refusing to show his eyes to his foes.

In the house, Artha looked around the room furiously, and he spotted a vent in a wall. He took his brother to the vent, and noticed in dismay how small the vent was. It was too big for him, and it was not too small for Lance. He asked Lance to get into the vent, to escape to the outside. Lance obeyed, leaving him alone in the room. The older boy scowled at the gold-star armulet, and thought, "What good will this do, if I cannot get out? I cannot use it to break a wall."

Decepshun looked at her cargo again, as Moordryd mounted the saddle on her back. Her friend, Coershun, was nearby, and his rider mounted him. Moordyd ordered Cain, "Ride close to him, and make sure he does not do anything to escape from the towing gear. I will make it easier for you. I will use my trusty whip to drain his energy, so he cannot do anything else except to run closely behind Decepshun. Mount up, Dragon Eyes! Next step is my father's citidel!"

In another section of the stables, Lance had made it out safely, then he heard voices. He crept slowly towards the voices, and peeping out carefully, he saw Beau lying prone behind Moordryd's dragon. His brother had not appeared, and he was getting worried. He heard Cain, "Be a good dragon now, and follow us. Do not try anything. Do you hear?" He heard a roaring reply, and his heart 'sank' to his shoes. He whispered, "Oh no! Beau has been captured, and his energy has been drained. This is bad."

"Let's move out from this stables, Dragon Eyes. I had enough of this place. I obeyed my father to try out this dragon, and was stopped. Earlier, I came down to steal him, and the old man stopped me again. Now I have stolen this dragon, and I have achieved my goal. My father will be happy. If only my mother can see me now, she would be happy. Cain, your father once told me that she had insisted on testing a new black gear, and it had killed her. My father had used it on Connor, in their street race." Moordryd told his friends. Cain kept his eyes on Beau, as his leader drove Decepshun forward to the entrance of a racing track. Rancydd had mounted his dragon, and had driven his dragon to the leading dragon. The leader did not stop him from riding beside him. Beau half walked, and half crawled. His home rang with evil laughter, as he took one last look at his home of sixteen years.

Lance watched helplessly, as Beau was dragged out of his sight. He wondered if he will ever see the black and gold dragon again. He cried softly, "Artha is gone. Beau is gone."

Please review my first fanfic. Thanks.

Wow, another one of those 'Outcome' stories. :)

First, there's one from Broken Bonds (mine). Then there's another from Cain's Mutiny (yours I think). Now there's one from The Choosing. Brilliant! :cookie: It's like a whole new genre! ^_^

Anyway, as for this story, so far so good. Looks like Moordryd finally got his dragon. :eep:

What's gonna happen next? What's Word's plan for Beau? And what's Artha gonna do now?

Hope you can update soon! :cookie:

Thanks for the review, Burnout Beau.

Chapter 2: A New Dawn

"Well done, Moordryd. You have done the Paynn name proud, and after sixteen years, the dragon is mine to command. I would like to start the Dragon-Human War, but it would not do me any good if I use him straight away. I must let him explore his new home between five to eighteen days. If he is not familiar with his new home, I cannot do much for him. So! Connor my old friend was nowhere in sight, did you say, Moordryd? Good." spoke Word, beaming with joy. He was watching the monitors in his citidel, when Decepshun roared, and he turned. When he saw his son's cargo, he ran to the captured Beau, and patted its head. Beau shuddered at the touch, with one eye half-opened. He could not believe what he was seeing.
Moordryd replied, "Yes, Father. I promised Connor I would be back to capture his dragon. This is Beau. I kept my promise, and here is Beau." He was smiling, and his father smiled back at him. Decepshun roared at Beau, "Welcome to your new home, Beau. You had better get used to this place. I would gladly show you around. First, you have to wear Black Control Gear. Since you can mag all gears, you will be useful to Word. For the past hour, I had been reading your thoughts. You are wishing you had never been born. You wish your friend had obeyed the head priest, and did not go ahead with the breeding. Spare me your headache, Beau. You are sixteen years old, and you are in Word's citidel now." Her rider dismounted, and waited for his father to act. Word, still smiling, started to laugh, and Beau shuddered again. The dragon of legend was more scared now, and he did not want to show his fear to his foes. Laughter ceased a few moments later, and barked, "Moordryd, take Beau to your compound. Keep him in the cage, so you do not have to watch him at all times. He will not be able to escape from there. In the meantime, I will plan my next move, and I will tell you my plans later. Cain, I want you to take the bag that is lying there underneath the monitor. It contains Black Control Gear, and Black Mag Cables. You will be held responsible, if Beau attempts to breaks loose." Cain nodded fearfully, and pressed a button on his saddle. Coershun magged the bag, and handed it to his rider, who then slung it on his back. Word laughed evilly again, as the three teenagers rode out of the citidel.

At the stables, Artha coughed as the smoke threatened to engulf him. His eyes stung, as the flames inched its way towards him. He was near the door, and could hear Lance's voice. He called out, "Lance, you cannot force open the door by yourself. Go, and get help! Call Parmon. Tell him to bring his dragon here." Lance shouted a reply, but a beam fell on Artha, and the older boy did not hear it.

"Slow down, Lance. I cannot hear what you are saying. What is it? What! Beau has been captured, and Artha is trapped? I am on my way! Cyrano, get up!" Parmon answered the ringing telephone, and his eyes widen. Hanging up, Parmon rushed to his dragon, and told his dragon, "Run as fast as you can, Cyrano, to the Penn Stables."
Ten minutes later, Parmon saw the burning house, and drove his dragon into the wall, making a big hole. Cyrano climbed up, and his rider noticed smoke coming from a room. The dragon charged in the room, smashing the door into splinters, and entered. Parmon coughed too, as he called out, "Artha! Artha! Where are you?" A faint sound reached his ears, and Cyrano searched the room carefully. The dragon noticed a body, and with a few small mag balls, removed two beams, and magged the body onto Parm's arms. Parm, fearing the worst, placed his finger to Artha's nose, and exhaled a sigh of relief. Artha was still alive. Still coughing, Parmon urged Cyrano to break down a wall. Keeping one hand on the saddle, and another hand on Artha, Parmon held on tight as Cyrano charged its way out. Smashing the walls, as if it was glass, Cyrano leaped down to the waiting Lance. Lance waited until Cyrano was stable, and once the dragon was standing still, he went over to the dragon. Fear crept into his voice, "Is he...........?" Parm was magged down with Artha, and replied, "He is still breathing, Lance. Artha, can you hear me?" He took off his backpack, and took out a water bottle. He poured some water onto his friend's face, and the eyes suddenly flicked. He raised Artha's head, pressing the bottle to the mouth, and managed to get Artha to drink some water. Artha coughed, and Lance gasped. The older boy opened his eyes, and Lance ran to hug him. "Artha, you are alive!" Artha smiled, "Yes, Lance. I am alive, thanks to your quick call for help. Parm, thank you for your help. If you and Cyrano had not come, I would have perished. But I am safe and sound. Where is Beau?"
Lance replied, "Beau has been captured, and has been taken to Word. What are we going to do? Are we going to rescue him?" He looked scared, and Artha fingered the armulet. Parmon asked, "What is that?" Artha replied, "My father gave it to me yesterday. He said it belonged to the Dragon Booster, three thousand years ago. The priests passed the armulet to Connor, sixteen years ago. Now, after sixteen years, it is passed to me."

In the Dragon Eyes Compound, Beau threw himself at Moordryd, roaring. But bars separated him from the teenager, and Moordryd just smiled at his discomfort. He said, "Welcome to the Dragon Eyes Compound, Beau. This is your new home now. You will be eating, and sleeping, in this cage until my father calls for you. Enjoy yourself." Beau roared in defiantance, "I will get out of this cage somehow. Mark my words. You will pay!" Moordryd's laughter was the only reply, and Beau laid down, defeated. Cain said, "It is a new dawn for you, Beau." The two friends left the cage together, leaving Beau to rest.

Chapter 3: Recruiting

Word threw the Black Control Gear onto Beau, and the dragon roared in despair, as it felt its mag energy being drained. Word was standing in front of the dragon, and saying, "Bow to your new rider. If you will not bow down to me, I will instruct my son to drain more and more energy from you. What will it be now? Sixteen years ago, I lost Zulay in testing the Black Overload Pod. I had used the Overload Pod on my old friend's dragon, and it worked like a charm. If Orion had been less protective of her young, I would have taken more. No matter, I have captured you. Now bow to me!" Beau felt the gears on his legs, the same ones he had at the stables, and struggled helplessly to shrug it off him. Knowing who Word is, he felt himself weakening, and roared in anger. In despair, the dragon bowed without his free will.
Word laughed, "Good. Good! You will be wearing these black gears. I am your new rider, and there is nothing you can do to stop me. I have been saving something for a rainy day. If you will not obey my commands, I will use it. I will let you in my little secret. Nothing pleases me more if I can live alone in this world with just my son, and all the dragons. A world without humans is my idea for this planet. I will allow my friend's son to live, however. My son cannot go on living, without his best friend. All dragons and three humans living together, side by side. You will now summon the other dragons. Follow me."
Beau followed Word towards a higher platform, and at Word's command, he roared loudly to the city.

Artha, Lance, and Parmon, were seated on Cyrano in the courtyard, at the Penn Stables. Lance asked, "Word has captured Beau. What are we going to do? Are we going to rescue him? How do we rescue him? Is there anyone to help us? Hey, what are those dragons running? I know we have a racing track just outside the stables. But it is only used for the Acacemy tryouts. It had been exciting for me to see who wins the race. But these dragons are normal dragon racers. Let's go to the door, please." Cyrano walked carefully to the front gate, and the Penn crew were surprised to see many dragons running. Artha replied, "You are right, Lance. I cannot figure why these dragons are racing. Where are they going? What's wrong, Parm?"
Parmon replied, "Cyrano has heard something, and I do not know what he has heard. Whatever it is, it is calling these dragons somewhere. Do not listen to what they had heard, Cyrano! This must be Word's plan. He must be using Beau to call all the dragons, and if I am not mistaken, he wants to turn all of the dragons in Wraith Dragons." As the teenagers continued to watch the racing dragons, they noticed that many of the dragons had saddles, and Artha said, "Apprently, after hearing the summoning, these dragons had magged their riders off their backs."
"You got that right, Stableboy! There is no race now, as the dragon racers had been summoned. Since there is no race, Wyldfire and I have come to help you. Wyldfire heard it too, but he is too well trained to be misled. I had him for a long time." a voice called out. A red dragon raced in, stopping in front of the green dragon. Its rider, a girl that Artha and Lance had seen during the tryouts, raised a hand in greeting. She continued, "My name is Kitt Wonn. I remember trying out the black and gold dragon. Please tell me what happened."
Artha began, "Lance and I were relexing inside the house. Then I noticed three shadows outside the window, and I told Lance to wait in the room, while I check out the intruders. I went outside, and saw three members of the Dragon Eyes Crew. They were in front of the pen where Beau was resting. Suddenly, I heard a loud explosion from the top corner of the house, and I first though of Lance. I returned to Lance, and then the door was forced close by a falling beam. We were trapped for a while, and I noticed a vent, just right for Lance. He managed to escape. Lance, tell her what you saw."
Lance obeyed, "The Dragon Eyes Crew managed to capture Beau, and the leader praises his crew. He said his father will be pleased with him. He said his father will soon start a Dragon-Human War. His father will stop at nothing to start the war. I called Parm for help, and he rescued Artha, although he nearly brought the house down."
Kitt shook her head, "This is terrible. You are right, in saying that the leader's father will stop at nothing to start a war, Lance. I am here to help you. If you need speed, I can do that." Parm snorted, "What? Let a girl lead us. I don't think so!"
Lance said, "Kitt managed to avoid being magged off. I could use her help. If you are not willing to let her in, Parm, I will not be your friend again. What is going to be, Parm? Do you like me? I consider you to be Artha's good friend, and I am grateful to have a friend like you."
Parm threw up his arms, "I do not want to lose Artha' friendship, and I do not want to hurt your feelings, Lance. Kitt Wonn, welcome to the Penn Crew. Forgive my outbursts earlier." Kitt smiled, "Thank you. I will forgive you, Parm. I am slow to anger, unless I have been intensely angered. We must close the front gate, or a few of the dragons will stray in here." Cyrano magged Lance, and directed to the gate's switch. The boy had barely closed the gate then a dragon slammed headfirst into it! The Penn crew heard the sickening sound, and they winced. Artha said, "That must be painful. Come, let's get into the pen where Beau was captured. We can get a clear view of the gate. My father had the Red Thruster Gear, White Aero Gear, and Green Ramming Gear. We must think of a plan to save Beau." It was readily agreed, and the crew walked to the pen.

"My plan is working! See the dragons, Moordryd. They have obeyed my summoning. I plan to use all these dragons as my Wraith Dragons, fiercely obedient to my commands. This is working beautifully, do you agree? Soon, I will have my Dragon-Human War! Nothing will stop my plans. Humans will live in fear, and will be my prisoners of war. Security will be overwhelmed, and I will win!" laughed Word, as he sat on Beau. He patted the black and gold dragon's neck, as he pretended not to notice the dragon shuddering beneath him. Moordryd smiled, "Nothing pleases me more, father, to see all these dragons under your commands. Will you use Decepshun?"
Word turned to look at the teenager, and he replied, "I will not use Decepshun, Moordryd. She is too refined for my plans. You will ride her as always. I will not use Cain's dragon, either. I do not want to, if he was still alive, see my old companion's sad face. No, I will not any of the Dragon Eyes dragons for my war plans. These dragons you see below are my Wraith Dragons recruits. I have given clear instructions to your crew, my son. Go and take full command of your crew. See to it that my orders are carried out in full."
Moordryd replied, bowing, "As you wish, Father." Beau wore a sad expression, as he was forced to use his legendary status to call the entire city's dragons. The Black Control Gear was on his front legs. Word was getting his dragons. He laughed evilly, as the dragon watched sadly at the proccession walking into the citidel. Cain appeared, and told Word, "Fifty dragons have been successful recruited, Mr Paynn. More will be soon recruited." Word stopped laughing, and replied, "Excellent, Cain. You have done well in your report. Go back inside, and get the dragons to be in your care." Cain winced at the praise, and obediently went back inside, to the safety of the citidel.
Down in the control room, five dragons were standing in a line. They understood Beau's commands: Dragons, beckon to my call. Discard your human riders. They are no longer your friends. I am your friend, and you must obey your best friend. Come to me, and I will show you the correct path to supreme. I am never wrong."

great story!

Coershun is still alive and kicking. Word was talking about Cain's father, who kept Moordryd's father company, sixteen years earlier. The fathers of Moordryd and Cain are old friends. In fact, Word said he will not use any of the Dragon Eyes dragons.

Thank you for the comments again.

Beau may call the Penn Crew.

Chapter 4: Plan

Sitting in the pen where Beau had slept, the four Penn Crew members sat facing each other. Cyrano, and Wlydfyr lay beside them, between freedom and the crew members. Kitt said, "Apprently, Beau has been calling the city's entire dragon population. Listen!" In the stillness, they heard the stampede outside the stable. Kitt continued, "If we are going to rescue Beau, first we need to come up with a plan. Legend has it that if Beau falls in the hands of evil, every dragon in the city will become evil. Beau has fallen in the evil hands, and he is telling all the dragons to be evil. From the little bit I discover, he has a good heart and a good sense of humour. I am sad Beau has been kidnapped. I tried him out earlier, and he threw me off his back! You like me, Artha? I kept quiet about your expression, when I fell on you. We need a rescue plan. Do you agree with me? If you agree with me, raise your arms." There were three raised arms, and Kitt nodded, "Good. Since we all agree we must have a rescue plan, let us think of one? Parm, do you have any ideas?"
Parmon tapped his head, and Kitt sighed. He said, "If you have a good plan, Kitt, I am willing to listen. You are asking me, and I am still thinking of a rescue plan. The problem is, we do not know where is the citidel. I guess we would have to follow the dragons. I am still thinking, Cyrano. What is it?" The green dragon nudges him, and Lance looked up to where he was standing. Artha was closer to Cyrano than the others, and he got to his feet slowly. He went over to the green dragon, and said, "It is just walls, Cyrano. There is nothing here to be seen." Cyrano stretched its neck to a spot the children had not seen, and raising on its hind legs, he unhooked the wall. Light appeared, as the wall opened. The Penn Crew members were speechless. Artha said, "I do not know where this will lead us to. But it cannot be dangerous, because I have been living in the Penn Stables for sixteen years, and no danger has ever come from anywhere inside the stable. We can discuss to wherever this leads us to. It cannot be as dangerous as it is up here. Come on, I feel as if I would feel safer down there than up here." Lance got up to his feet, and embracing his older brother, saying, "Artha, I am scared." Artha smiled thinly, and hugging his younger brother, he walked into the lift he noticed it now. Parmon and Kitt got to their feet, and followed the Penn brothers into the lift. The dragons followed, and Kitt was closer to the buttons. She pressed the close button, and the lift went down. Parm cringed, and Lance laughed at him.
"Artha says it cannot be dangerous down here than it is up there. Stop being so scared, Parm. I like you as a friend, and I called you to come and rescue my brother. Now scared?"
Parmon stopped cringing, and Lance said, "That's better." Kitt smiled, and stroked her dragon's back. The lift descended, and the crew members stared at each other. They are all asking each other, "Where does the lift stop at?" Parmon asked, "I hope it does not lead us to the sewers. It is slimey in the sewers."
When the lift stopped descending, and the door opened, they sighed with great relief. It did not lead to the sewers, as Parm suspected. It opened up to a tunnel, and a bit further, they could see statues on the left and the right. Artha held his brother close, as he led the way. He said, "It must be safe here. Nothing has come up from Beau's pen, as far as I can remember. The only danger I could see was from the entrance of the stable, from the racetrack that is not always in use."
Walking further, they noticed a figure in green armour walking towards them, with a stick in the right hand. The children stopped walking, and the two dragons stood in front of them.
“My name is Mortis, one of the many Dragon Priests. I am here to help you with your training. The one Beau chooses will be the Dragon Booster. Yes, the Dragon Booster. He will walk again. But he will need his mount, Beau. I know why you are here, and I will help you in any way I can.”
Kitt sensed she and the boys were being rude. She said, “My name is Kitt Wonn, a former crew member of the Dragon Flares Crew.” Artha said, “I am Artha Penn, and this is my younger brother, Lance Penn. This is Parmon Sean, my best friend. How can you help us to rescue Beau?”
Mortis shook his head, “Beau needs rescuing, and this is very bad. Without showing the star amulet, Beau will not reveal his bone mark. It is nice to meet you, Artha Penn, Lance Penn, Parmon, and Kitt. Are you sure you want to help the Penn Crew, Kitt? Pyrrah will not like it.” Kitt nodded, “I am sure, Mortis. I will do everything I can to help Artha to rescue Beau, the descendant of the original Black and Gold Dragon. Earlier, we were discussing a plan to rescue Beau, and we did not come up with a good one. Do you have one, Mortis?”
Mortis, without saying a word, turned his back on the Penn Crew, and tapped his staff on the floor. Gold light appeared, and snaked its way across to a star-shaped platform. A huge star appeared, and after a burst of light, the huge star disappeared, and a smaller starry hole appeared. The hole opened up to reveal a gold gauntlet, and Mortis took it. He said, “Artha, I knew your father, Connor. He bred Beau, sixteen years ago. He told me that after Beau hatched from its egg, a gold light appeared between Beau, and your mother. He said that you, Artha, have gold bones in your body. Wear this gauntlet, and place the armlet in the gold star, which you can see. You need to rescue Beau first, and once you have him, I am sure he will reveal his bone mark to you. Lance, Kitt, and Parmon, I need you to keep this a secret. You must not tell anyone about this.” Kitt said, “I am here to help. My dragon did not throw me off, when I heard Beau calling all dragons. I managed to see Beau in the distance.” Mortis nodded; pleased to hear she can be trusted. He handed Artha the gauntlet, and advised the boy to put on his right arm. Artha took the armlet from around his neck, and placed the star into the star-shaped set. Mortis, Kitt, Parmon, and Lance, watched transfixed as Artha transformed in a ball of light. In the next second, Lance asked, “Artha?” Standing before them was a golden figure in armor, and the figure replied, “Yes, Lance. I believe Beau will choose me.” Mortis said, “Good luck, Dragon Booster. You will need all the help you can get from your friends, Artha. Parmon, Kitt, and Lance, I want you to promise me that you will not call Artha’s name, when he is Dragon Booster. He is known as Dragon Booster. If the others know, they will kidnap Lance. Connor has two sons, and the others will surely know about the Penn family. You three must wait outside, while Dragon Booster goes in alone. A place huge enough to contain the city’s entire dragon population is Moordryd’s compound, and I am sure you will find Beau there. Now what is happening?” He waved his hand, and a TV appeared. The TV showed dust, and Mortis zoomed in, and gasped. There were many dragons, and he zoomed in on the leading dragons, fearing the worst.
“As I had feared, Beau is being forced to lead the dragons to war. Since you do not have Beau, you must ride the dragon from Dragon Flares. Kitt, is it okay for him to ride your dragon?” Kitt replied, “It is fine with me. Wyldfyr, you are the fastest dragon I ever have the pleasure of riding. Is it all right for Dragon Booster to ride you?” The red dragon ‘purred’ at the praise, and smiled. Parm said, “That’s good. Cyrano is a bull-class, and he cannot ride fast enough. Kitt and Wyldfyr were leading in the race much earlier.”
The red dragon magged the Dragon Booster onto his back, and Kitt thanked him. Kitt returned to her saddle, and watched Cyrano magging the two boys. Mortis waved goodbye, as the two dragons ran to the lift.

“This is Dragon City Security, and I advise everyone to stay in their homes! It is not safe to be out in the streets.” Captain Faier was saying. He cannot believe his eyes. The dragons were running before his eyes, and his men were busily telling the citizens to stay inside their homes.

“Are you sure, Mr. Paynn, you want your son to live in a world with only dragons and no humans?” Cain asked Word. Word glared at him, “Nothing would PLEASE me more! Never ask this again, Cain!” Cain cowered, and dashed away from his side. Word covered his face with his right hands, and sighed, “I should not be yelling at my best friend’s son. If my friend was here, he would be yelling at me. But he is not here anymore. Cain is a good friend of my son, Moordryd. I did not trust humans, after Zulay died. My son was raised by a nanny dragon. I am sorry, Coershun. I should not have yelled at your rider.” Coershun was standing near Word, and the dragon smiled. Cain returned, “I was lucky to have my mother, Mr. Paynn. I am happy to hear you will not be using any of the Dragon Eyes dragons.”
Word replied, “You are a good friend, Cain, to be around Moordryd. The Black and Gold Dragon is mine to control.” Cain nodded, and patted Coershun’s back. His dragon nudged him gently. Decepshun snickered, and Word Paynn patted her head thoughtlessly. They watched the dust-filled race course, which was rapidly increasing with dragons. Cain mounted Coershun, and Word told him, “Cain, I would like you to ride with these dragons. Tell the leading dragon to slow down. If you see any humans, call me immediately. By right, they should not be any humans riding their dragons. The Black and Gold Dragon’s call is clear: Unseat your human riders, and come to me.” Cain nodded, and disappeared from his view. His best friend, Moordryd, was busy installing the Wraith Gear on some dragons.
“This is the last group, Moordryd. There are no more dragons. Anyway, the Wraith Gears are finishing.” Rancydd, a red-haired boy told Moordryd. Word’s son smiled, “Excellent Ran. My father evidently wants the city’s entire human population to be terrified. Let me fix the last Wraith Gear onto this sonic-class dragon, and we wait further instructions from my father. Off you go, Wraith Dragon. Terrify the city’s population.”
