Okay, so I myself am a more artistically inclined person. I love to draw, I live on DeviantArt, all that jazz. So naturally, when it comes to Dragon Booster, I take out my love of it by doodling massive amounts of fan art and making up my own fan characters. I enjoy making up back stories for them, and would love to RP them, but I absolutely -hate- rp-ing with cannon characters because I think that the show itself is the only thing that can be true to their personalities.

So I thought about starting up a Dragon Booster Forum of my own solely for the artistic aspect of it. The problem is, I really love this forum, and I really don't want to come off as obnoxious, or trying to steal people away, I just want a more artistic focus and a bit of a more lenient roleplay. There probably wouldn't be an episode or general discussion board to it though, just sections for posting art, fanfiction, and roleplaying. Perhaps even screenshots.

I'd really like to know what you all think about that. Even if I did have such a forum, I would still come here regularly for the wonderful episode discussions and overall show fandom that goes on. Also, there was talk a while back of making the fanart and fanfiction section separate so that this could be linked to from the Alliance Atlantis website (I think thats what it was)

So, yay? nay? What do you think?

I'd definitely be interested in an RPG that was just starting up so I knew what was going on, and I'd love the chance to see more screenshots. I'd still visit both this site and your site as long as they were fairly active.

Rob mentioned something about that, though I don't know whether it would really happen. I believe Rob was genuinely interested, but the lawyers may throw up enough obstacles to make it unworkable. Something like this is, of course, up to LightningFlash but I myself would be saddened to see the fan art or fan fiction sections go. That stuff's too much fun.

Also, Rob didn't state exactly what his concern was over the fan art and fan fiction with regards to them linking to this site. If Rob and LightningFlash decide to move forward with something like this, hopefully Rob would communicate the concerns from his end so that a solution could be found that works for everyone.

In any event, I wouldn't recommend getting ahead of ourselves and changing things now until we hear what the concerns are and whether LightningFlash thinks it's worth the effort.

Calm down, I have no intention of deleting the fanfic/art sections.

I've been lurking for ages, since my episode quota's been far behind everyone elses,a dn there are a million replies to everything before I get a chance to get on the puter that LIKES forums and doesn't automatically crash the page..

so I hate to be the hyper critical one, but isn't making another forum that involves sections we have here- except exclusive, overcomplicating? Not only, but it's also intimidating for those who DON'T draw, and DON'T write. True, i love Dragon Booster to the point of basing christmas cards on it... despite the total lack of takers on a card swap, (except for Furox, many thanks!! <3) but I have other art to do, and I'm sure, like all fandoms, each and every one of us artists will move onto a new fandom sooner or later to art. And being on a board with nothing else would lead to many pikers.
Not to sound hyperanalytical, but you liek fanfiction and DON'T like cannon RP? But cannon RP, but definition, is interactive fanfiction...
