I've noticed several times since this forum started that someone would post a comment about Decepshun and mention that she's evil. But is she evil? Since she doesn't talk, it's a bit harder to grasp her motivations. So what do you think? Evil or not evil? Somewhere in between?

She may appear to do things that are evil, but she's only being loyal to Moordryd. Though the Vysox bonemark may had some influence on her. But I doun't think that she is evil.

It's only because of her loyalty to Mordryd and the influence the two of them have given her.

The Vysox is evil, and it controls her actions sometimes, so she's quite evil now. As for before, she didn't object to anything Moordryd told her to do, which, in my opinion, a virtuous soul would have. Granted, she probably wouldn't be so bad if not for who she was raised by, but she's still bad to the bone. The thing that sealed the deal for me was in The Wraith Booster When Moordryd said that "The dragons should rule!" She gave a very obvious smile. That's the type of attitude that will start a dragon-human war.

No way is Decepshun evil. :eep: At her core she is a VERY good natured dragon and is VERY smart. Honestly if dragons dated or if they have a secret social life I wouldnt be supprised in the least if she and Beau got together. After all Beau often looks stupid because of the things he does in order to be loyal to Artha. SO they might just share that common connection and the relation could blossom. Anyway the only possibly evil bone in her body, (No pun intended), :faint: is the Bone Mark of the Vysox. Though judging by the fact that she was Armegeaddons dragon but in the end betrayed him for the forces of good I dont belive the Vysox to be evil either. <_< Decepshun has to have had a major dealing with Moordryd in the past to have such a bond and I cant help but wonder at what could have drawn them so close together....... :plot:

She wasn't evil to begin with, but Moordryd and Word have been a bad influence and have corrupted her. It was stemmed from young.

Well Im just glad that going by the poll most people seem to think like me and that she isnt evil. Theres far more to her than meets the eyes......

And also how is the vysox evil? The bonemark was once a normal everyday dragon until it was turned evil by Armegadonn and then sealed into the bonemark. But as for me... shes not evil... and never has been.

Since the Dragon Priests went to the trouble of securing the Vysox bonemark in a fortified and secret chamber, one has to assume that it's the bonemark of a dangerous dragon. If it wasn't, then why hide it? So I think we have to conclude that Vysox didn't end up there because she once won the Miss Congeniality award. :)

Personally, I'm undecided if Decepshun is truly evil or not. A few things to consider:

In the early episodes, she doesn't do much that I would consider overtly evil in the way that Word plots his evil plans. So maybe that's a point in her favor.

However, she does help Mordryd steal dragons which doesn't seem all that friendly of a thing to do. Also, in episode one Mordryd and company had Beau trapped and tethered up to her, making it look like she was going to drag Beau back to Word's citadel. That's not very nice thing to do at all and I'd count that as a point against her.

At least in the first two seasons, Decepshun doesn't directly engage Beau in fights. She pretty much stands on the sidelines while Moordryd and Artha battle it out, and she just provides mag energy to Moordryd. So maybe that's in her favor.

However, once she bonds with the Vysox bonemark, this changes. After that, there are fight scenes where she actively engages and fights Beau while Moordry and Artha fight. So I think you have to admit that she has become more aggressive if nothing else. Does that qualify as evil? I don't know. It's hard to tell with characters that don't talk since you can't really tell what they're thinking which would be the key to deciding this.

Overal, I think you have to say that Decepshun is perhaps more evil than she was before Vysox, or at the very least, more aggressive.

It would be nice if we knew more about Vysox from 3000 years ago, too. I still want to see prequel series that covers the original war. :dance:

personally i think that she is just being loyal to moordryd and that as moordyrd learns mag claw she is learning more about her self and how to utilise her draconium powers to aid her rider when he is battling so no i dont think she is eveil just really loyal
