Title: Storyboard - Seq 1-4
The Furox - March 7, 2008 05:44 AM (GMT)
Storyboard for Sequences 1-4
Notice the sequence numbers in the script on the left and right sides. Seq. 1-4 form a continuous set of shots, so we'll work them all here. Please post all storyboards for these to this thread. We'll also discuss and refine them here.
To help keep things organized, please number the files for your storyboards as follows: the file name should contain a two digit sequence number (use a leading 0 if needed), followed by a dash, followed by a two digit frame number for the frame within that sequence, followed by an underscore, followed by your name. For example, if I was storyboarding sequence 4 and have three frames, the file names would be 04-01_Furox, 04-02_Furox, 04-03_Furox. This way we can keep things in order and also know who drew what and it will make it much easier for me to edit things together into a story reel.

Hey, I was just wondering what sequence was being worked on right now? I'm not sure if it wasn't said said or I just missed it.

Oh, Furox, I have done one long panel to use for the initial pan down Dragon City. How should I name those? 04.01P_Mari?

People are working on sequences 1-5 at the moment, though we don't necessarily have to go in order.

It's sequence 1, so the naming would be 01.01_Mari if it's one long frame. If it's multiple frames, then the numbers go 01.01_Mari, 01.02_Mari, 01.03_Mari and so on.

Ok, the Furox I rename them and I upload them here. But I have a problem, photobucket erase the period between the numbers. Do I leave them all with an underscore, like 01_01_Nayade or I just leave it like this 0101_Nayade? Just tell me and I will rename them.
Also I wanted to ask you if you prefer them in 640x480 or if you want them in another size.
Well, here we go:
01-01_Nayade01-02_Nayade01-03_Nayade01-04_Nayade02-01_Nayade02-02_Nayade02-03_Nayade02-04_Nayade02-05_Nayade03-01_Nayade03-02_Nayade04-01_Nayade04-02_Nayade04-03_Nayade04-04_Nayade04-05_Nayade04-06_Nayade

*Jabs Nayade with a pointy stick* Yeah, way to ruin others' confidence, Nayade. XD
And we're reading minds again... We both did Word doing that arm thingy at the "Stay out of this Penn!", and we did the Connor hands the same at the response, and we did Connor smashing into the wall the same, and the dragon hound/priest thing.... 0,O I. Am. Scared.
Here, lemme work on renaming some of the files and I'll get those up ASAP and you can see what I mean... :poof:

Looks like photobucket doesn't like the extra periods. How about we go with a dash instead. So it would be like 01-01_Nayade. I think that will work well and it's easy to read.

Yes, please make any individual frames that are meant to be "still", meaning no camera moves during the frame, as 640x480. If you're making a frame where you intend there to be a zoom or pan across the frame, then you can make it bigger as appropriate. So you could make that long opening downward pan as one long panel if you want and I can pan down across it when I make the story reel. For something like that, I'd keep the width at 640 and just make it taller.
So if you can keep all the frames that are meant to be still at 640x480, then that would be great. Pan and zoom frames can be bigger.
Your storyboard looks really great as well! I can't wait to see more! :)

Ok. I'm fixing the names on photobucket.

Good, I do all my storyboards in 640x480. And I will make them bigger if it need to be Pan or zoom frames.
