Title: How To Reply To More Than One Post
Description: furrowing eyebrows and scratching head

I know how to respond to one post (just hit the quote button on that particular post) but how do you respond to more than one post, like I've seen others do?

you have your answer right in your post..... you have to click quote and then click on the quote button and paste the others post and quote it.

To do this:
QUOTE
I know how to respond to one post (just hit the quote button on that particular post) but how do you respond to more than one post, like I've seen others do?
QUOTE
you have your answer right in your post..... you have to click quote and then click on the quote button and paste the others post and quote it.
For this type, you can add the quote code by pressing the quote buttom when you are posting a reply. Remember that your quote have to start with [QUOTE ] and end with [ /QUOTE] (without the space). And repeat the process as many times you want.
You can also post like this:
QUOTE (RoldGold Dragon @ Feb 8 2008, 08:00 PM)
I know how to respond to one post (just hit the quote button on that particular post) but how do you respond to more than one post, like I've seen others do?
QUOTE (Deathshallcome @ Feb 9 2008, 09:03 PM)
you have your answer right in your post..... you have to click quote and then click on the quote button and paste the others post and quote it.
For this one, you can add the name of the person and the date by doing this: [QUOTE=name, date, hour ][ /QUOTE], for example:
[QUOTE=RoldGold Dragon,Feb 8 2008, 08:00 PM ](without the space in the end).
I hope this helps you :)

Here's the person, date, time method.

now for the person/date/time method you still have to physically copy/paste the text right?

You can actually get it to generate it for you. When I want to reply and include a quote, I just click on the "Quote" button in the upper right above the posting I want to respond to. I usually edit the quoted text down to the bare essentials, type my response, then hit the "Preview Post" and the board fills in the name, date and time automatically. Then if I want to quote others in the same posting, I open a new browser tab and find the other posting I want to quote, and then repeat the above process. Then I copy and paste the result of that posting back into my fist posting in the previous window. When I'm happy with how the posting looks, I hit the "Add Reply" button and the whole posting goes up with the multiple quotes in it. Fairly simple. :)

Cool...that's a neat way to do it to. :cookie: :D So you would hit the "quote" button (on the actual post the person wrote), which would generate the name/date/time/post by itself. Then you would open another brower, go to another post, hit button and follow the same procedure. After that, you would copy/paste quote from second browser onto first browser area that you are typing in. Do I have that right? :)
The Furox - February 16, 2008 05:59 AM (GMT)
Yep, you got it! Just be sure to hit the "Preview Post" button before you do the copy and paste. That's the step that automatically adds the name, date and time to the quote. Then you can copy and paste. And once you start using "Preview Post", you'll see how the quote tags works in case you want to edit it yourself.
