Does anyone play this game? Do you remember it?
This is one of the Blizzard games I owned. The other games are Diablo, and Warcraft (the first game). I enjoyed playing this game, and I became addicted to it. I could play the custom game all day, and never get tired. Before the Brood War, I loved the Zergs. They need Overlords to oversee them, and every time I want more units like Zerglings, I need to build more Overlords. It is still my favourite race, even after the Brood War was released. The Protoss are good, especially when I can use them to enslave the Zerg Drone, and Human SCV. I have since played Brood War's custom game, taking control of all three races. I used the Zergs to destroy the Humans, and the Protoss to destroy the Zergs.
I bought Insurrection, and Retribution. I am patiently waiting for Starcraft II.

Yep, I used to play it before when I was still little.

Who wouldn't? Even I got addicted to it before too. After all, it's the national electronic game in South Korea (even bigger than WoW). :lol:

Same here too. After all, the whole storyline is mainly about the Zergs (the Overmind, the infestation, Kerrigan). The Overlords have two roles; not just for capacity but also acts as transport for Zerg forces. The only problem about the Zerg is the lack of tough units that can challenge the likes of Terran Battlecruisers or Protoss Carriers. My fave Zerg units are the Hydralisk and the Lurker.

That's because they have the Dark Archon. Cheeky... :lol:

Hmm, that may take a 'while', 'cuz they haven't even announce the release date yet. It may be this year, or 2009, or even 2010 (who knows?).


So far, from what I saw from their main website (Starcraft 2), the Protoss and Terran units are like, man, awesome.

The Protoss now not only have the Carrier, but also a freakin' Mothership! If that's not large enough, they have the gigantic Colossus. How gigantic? It's so big, even anti-air defences can attack it. :eep:

The Terran seems to have gone Mech Warrior-style. Their Viking mech can transform into an airplane (think Transformers here) and their Battlecruisers can now be upgraded to fire multiple lasers (the proton torpedo upgrade). Their Banshee fighters seem to replace the Wraiths role while their Ghost unit now acts like a sniper. The biggest ***-whooper is the Thor, which is so huge, you need an SCV to build it (not from War Factory) and it looks like a cross between a Fafnir (from Mech Warrior) and a Juggernaught (from C&C).

The Zerg section is not yet available, but the only new Zerg unit I heard is the Baneling (which sounded like an evolution to the Zergling). I hope the Zergs have something big and bad to handle giants like the Thor and the Mothership.

Enjoy Brood War while it lasts, Arthapenn, 'cuz when Starcraft 2 is released, you'll probably ditch it. :D

I love to watch the competitions. I have korean telelvision, and it shows all the competitions all over (I just watch, I don't understand korean) 24/7. I'm addicted to watching people play this game, I hate playing it though. Weird... :unsure:

I have only one thing to say on the subject of StarCraft:

Yep, nothing scares the wits out of your opponents than a good ol' Zergling rush. Classic... ^_^

That's right. The Dark Archon are the best Protoss unit to play, when they are on my side. When they are not my side, I do not like them, as they will take my unit away from me.
Thanks, Burnout_Beau. I am already falling for the Starcraft II's play mode. I was impressed with what I saw on Youtube. I will enjoy my Broodwar while it lasts. ^_^
Who knows how I would feel during the next few years. ^_^ It is nice talking to you four. More fans would be nice.

Woot! The Hydralisk looks wicked (although not much change in appearance)! And the Mutalisk also looked much better than its previous version which reminds me of a winged colon with a huge mouth :D .

Also, Jim Raynor's biodata is up and he's the first hero I've seen so far.
