Summary: Word Paynn decides to create a new Dragon of Legend so he send Mooryd to get the dragons he collected in The Chromatic Dragon. Only this time, he wants Propheci, Gunny, Libris, and even Decepshun! He claims his new DoL will allow him to rule and that there will be no bonemark to destroy! What could he be planning? R&R Set after Eye of the Dragon.

A/N: Sorry the first chapter is so short. I'm already writing the second chapter.

Chapter One
The Plan

Word Paynn pressed a button on the keyboard in front of him. The many screens in front of him flickered on. Each was playing a different clip of the Dragon Booster and his dragon, Beaucephalis. Word turned his focus to one screen that was playing a clip of the Dragon Booster rescuing Kitt Wonn by activating Beau's wings and flying to a nearby rooftop. After watching it a few times, he shifted his position to watch a screen that was playing back the moment where the Dragon Booster had almost lost his dragon because of a foolish bet against his son, Moordryd, in a game of Jousting. The foolish boy had almost lost it all. But once again, his dragon had saved the day by finding the spirit to go on and convincing his rider not to give up. Word shook his head.

“The Dragon Booster would be nothing without his dragon. If I had that dragon, I could easily take over the world! Unfortunately, the great Beau will not easily be swain to my side. He'd sooner die than start a war.” Suddenly, an idea popped into Word's head. “Maybe I do not need that dragon to start a war. All I may need is the right gear and the right energy.” He closed the many videos and activated his vidd-link. “Moordryd, I have a mission for you. Long ago, I had you bring me a dragon of every color, did I not?”

“Yes, Father.”

“Well, for this mission, I need those same dragons. Although... There are a few dragons I need instead of the last ones you brought me.”

“Just name them.”

“I want you to bring me Libris, Propheci, Gunny, and your own dragon, Decepshun.”

“A-and all the other dragons are the same ones as before?”

“Yes. Now go!” Moordryd nodded and deactivated the vidd-link. Word sat back in his chair, his mind working a mile a minute on his plan. “Once I have the needed dragons, I shall create a new dragon of legend! Only this time, there will be no bonemark for the Dragon Booster to knock off!”

Word never does learn his lesson does he? He's always trying to create his own dragon of legend. :D Nice opening, great attention to detail (like shifting his attention to look at the monitors).
