QUOTE (Alexis @ Traverse City, MI)
In the Accademy there are certin house areas where certin dragons and riders go in, like you said based on their energy. Since Artha and Beau are gold where do they go? No one is suppose to know, besides Mordryid, that Artha is the Dragon Booster and Beau the Dragon of Legend.
Great question Alexis! And I can't totally answer it, LOL because that's episode one of Dragon Booster Academy. Yes, you are very right on when you wonder where a gold dragon goes in Academy and also as you correctly said, nobody can know Beau is gold draconium. Remember though that Beau being a combination of all energies, can call upon any of them for a time and also, in reference to an earlier question; Beau's parents have some influence over his draconium as well. Hmmmmm, wish I could say more LOL!

QUOTE (Sarah Frost @ Australia)
How many Crew-members go to the Academy with the winner? Do they go to the same house as him or her, or do they choose (are chosen for) another house? Are they treated any differently to the winner in what classes they take? Are Penn Racing planning to end up in the same house?
Hi Sarah! Great question, generally, you get to bring your key crew members with you or the ones you'd need in your pit for a street race. That means, that Kitt, Parm, Lance and Cain are some of the people you can count on seeing in the Academy, though Lance will be more there because Connor teaches there and his brother is in. Also, yes, there is always a risk that the dragons may decide that a crew member from another new student might be a better fit for your house, but , you know...I don't want to give too much away!

QUOTE ( dolphinliss)
Could you tell us what a typical day at the Academy would be like? Or could you even give us something like a schedule?
Good question dolphinliss! I don't want to give away too much from the Academy, but as you can imagine, you'll spend your class day with the heads of all the various houses, learning things about their particular draconium, history, gear and philosophy, battle styles, purpose and such. Funny thing about the Academy is that they teach you as best as possible to understand all the colors and philosophies of the world, which of course means in a sense, to be a 'trained' kind of Dragon Booster. Of course, the Academy was created for this honorable purpose only it can never find balance since the houses are by nature, "separate". Wherever there is division, there is no balance, which is why we need a real Dragon Booster. Little secret, the ancient order of Dragon Priests do not agree with the founding of or continued use of the Academy!

Beau's parents? BEAU'S PARENTS!?!? Is he trying to say Beau's parents might make an appearance? He is saying "have" and not the past tense "had" in that line. Do you think it's possible that one or both of Beau's parents might be part of that council of dragons that decides who goes to which house and then skew the results so Beau's identity isn't revealed? :faint: Maybe I'm reading way too much into that one sentence, but man, that would be so uber cool! Not to mention that we'd finally get to see a dragon family together. Either way, I really want to find out what that line means now!
Artha_penn1995 - January 8, 2008 09:01 PM (GMT)
I'm with you Furox! I just read that line and I was like could it be that Beau's parents are one of the "silent" dragons? Or could it be that they are a different draconium and could help Beau change into one of it? :faint: I NEED TO SEE DB: ACADEMY!!! Or i'm going to magblast everyone at the stations! :gblast:
One part I didn't get, is Lance going to LEARN at the academy? Or is he just hanging around? And Connor teaches at the Academy? Hm..... I wonder what he teaches, probably breeding :D Got to keep the petition going!

I believe the two sentences before that explains why: the Academy perpetuates the separate draconium houses, and therefore they can never come into balance. The Dragon Priests are into balance (like gold dragons :)) and so they don't approve of how the Academy does things. I would imagine that the Dragon Priests would approve if the Academy did away with the separate houses and stressed balance instead.

Don't know. He's a bit young for the Academy, but you'd think he'd be doing something other than just hanging around. I imagine he'll tag along for whatever training the crews get.

Or racing. Connor was an Elite Class racer after all. Or maybe care and feeding of dragons: "OK class. Today we'll learn the proper way to scoop..." :P

I think it means that whatever bone colours Beau's parents were are the 'dominant' ones in his body. While he's gold, he probably has some secondary influences in there as well (humans have them, why not dragons?). I'm betting that Beau's parents were blue and red, given his colours when in disguise. Having red and blue dragons for parents also goes some way to explaining his strange body shape-he does kind of look like a combination of those two kinds of dragons.

That would be nice. After all, isn't that what new seasons are all about? New suprises? :D

Well, I think that's not really necessary. Considering that Beau's parents have an influence on Beau's draconium, they can just 'change' his influence in a way that the dragon judges (is that what they're considered?) could not detect his gold draconium energy without being part of the council.

That is probably what Lance is going to learn... But seriously, Connor will prebably teach either breeding or racing. But if he will teach racing, surely he won't ride T. Pax? He'll destroy the track in like two steps

it'd be funny to see a fight break out between his parents over which house he would go to
but i think it would more mean that his parents main draconium would influence which colour he'd call up

Well, T. Pax making an appearance at the Academy might not be as far fetched as it sounds. We've seen that Abandonn has an alternate color scheme to disguise himself, so maybe T. Pax does as well. That way Word wouldn't be able to figure out that Connor's giant dragon is the same one Mortis was riding (since the characters in the show are apparently unable to identify dragons once they change color :P ).
And since the Academy is supposed to prepare the students for Elite Class racing, it sort of makes sense for someone like Connor who's an Elite Class racer and a teacher at the Academy to give some demos at some point. Obviously, he'd be taking T. Pax out on one of the Elite Class racing tracks and not the normal roads where the street races are run, and I think it would be kind of fun to actually see an Elite Class race and to see what good old T. Pax can do on the track.
Artha_penn1995 - January 10, 2008 08:53 PM (GMT)
Yeah, but the teachers will probably supervise the races that the students participate in. They will need a dragon, so what i meant was that Connor won't ride T. Pax when an academy race is on.
Seeing an Elite class race would be great, and i agree on that. I wonder how T. Pax changes? Hmmmmm...... We'll just have to wait for the next season
:P

I still think that a dragon the size of Godzilla would be a hard thing not to miss even if it was a different shade of sparkly pink.

Really?!?!?!?! What episode?????? I cant belive I missed that! I have to watch the episodes again! But I bet the Dragon Priests will some how destroy the Academy eventualkly and then start their own school of higher dragon raceing / education.
The Furox - January 13, 2008 06:47 AM (GMT)
The episode is "All is Not Lost". It's where we first see Word and Abandonn together. You can see Abandonn's "normal" colors on the trading card:

Then when we see him again with Word who's posing as Drakkus, he's in the other colors:

I admit it isn't very believable that the characters can't discern color changes, but Artha hasn't figured out that the giant dragon he saw Word riding in "All is Not Lost" and the one he saw Drakkus ridding in "Return of Drakkus, Part 2" are the same dragon. Nor has Word or Moordryd figured out who Beau really is. Therefore, it would seem that T. Pax can safely show himself and stroll around the city as long as he's in different colors.
