Well Im now animating dragon model for my game and I was thinking how dragon run? I need to make RUN animation but I dont know how does he run... With all four legs at one time or how? Maybe someone could add gif picture or something?
Watch the very beginning of the 'Mechanist' episode, it shows Beau front legs in close up and in slo-mo, then just after that a bit more.
I'm also thinking of maybe a horse galloping, one foot is just in front of the other of the front, then same when the back legs hit the ground.
I've got to go through this when i get back to animating my model as my first attempt, i done both fronts same time then the back the same, bad mistake.
I just want to know if you are going to make them run like real reptiles or gallop like young freshwater crocodiles. Then i can try and help ya.
Well, we know that bipedal dragons run like all two legged animal
And I've seen two different ways for quad. Have to remember how to describe them.
Walking is easy, one foot in front of the other, and loop. Running is more like a loop of a jump than anything else. It's not like horses. They have a hang time, then one foot touches the ground, leaves, then another. From what I've seen of a dragon's run, there's hang time, all four, more hang time.
