Title: Quirks
Description: Any strange little thing you do?

Here's some of the habits that others find strange:
* If I enjoy a film/book/movie, I always manage to get on the net and check out the fandom within a day of veiwing.
* I have litterally hundreds of notebooks around the house, and NO ONE but ME is allowed to look at them. (Not just limited to parents for content, but other writers, my friends, my mother's friend who picked one up got it snatched away and glared at.)
* I have to keep my hands moving. Mostly this is writing, typing or doodleing in my schoolbooks, but in assemblies and the like I tear the prayer sheets into strips or play with sticks. I take a stress ball or marble into exams to keep my hands busy if I have to re-read over my answers.
* I have a fixation of certain characters and everything comes back to them in some way.

You too? I'm glad I'm not the only one that does those things.
I'm not sure if this counts but I'm Obsessive Compulsive. If I see something out of alignment, I have to fix it. I am bothered by books being out of order so I always end up being the one to stack the books in a neat pile that is either organized by size or volume number.
I also count my steps and if anyone messes me up I get really mad. I count to either 13 or 24; sometimes I even manage to count to 100. I have developed a system of what tiles/metal things that I step on count as(metal things are a 24). I can never step on purple tiles with out feeling like I've been poisoned. If I step on 6 red tiles in a row, I get a 24. I always have to start walking with my left foot, never my right.
I also count my words. I even count the letters IN the words. I've even developed a system of what words count and what words don't. Words I say alot don't count.
Whenever I see the time, I have to figure out how much time would have to be added to it in order to reach 13(1:00).
Do I sound crazy yet?

I don't like math, so I don't enjoy counting. Um, but I do constantly mess with my hands, kay yasha. I like to bend my fingers backwards. I am double jointed to an extreme. I can almost bend my fingers backwards at a ninty degree angle at the middle knuckle. it kinda grosses people out, lol.
Since I play classical guitar, it is important to me to keep my fingers flexible. I can stretch my index and middle fingers apart at a very obtuse angle. now i have a little habbit of practicing that.
I can't stand it when my hands are (or feel) dirty. In the middle of class, i get the sudden urge to wash me hands. im a girl, maybe i am supposed to be that way =]
I also like to look for things (sometimes people) that can remind me of Dragon Booster =]

Let's see...
- I click my teeth twice when I'm annoyed (mainly at objects).
- I narrow my eyelids when I'm annoyed (mainly at annoying people or lame sayings).
- When I'm bored, I will walk up and down the house non-stop. That's how I plan out my fanfics sometimes. :P
- Before sleeping, I'll always think of something that excites me. :P
- I'm a rigid person when it comes to daily activities (when there is any change in activity, I must always be notified first in advance or I'll get cranky  ).

I'm guilty of all of them.
1. There has to be some noise around me to work on something. I can't stand when it's quiet.
2. I always talk with my hands.
3. I keep crossing my legs when I'm bored.
Renesh - December 17, 2007 06:52 AM (GMT)
I have to have my silence, but I can't have silence. Does that sound wierd yet? :P I can't have people talking to me or have alot of background noise when I'm doing something - anything - but I have to have music playing at all times. I can't focus without it. Or fall alseep. XD
I always cross my legs when I sit down, even though it's actually bad for you, though that's more out of habit.
I almost never draw heads on my pictures. They always ruin them! :'(
I can never stay focused on any single game for more than a few weeks at a time. Particularly MMORPGs. And I typically take 6 month breaks from those MMOs. Which is fine actually because I only play Guild Wars, which doesn't feature the keep-paying-us-even-after-you've-bought-the-game system.
I have ADHD. For those who don't know, ADHD is Attention Defecit Hyperactive Disorder. Short attention span, lots of energy. I have to exercise for 2 hours straight every day just to be able to fall asleep at night. If I come off as spazzy, this would be why.
I hiss at anything that attacks me. Seriously. At the last house I lived in our neihbor's cat kept attacking ours, so we would try to drive it away, but then it started attacking us. It ripped holes in my Mom's Ugg boots with its claws and drew blood when it attacked our cats! But anyway, it was going to jump at me one time, so I swung my foot out to either kick it or keep it away from me, and I hissed at it. I didn't even think about it. It was like...reflex or something. XD
I always have some sort of story running through my head. Usually a fanfic of some sort, though I never write them down. I only pause it briefly when I need to say something, it even keeps running while I'm listening to someone else talk.
Am I wierd enough for ya? :P

I used to play Guild Wars.
I have a long list of quirks. Some are very disturbing.
-Whenever I want something to happen, or I am doing something, I snap my fingers.
-When somethings goes unreversibly wrong (usually something to do with painting), I mutter 'Undo! Undo!'. I haven't done that lately.
-I am prone to talking to myself. This ranges from inane comments, repeating lines of dialogue from television shows, and singing the Transformers G1 theme song to saying very disturbing things like 'I want to destroy the universe' and 'I want to die.' (Yeah, I probably have something wrong with my head).
-I count on my fingers when working something out without a calculator, even though I've repeatedly been told not to. I can't help it, it's ingrained in me!
-I stretch my arms and legs a lot when I'm sitting down. This is usually because I can't get up, like in class.
-I used to be a shop-a-holic. I could just walk in to somewhere and walk out with some crap toy thing in my bag and my wallet lighter. Now I've basically sworn off buying stuff I don't need, unless it's named Grimlock.
Da Suga Queen - December 17, 2007 10:13 AM (GMT)
yeah, I have some major quirks. (flaws, weird things about me...)
1. I fidget. Sitting down, I can't stop moving until I've found the perfect comfortable position.
2. If I decide I like a ship in something, I become rabid about it and immediately start trawling fanfiction.
3. I can't help smiling. Even if I'm not too happy, my mouth always tends to be shaped into a smile, without me even realising. And the teachers are always at me about it.
"Why are you smiling?!"
"I wasn't smiling!"
"Yes you are! You're plotting something!!!"
"...'
4. Little kids seem to be drawn to me. It's weird. Once, while watching my friend do a stage performance, I sat down with the little kids at the front (no seats left) and within minutes, I had one holding my hand, three talking to me, another in my lap, and a heap more of curious others all wanting to know what was going on. Bleh. It's no gift. What am I, the toddler whisperer?
5. I take terrible photos. It doesn't matter how hard I try, i always end up looking dodgy, doing something stupid with my feet, hair a mess, some sort of whimsical look on my face... I have ruined so many photos with my inability to stand normally, it's just not funny... :plot:

Exactly the same for me.

*I have a thing with cats, no matter what kind. I volunteered at a rehabilitaion and quarantine centre and when a circus illegally shipped in some big cats I got along with them too! (There was a beautiful tiger there-only a year old and already heavier than me- who would follow me for pats. She's gone now and has been taken up by a Zoo outside Australia but I'll always remember her.) Cats don't get angry at me like they do other people.

when i'm at the computer i always seem to put my fingers of my left hand in my mouth. that's probably cause my head is resting on my hand.
if i'm really focused on work, it's hard for me to look at the person talking to me. sevral times my friend amanda has made me look at her when she is talking to me. i am listening, it's just to her it looks like i'm not.
if i have a real good story (or while listening to music) or music video in my head i have the tendancy to act it out. any where outside of my home i have to restrain myself. which usually causes me to shake periodicly, unnoticable to others.
i have to think of something before i go to bed.
if i think of something and don't say it within 5 seconds some one else will
a thought will pop into my head and shortly after it happens
i'll add more later
