Personally I think it is going to be a lot of fun for the younger audiences especially but I know there will be a ton of adults into it as well.

Spyro is cute and could make a fun character in a movie, and hopefully it would follow the feel of the games and be action/adventure oriented. The thing that worries me is that just about all the movies based on video games have sucked. I never heard of Animation Picture Co., and the fact that the writers they're using wrote "Dr. Doolittle 4" doesn't exactly fill me with hope either. I hate to judge too soon, but I'm not optimistic about this.

I'm with you on this one. Historically movies based on games, (And games based on movies now that I think about it) have a terrible track record. There have been noteworthy exceptions though. (Final Fantasy Fw00t!) I hope, for their sake, that they can do this one right.

I bet we'll be waiting for a very long time. The game Hitman was first allowed to be made into a movie like 4 years ago. So assuming this was the case, a possible Spyro movie may not be released until about 2011, that is if things go according to plan. :unsure:

spyro is wicked and it would rock to have the movie! i play the ps1 game on my ps2(the year of the dragon) and it rocks!

I've liked the Spyro games, but I just don't think it's theater movie material... I might be judging too fast though.

Looks like rumours are rife that the Spyro movie could be released as early as next year (Christmas 2009 to be precise). Take a look at the promo movie poster:

Among other things, it says the writers are the ones who did Dr. Dolittle, Scooby Doo 3, and Garfield's Fun Fest. Hmm, I don't know about you, but I'm not feeling very encouraged at the moment since none of those movies were very good.

But a dragon movie is a dragon movie, so I guess I'll go see it anyway. :)

While I don't play the game, I may watch this movie. I loved dragons.

yea i don't like barney. it's so creepy! although, i wouldn't mind my DB toys becoming real. that'd be so cool...
