Title: Worst Babysitter In Dragon City
Description: There has to be one!
The Furox - October 21, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
So this is kind of a silly poll, but what the heck. With no new episodes airing, we have to have something to talk about. :)
So let's say you had a child and all the "good" babysitters are busy and the only ones left are those on the list above. Who would you least want to babysit your child?
By process of elimination, someone has to be worst babysitter in Dragon City. Who do you think it might be? This poll allows you to pick two if you want.
I included some dragons in the list just for fun. I see no reason why a mature dragon couldn't look after a human child for a while, so I think dragons are eligible to be babysitters.
So who do you think is the worst? I think there are some tough choices to make here. :D
Dragon Fanatic - October 21, 2007 03:10 AM (GMT)
Two people.
Artha and Word
Artha: Thinks the baby can take care of itself and he can try to pick up Kitt
Word: I'd feel so sorry for that poor baby!
Empyrean-Dragon - October 21, 2007 03:49 AM (GMT)
Armeggaddon and Vociferous...
Seriously! Armeggaddon looks like he could easily scare the kiddies into hiding under their beds(which takes care of the complaint of a monster hiding under the said bed)! And Vociferous, on the other hand, doesn't look seem like a patient fellow.
I didn't vote for Propheci because I thought he might have a soft spot for children. ^_^
Propheci: Foolish human child! It's past your bedtime! Do you want to spend the night in the Track of Doom?!
Little kid: NOOOOO!!! *runs up to Phopheci and hugs him8
Propheci: Then off to bed...
Reepyr:*shakes head at Propheci*
Propheci:*grins* Discipline, Reepyr...discipline...
Also, imagine Stewardd as a babysitter...LOL! ^_^
Deathshallcome - October 21, 2007 04:00 PM (GMT)
Word Paynn Armeggaddon and Libris are the ones I picked.
Word Paynn is quite obivious look at how he took care of Moordryd. Teaching him how to steal and stuff like that. I wouldn't want him to teach my child that.
Armeggaddon.... well as the old saying goes First Imperssions are a big. And my first imperission of him is 'Here is the door thank you for coming by'
Libris.... well no kid wants a baby sitter as a gigantic dragon that is all bones... I think they would have nightmares about that.
I actually think that Beau and Decepshun and Coershun would be excellent babysitters.
Beau because he can take pressure and he can actually be nice and is kind toward younger kids take Lance for example you never see him be snarly or mean toward him. You only see him being nice.
Same goes with Decepshun and Coershun. Even though they don't show alot of personality in the show, I truely believe they have what it takes to be baby sitters.
Well.. you got my answer and thats it.
Dragon Fanatic - October 21, 2007 05:09 PM (GMT)
Ah, Armeggadon wouldn't be watching my children if I was going to have one (Can't because of epilepsy :( )
The Hydrag - October 21, 2007 05:42 PM (GMT)
I say Armageddon and Race Marshal Budge.
Armageddon because hed try to steal your kid and teach him to become the next great leader of the black draconium empire.
Race Marshal Budge because he'd convince your kids that dragons are terrifying and to avoid them at all costs. Id rather the kid pick something usefull up from the Muhortah, Libris or Word Payne before Id let those two get their hands on my kid.
Though I would love to see the look on Cyranos face if you told him hed have to watch a kid for a while. Im not sure if Profeci would be good or bad because hed use the control gear and the kid so he wouldnt get into trouble and also Profecii would have the tiny squeaky voice.LOL!!!!!!!!
arrow - October 21, 2007 07:33 PM (GMT)
why only two? you make it so hard *pouts*
oh well, i picked propheci and word
woulda also picked armeggy, furox, samurox, vociferous, malto, muhorta, hydrag, and abandonn
Nowna - October 21, 2007 07:53 PM (GMT)
Word and Moordryd  And the...dragons? a baby sitter as a dragon? :eep:
Shining-Dragon - October 21, 2007 08:14 PM (GMT)
i voted for word and furox.
word, he'd terrifi the baby with his rants of d-h war
and
furox, looks like a tempermentel dragon.
Crystal Wildfyr - October 21, 2007 10:03 PM (GMT)
Armeggaddon, 'cause he'd probly kill my kid, and Artha Penn, 'cause he'd probly make my kid into an idiot like he is...
Liliwen - October 21, 2007 11:57 PM (GMT)
Actually, I think Word wouldn't be a bad babysitter. I'm sure he's babysat Moordryd, so he knows what he's doing. And it's just for one night, right? So I wouldn't think any bad values he happens to teach the kid will stick, not with mine, anyway. :P A plus if my kid is a baby, it won't understand Word's crazy rants. All the better. :P
I voted for Armeggedon, the Muhorta and a hydrag.
Armeggeddon: He has better things to do, (taking over the world, extract revenge, resurrect the league of eight...he's a busy guy) and I'd fully expect him to just walk away from the kid. Not a good babysitter. :D
The Muhorta and a Hydrag: I'd hate to think I just left them with some dinner...

OUCH! That hurt! LOL!!! No I understand why you dont like my family. *Snickers and laughs* Id prefer a big juicy yellow bellied newt over a stringy little kid anyway. :D

*whole crew bursts out laughing*
Me to Moordryd: I told you! I frickin told you! I'm not the only one who thinks that Artha's stupid rubs off! That's one reason I voted for him. I also voted for Furox/Samurox. And I voted for Captain Feir because he can't even handle a wraith dragon. How could he handle a kid?
Dana Phantom - October 22, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
My first choice was Word. He would corrupt the kid! "Oh, just think, in a few more months, all the Dragons will be mine! And I will rule the world! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
My second was Propheci. Being taken over and plotting a Dragon-Human War are not approved play time games.
Others acceptable are any of the Bonemark Dragons, a Hydrag or Muhorta, or Armeggadon. The rest... probably wouldn't do too badly...

So people would have to think about it and narrow it down. It's a lesser of two (or more) evils problem. :)
I figured some people would pick Artha as the worst babysitter. But by doing so, it means you'd rather leave your child in the tentacles of the Muhorta or in the clutches of a hydrag. Interesting choice. ;)
The Muhorta might not be so bad. It will most certainly drain all your child's energy, but probably won't kill him or her (emphasis on "probably"). Word probably wouldn't be so bad. After all, he hasn't killed Moordryd (yet). :P
Furox would be worse. He definitely has anger management issues, however he does allow a rider so he's not totally against humans.
There are a number of bad baby sitters on the list, but I picked Armeggaddon and a hydrag. Armeggaddon has stated he wants to destroy humanity and if given the chance, he'll probably start with your child. So he's out. Hydrags don't allow riders, so I think that makes them a bit more dangerous to humans than nasty dragons like Furox and Samurox. Plus we've seen them trying to take a piece out of people on multiple occasions. So I think they'd be a more dangerous choice than most of the others.
Renesh - October 23, 2007 05:04 PM (GMT)
Only two?! *whines* I voted for Word and Armeggadon, but I definately wouldn't want Furox, Samurox or a Hydrag with my kid. As you said, the Muhorta probably wouldn't kill 'im, but she isn't exactly my first choice either.
Of course, I'd never have a kid anyway. Word would probably be a better babysitter then I would be a mother!
MaiBeyblader - October 23, 2007 05:32 PM (GMT)
I voted for Armeggy and the Hydrag. I am NOT leaving my kid with a man who wants to destroy all humanity or in the claws (and teeth) of a hungry monster! <_< Never, I say!
Word, well, Word has a son and he's still alive so Word as a babysitter wouldn't be too bad. But tell me, how would you get Word Paynn to babysit a child who isn't his own flesh and blood? I mean... he's rich! What evil blackmailing thing have you got on him? :plot:
I want in! :D
Nayade - October 23, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
Uuh, they are so many that will be a bad choose for babysitter :D :D , but I choose Armeggy and Propheci. But Multo, Muhorta, Furox, Samuroxdon't look also as a good choice. And also I would not leave my kyd with a belly-mewt  Could you imagine one of these taking care of a kyd? ^_^

Maybe as soon as you leave your kid with him, Word will turn around and hire another babysitter to look after the kid so he doesn't have to do anything. :D

For this poll, we'll just assume Word has a free evening and he's bored and looking for something new to try. :) People do that. ;) Same for all the other potential babysitters on the list.

Aww, why not? Furox could teach the kid all about bonemarks and how to roar really good (hint: you have to project from the diaphragm). :D
SilverDragon - October 25, 2007 09:56 AM (GMT)
That woman in Artha the Drac who let her little kid wander onto the track and nearly get smushed by dragons.
Da Suga Queen - October 25, 2007 10:10 AM (GMT)
Speaking of smushing, I wouldn't want Race Marshall Budge to babysit my kid. He's probably body slam it or something.
And, of course, the Muhorta. She's a massive energy-draining freaky, octopus-like THING of a dragon! I mean it'd be like, "The babysitter's here!'
"HISSSSSSSS!!"
AND THEN SHE'D MURDERISE YOU BEFORE YOU GOT OUT THE DOOR!!!
(the Muhorta is a girl, right? I think it was, anyway...)

LOL :D That just sounds so funny! And yet sad. And the muhorta does seem like a girl. Glad I'm not the only one thinking that.
Dana Phantom - October 27, 2007 03:56 AM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure Mortis or Parm calls ithe Muhorta a "she" in the show, so it's probably female.

YES
Sarah Frost - October 27, 2007 06:24 AM (GMT)
I disagree strongly--we already place the responsibility for childcare unequally with mothers and think they have to be near-perfect, while we regard men looking after their own offspring as "babysitting" or doing something very good in choosing to look after the kids. (Consider how we regard single mothers versus single fathers.) The mother seemed to care about her child very much and only had a momentary slip of inattention. It's not fair at all to blame her for the accident.

No. I think it was just Word.

So there are presently two votes for Parmon as the worst babysitter in Dragon City. Anyone who voted that way care to elaborate? :)

Oh. It's been ages since I saw that episode, so I must have gotten something wrong. Still, you'd think that they'd put up barriers to prevent people wandering onj to the track and getting trampled.

Actually i agree on what sarah frost says on this. The mother does care deeply for her child as all mothers do. The thing began to move on its own if ya never noticed that. She could have been thinking that is was not going to move so she watched the race. Its not her fault at all. She must have felt that her child was safe thats when she must have token her eyes off of that kid. If the mother didn't feel that her baby was safe..... her eyes would have been on the baby 24/7.

Agreed. A mother is horrified about her child getting injured in anyway. After all, a mother and child bond in three minutes after the kid is born.
Deathshallcome - October 29, 2007 01:43 AM (GMT)
and most mothers are over protective *I have one*. So don't actually accuse the mom. She didn't have any idea that was going to happen... didn't you see her freak out when she saw her baby was missing?

Probably because he caves so easily. He'd wimp out if the kid started bellowing that it wanted ice cream or something, so it's probably because when you got home you'd find Parmon locked in a fridge while the kid drives a monster truck into the house. Sure, he's taken out Armeggadon and has been chosen to be the Power Booster, but he'd be no match for a psychotic 5-year old.

That is soooooooo true!
If I was that 5 year old, I wouldn't mind having Parm babysit me. :plot: :plot: :plot:
The Furox - November 2, 2007 07:31 AM (GMT)
So the fact that Parm might cave easily makes him a worse babysitter than Armeggaddon who would probably kill the child??? Like I said, interesting choice for worst babysitter. :P

Decepshunmy - July 5, 2008 08:47 AM (GMT)
I would not pick Word, because he is too evil, and would have a bad influence on the bay. He has not raised his son personally.
I do not trust Propheci, either.

I do not want my children to wander off to these creatures' caves at all. It gives me the creeps just thinking about it. Dragons are kinda cool, except Furox! Oh no!
