Title: Questions About Making A Db Mv
Description: Including a question about torrent.

I've got a torrent that has all the DB episodes up to When Opposites Attract, and right now I'm downloading the Return of Drakkus Part II. (57.7% done!) Anyway, when that file is done downoading, will I be able to easily get it into WMM? Of all the files, I've only checked that one off. I can use that even if none of the others are downloaded, right? And how would I get it into WMM? What happens when it's done downloading? Note: This is the first time I've ever used torrent.

I don't use WMM (nor do I ever intend to), but I believe it can handle any movie format for which you have a decoder installed on your system. All the episode downloads I've seen are encoded with Divx, so as long as you've installed that (www.divx.com) then it should work.

You should be able to start using any particular episode as soon as it finishes downloading. There will be a menu item or button somewhere to import the media to your movie project.

Furox is right, anything you have a codec for should work. I got my eps off a P2P network, and had some serious issues publishing them (see my help thing in the help forum), but I want to try converting them from AVI to DivX. By the way, would you happen to know a Linux compatible WMM sort of thing?

Well, they're sort of different things. AVI is a "container" for video formats while DivX is a codec. Most of the AVIs floating around are actually encoded with DivX, but an AVI file can contain just about any codec.

A google search for "linux movie editor" turned up several possibilities. Whether any of them are any good, I don't know. You'll have to try them and see.

:) Thanks. I should have the episode downloaded by the end of the week. (Hopefully.) Can't wait to attempt my first DB MV. :D

tell us when u make 1! i would love to see it! :D I have never tried a torrent before. thats probably why i am missing 5 or so episodes. my MV making is stalled b/c of it. :( i usually download them seperately.
i really need to find a different MV maker insted of windows movie maker. WMM keeps freezing on me. I hope you have better luck with it.
