Hey everyone,

You may have noticed that the forum is about to hit 50,000 postings! That's an average of roughly 50 postings per day over the two and half years the forum has been here! That's a pretty momentous number and it seems to me we should do something to commemorate the event. Can anyone think of a fun thing we could do, like maybe a little contest of some sort?

If you have an idea, post it here and we'll see if we can find something to do.

Meh, I volunteer to write shortfic for anyone leaving the 50,00th comment, if they can be identified and are interested? Any canon character and/or OC.

A special Top banner?????

Maybe we shoud make a posts wher everyone woud write a few good words about the Forum ;) (Just a thougth)

I'm not sure if there's a way to tell who made the 50,000th posting unless someone happens to be watching the counter as it happens. Perhaps the person who makes the posting can snag a screen shot of the forum front page showing the postings hitting 50,000 (or soonest thereafter) and can win Sarah's prize?

Any other ideas?

it should be something we could all do... the contest that is.

There's also nothing that says we can't do more than one thing. So that might be a way to get more inclusion. So if you've got ideas, post'em!

someone should draw a forum mascot. i know Beau is the face of Dragon Booster, but someone should draw and name a dragon dedicated to the forum. I think anyone who wants to should and I or we could vote on a forum mascot.

Looks like we'll cross 50,000 within the next 24 hours. Somebody should try to grab a screenshot at least as the counter rolls over. So keep checking the count (but don't make spam postings trying to push it over) and let's see if we can catch it!

I managed to capture two screenshots, but I just missed getting the one showing 50,000. Here's 49,999 and here's 50,002. I took the second one just after I posted myself trying to be number 50,000, but I missed it by two! :faint: Oh, well. Maybe I'll have better luck when we reach 100,000! :dance:

well i would be interested in a short fanfic about a little adventure Beau and Fracshun go on, by themselves. they either face danger or get into mischeif or sm like that. basically a brother fic sort of, if you get what i mean

This is unbelievable! That's exactly what I would have requested had I won! And when I say exactly, I mean exactly. I too like to think that Beau and Fracshun think of each other as brothers even though they're most likely unrelated by blood, and I even wrote that into one of my fan fictions (Beware of Propheci). I love the idea of them having an adventure together without their humans around and it's something I've thought about doing but never had a good idea for a premise.
